I really do not like how Cortana looks at all.  There is some serious fucking uncanny valley shit going on there and the design is just unnerving a bit in general.  I'm used to her being blue or purplish.  Seems like a really arbitrary thing to change.

Other than that, interesting.  Wondering if the "human" with the covenant just TAKES that form.  Saw weird tentacles like the Gravemind thing from Halo 2.  Maybe it's supposed to be that or some other thing that is just taking human form (she does say something about "HUMANS" at one point).

Definitely not getting Paramount+ for this though.

Also really surprised we just got a whole Mando episode out of nowhere.

Really enjoying this show.  It's not perfect but it's just comfy Star Wars watching.  Seeing Mando wielding the Darksaber was fun and you get to see his next little quest (probs next season).

I do not love what a huge portion of gaming Microsoft owns now after that though.  On their way to becoming like Disney in the gaming space.

1. Halo Infinite

Surprisingly fun campaign.  The story is pretty much the usual Halo fare though I did find some aspects of it (specifically the Cortana stuff) legitimately interesting.  I'm not sure if there's context missing because I didn't play Halo 5 or if they designed the game in that way, but the mystery there was intriguing for me.  Also the grapple hook is probably the best thing to happen to Halo.  I fucking loved that shit.  Some of the game outlets were a little ridiculous calling it like the best game / Halo ever or whatever kind of shit but it's definitely better than Halo 5 and I kind of enjoyed the open world.  It was fun to have a little control over how I approached missions....like hovering out of range from the target enemies and needling their health down with the USMC hover copter thing.

I played a few hours of that Avengers game and while the story is interesting, it's not really that unique and the gameplay is just SO bland that I think I'm just gonna bail and play something I have more fun with rather than trying to force my way through this to finish the story.  I figured I have Game Pass so I might as well do it and I'm just kinda meh on it.

I might just go play GotG instead since that's supposed to actually be fun.

Bottom third for me, not the worst but firmly in the category of "this should have been a TV show."  I think it suffered immensely by not having enough space to spread out.

I read that the actual reason they replaced Hugo Weaving as Smith was literally just scheduling conflicts.  Like holy shit, you should have just made that shit work.  Unbelievable lol.

As I said in the other thread, overall definitely just a big meh.  It's probably the 3rd best one because the 3rd movie was absolute garbage.  I really felt like the entire plot of the movie was like an episode of a TV show that went on for WAY too long.  Like we didn't get the real story, it was basically just filler.  Supposedly there are somehow MORE of these they're hoping to make....and I'm....confused about that but I guess we'll see?

They kept his face open because quite frankly, Dafoe is terrifying without it and he wanted to be able to actually emote.  I actually was fine with it.  Initial reaction to posters was oh that looks weird, but I actually enjoyed that in the end.

Musical was funny and then it went on way too long.

I'd give the show an 8/10 overall I think.  I enjoyed it quite a bit but some of that also comes from my love of the comic lol.

Also just watched the new Matrix.  Movie felt kind of pointless.  6 or 7 at most?  I feel like nothing particularly interesting happened because

So I got this on Game Pass and just beat it last night.  Not bad.  Story was iffy though I did kind of like it somewhat.  The grappling hook was a very welcome addition to the gameplay.  Really glad to have that, I got to do all kinds of fun stuff.  You can grapple bad guys even and eventually unlock something where you fucking slam and stun them.  And you can grapple guns to you....and grapple yourself into vehicles (I stole many a Banshee this way).

Go watch the anime.  This got cancelled and you're gonna want the whole story.  Seriously, the anime is excellent.  There's a reason this got made into a live action in the first place.

Loved the show.  Spoiler tagged the topic so watch ya ass.

Kingpin reveal was orgasmic.  His fight where he's a fucking TANK was phenomenal.  I'm actually really happy to see them delve into what a powerhouse he is physically in addition to the genius.  Makes him even more fucking terrifying.  Love the new look with the cane too, I want to see him fire a laser.   Definitely not dead of course.  Cutaway was REALLY obvious there.  Strange choice in general but everyone knows at this point in comics, no body = no death, even the normiest of normies so it's fine lol.

I loved everything about the show.  Their relationship building, getting somewhere satisfying near the end.  The little bits of pizza dog.  Bringing him and Kate over for Christmas.  Loved the normal supportive relationship that Clint has with his wife like @Mera'din said.  We didn't have to deal with CW relationshit drama.  I've been really enjoying that in all these non-CW shows man.  Fuck I was so tired of it before.  I LOVE that the watch points to his wife being Mockingbird.  Really curious if that is the final nail in the coffin for Agents of Shield or if she just passed down the mantle or something.

Just a really fucking fun show all around though.  Definitely heavily inspired by the comic (READ IT @Mera'din) but not an exact copy (Clint and Kate sort of switch places a bit) and the story is different enough to make things interesting.  Just loved it.  I REALLY hope there is going to be a season 2.

I think people lean too hard into the Peter is a loser thing.  He's a little awkward and that's why he makes jokes but becoming Spider-Man gives him a lot more self confidence in the end. I've definitely softened to Garfield's interpretation over the last little bit.  I feel bad he got screwed by that terrible 2nd movie.  Nothing to do with him, just bad writing.

Would much rather see them push towards a live action Spider-verse type of thing instead where he could play off other characters a little more. He definitely has talent that got squandered in the ASM movies.

I thought that for a bit but after a rewatch, I think he actually did do a decent Peter.  It was just updated.  All 3 of them definitely have different takes and that keeps things interesting.  He's still smart, a little awkward at times, and I can see the fit.  Plus he's just such a good actor lol.  I LOVE his physicality in the suit though for sure.  Was always one of my favorite parts.  And he's actually funny whereas Toby was just kind of awkwardly shouting the jokes, Garfield actually made me laugh.
