Saving Private Ryan because that's the only movie on the list that I'm 100% sure I've seen from beginning to end.

Jaws, but I feel like a cheat picking it as I know how difficult the shot was and how much the finished product isn't necessarily what he envisaged.

 

But acting, memorable scenes, using the camera to tell a story and not just record what is happening, THAT is the standout movie to me.

I went with Raiders of the Lost Ark.  Indiana Jones movies are some of my favorite movies.  Watched them all the time with my parents when I was a kid (along with Star Wars).  The first one is definitely special too.  I looked through that whole list and kept thinking Raiders the whole time I was reading.

 

Kingdom of the Crystal Skull is obviously a very close second.

Jurassic Park is an easy #1. That movie is a goddamn classic and will never be topped in whatever genre it currently occupies.  Insanely well cast, beautifully orchestrated,  beautifully shot, scary, funny, exciting, it’s got it all. 

 

Minority Report is #2. Another great cast with several fantastic set pieces. Tom Cruise at the height of his powers. One of the best sci-fi films ever made.

I dunno. He has so many movies that are classics. I picked Jurassic Park for special effects alone. 

 

I think Saving Private Ryan might be my favorite of his though.

I would say Jurassic Park, but my wife has a hard on for it, so it's her go to "play in the background while doing something else" movie, and its kind of ruined it for me.

 

Actually just watched Jaws again a couple weeks ago, and it's a good friggen movie.
