Center Video Happy Hour

Hey.  I sent out a google calendar thing but also I'm posting a topic.  I am trying to get together a video happy hour (drink, chat, play games, etc) at 7pm Pacific next Saturday in the Discord chat (which now has server video chat for up to 25 people woo).

I had ALSO asked about last night but that was last minute and basically no one did that anyway (MT and I for most of the time and Cassius for a little bit on audio).

Also if we get together and hate Discord and want to use Zoom because it has fun virtual backgrounds, we can totes do that too on the fly.  Figured Discord was easy as it now has built in video chat functions and a large majority of people here have Discord already.

I have dnd, every saturday starting at 6pm central and runs til at least 11, sometimes longer

If not, I mean whatevs we can catch you eventually.  If you finish by 11, I think that still puts you half way into the 4 hour block (I had intended for people to just kinda come as go as they pleased but wanted to block out time).

I had no idea the game would be completely ruined/not the same were it moved one day into the future.

Granted I've only helped out a game or two as an NPC (never been big on DnD myself) but from what I understand, that in most cases it's harder to reschedule due to clashing schedules of players involved. And while current circumstances make it to where a lot of it can be done via online and more possible to reschedule it might not be the case for some who still have reasons they can't move it. To consider it ruined or not the same is not where my mind goes in suggestion of moving.

I am only free to play 2 days a week. One game I run on sat and the other I play on sunday. 

 

As a player I can skip, but not as the dm. Outside of like what happened when I had bronchitis. That shit makes dnd impossible.

It's the only thing that works properly for everyone in the way we need.  The worst thing using Zoom is going to do is steal the conversation we're having as we drink and play jackbox games.  Nothing of value.
