Marvel's Wolverine Mediocre is the best description. Story was bewildering. You can tell they just wrote a story they wanted to write and slapped these X-Men characters on it wherever they could fit. None of them are actually proper characterization and the world they've built here is just kind of stupid for a multitude of reasons. I was not surprised to find that there were literally no comic writers involved with this at all in contrast to the Spider-Man games that actually did get some. Gameplay was pretty fun but the original review I saw that said it wears out it's welcome by the end was 100% on the money. When I first started I was like oh man no way but by the end, I was like christ how much of this shit is left can we just end it (or as someone expertly put it, like checking how many pages are left in a book). You're zoomed in way too far, the actual fighting eventually just ends up being button mashing because it's just messy, and by the end I didn't even want to go back and finish the challeneges that involved fighting because that was cancer and I knew each one was going to take like 30 fucking minutes even if I did it first attempt. Definitely one of the worse Insomniac games. I'd give it a 6 or 7 at best. Meh. Insomniac should go back to their own games with good gameplay because these Marvel games (at least storywise) keep getting worse and worse. Spidey 2 gameplay was peak and this entire game was just a big wet fart. I really went into this thinking oh people are whining about it not being open world (totally fine with that, preferred even) and other dumb things but came out like yeah alright this is kind of ass though lol. Go make a new Resistance game. I miss that shit. Let's these sleep a while or something.

The weird thing about the shared universe is they said apparently the X-Men don't exist here? Makes no fucking sense lol. But then it looked like there's a team of mutants kicking around anyway?? I'll never understand these things honestly but I guess we'll see. Remember when the Arkham Knight was totally not the Red Hood?

God damn that Slaughter Void soundtrack is metal as fuck.

1. Diablo 4 2. Spider-Man: Miles Morales 3. Spider-Man 2 -- Platinum babyyyyy Game was fuckin awesome. Ended up getting the special edition with the statue and it's fantastic. I REALLY enjoyed the symbiote powers in the game. It's a good thing too because I feel like otherwise Miles would have been WAY better to play as with the electric powers.

I haven't been super into gaming lately but this brought me back out of it baby. Yes, I did get the collectors edition. 19 inches of Venom and it's fantastic.
