Anyone else tentatively hyped for Cyberpunk 2077?

Reasons I'm hyped:

 

- Games based on tabletop settings; always my shit.

- I love Cyberpunk stuff, I once blew off a lecture to... Read Neuromancer alone at the food court, cover to cover, for about the third time.

- And they seem to have the texture of Cyberpunk stuff On. Point.

- Seems to have the right balance of RPG-ey; shoot-ey.

 

I know it's a long way off, (2021 projected) and a lot can happen in that time, but I'm going to allow myself to get buzzed.

Was excited already though. CD Project Red know how to make a game. Witcher 3 is probably just about my favorite game of all time. The work they put into their stuff really shows through and as soon as I heard they were making something new I was basically sold.

New story trailer. Also recommend actually watching the part of the Microsoft E3 presentation where it was shown. I don't think anyone is quite as hyped as Keanu Reeves.

I really like this guy. He stays involved, but doesn't take control (*cough*Lucas*cough*). Combine that with CDPR's tendency to try and represent the core of an IP as best they can and you have a match made in heaven. 

 

he also don't take your shit. Love it. 

The fact that Keanu even agreed to be so heavily involved sends a positive message about this too. Dude's career is on the rise again after slumping a bit after Matrix due to the sheer popularity of John Wick. He would not have walked on that stage if he didn't truly support it. No one can make Keanu do something he doesn't wanna do right now.
