I WAS liking him until he just decided to fuck off his 'plan' early and ice Lunafreya on a whim. A which point the whole game itself began to suffer as what was this huge promising journey was stiffled from being phoned in with a quick jump to the future after few short chapters later so future Ardyn could.. what, attack you with a quick time event? And then Lunafreya just live anyways because reasons. (I hope you're ready to deal with some cynicism) I'm not saying he doesn't need a DLC chapter because if anything, he needed more development than anyone but he was just some ominous character til suddenly he just decided he was the main villain because reasons. I really think they could have done better with him. They could have tied in Kingsglaive tighter and really emphasized the double agent super betrayal and revenge plot better but overall he was just so damn unlikeable to me. I was liking him.. even for that long ass car ride but he was kinda just a dick in the end which kinda blows because usually I like the villains though in saying that, perhaps this DLC giving him some much needed development and bolstered motivations will see that change for me. I dunno about him being the most successful either. Ultimecia was vastly more successful, as was Chaos, Kuja, Exdeath, Sephiroth, etc (and I can go on) It's fine to have a difference of opinion here and I acknowledge his lame world domination plan worked out well for him til he decided that QTEs were his ultimate weakness, but I dunno if that really trumps Ultimecia absorbing time, space and existence or Sephiroth just deciding he is about as dead as he feels like being at any given moment after trying to destroy all life on the planet and sail it around the cosmos destroying life everywhere or Kuja ruling two whole planets or Exdeath merging two whole planets, controlling all demons and building a world of "despair".. Ardyn is kind in the low middle and sure, his plan for the most part works til Noctis teleports into the future in a crystal with Bahamut because reasons, but you could also argue that most if not all FF villains would've succeeded if it weren't for the protagonists and most had loftier goals ? I'm glad Ardyn got a DLC, but I think its shitty Square just phoned it in with the DLC and skipped the last one even though many, like myself had already forked out for the season pass. In any even, i'm glad we'll be able to explore Crown City. I hope being set in the past they show more story for Regis and his Kingsglaive dudes. I'd say they needed a DLC too but really, there could have been a prequel game made out of the events of Kingsglaive and I REALLY would have loved fighting Diamond WEAPON. I was disappointed the WEAPONs made no appearance after that.

I truly found him to be one of the most unlikeable villains in the Final Fantasy series. Flip flopping motives, shitty personality, less character development than the black chocobo.. I dunno if this can save him. It might be too little too late. TBH I would have preferred Episode: Lunafreya and be able to rock a team of Luna, Cindy, Iris and Aranaea. That would have ruled!

Look, Australia has death animals sure but they aren't even on my list of reasons Australia sucks. Here's the top 3: - The heat - Shit internet - People Since I live in an air-conditioned apartment that I rarely leave and have finally gotten decent internet rivaling America's my list of reasons this place sucks is mostly invalidated unless I think longer than 3 seconds and realise I could write an endless list. As I said earlier though, I could walk any direction for 5 hours and still be in the city. Australia is a progressive and modern nation and like any other countries, only once you drive outside of the city or town or as garbage australian white trash would say "out into the bloody sticks" THAT is when you will encounter the murder brigade of animals surrounding all human settlements that have evolved over thousands of years specifically to kill everyone and everything and really, if you see any of these asshole creatures, you should thank them because for their service because for every human they kill, that's one less person in the overpopulation problem. These fuck stain creatures dressed as adorable huggable foreign creatures are earth's antibodies and those bodies they wish to kill are human bodies, make no mistake. Whether they're furry, scaley or feathery, they are the planets white blood cells and we're the virus. Even with the shirt storm of death outside of civilization, I still don't have to worry about being shot, stabbed, mugged or really about much crime. In general, the crime rate is quite low. I assume you guys saw NZ flipping their shit over the Christchurch (gee I wonder if that town was founded by christians) terrorist attack? Well, the reason people flipped their shit is because that sort of thing is unprecedented. No school shootings every month. Not once a year. Not once every 5. Unprecedented. And the second it happened the problem was addressed. Australia and New Zealand are very similar except that they talk even more like garbage than we do. Kinda like America and Canada. Or England and Scotland. Or scots and other scots! So while I appreciate the offer (And I do, I just enjoy being a cynical PoS) until America gets its shit together, by which I mean chills out a bit as these last 2 years have made it look like the least inviting and most divisive place in the western world, i'd rather go to a nice Norse country and enjoy the cold, countryside void of lurking ultra death and know that the government doesn't exist solely as a detriment, just mostly. Or really anywhere that isn't a hassle where beers aren't $5+ each or i'm immediately be engulfed in flames the second I walk into the sun. Finland looks pretty sweet though TBH. America is as scary to me as i'm sure this fear factory country is to all of you. That said, again, wipe Australia off the face of the planet. Shoot it into space, or at least use an eraser on the world map, cut off internet here and pretend like it never existed. Perhaps then, we might come to the same conclusion and animal kind will win, mankind will win and Earth will win and can survive another year or 12.

The industry will be better when EA lays itself off and all its shadily acquired IPs go to dev teams that give a shit about more than bleeding their demographic dry. Same with Activision. I truly hope that loot boxes and similar microtransactions get categorized as gambling by the FTC (which is currently investigating it in the US, Canada, Australia, etc) This nickel and diming of players has become a widely used business model and it needs to stop. The industry and even mobile gaming would be better off without it. I'd much rather play mobile games that I pay $3-10 for then something I have to constantly watch ads in or get screwed while pay to win whales destroy any and all balance.

Okay, so this is my top secret remake of a beloved game. The second Zelda game on the NES. I haven't shown this to many people outside of those who created the engine i'm using to develop this. Basically, i'm trying to take an old school side scroller and re-envision it in ALTTP/Minish Cap styled graphics with alterations to bring the game more in line with other games in the series through renaming items and introducing items that weren't in the original. I've got a lot of extra items working and will extend and elaborate areas where it feels right to do so and perhaps flesh out the world a little while trying to stay as true to the story and original map as possible. The challenge is imagining side-scrolling areas as top-down action adventure areas and I thought it would be a lot harder than has been. 4 temples (changing palaces to Temples for consistency) have been mapped out on paper. I'm trying to get the world map done first while paying attention to towns and making them more memorable than the dull original towns. I'll likely switch them around too and instead of them all having humans, have a Goron town (Darunia) and a Gerudo village (Nabooru) Since Ruto is right at the beginning I was thinking of making Kasuto the Zora village too. Despite showing this I have been as vague as possible. Each area is pretty thoroughly planned out and I do have more maps half done but i'd rather wait til there is something more substantial. I'd kinda worked on random areas and if I focus a bit I can just reveal 2 more quarters of Western Hyrule. I do plan to give Link a house in Rauru Village that you can return to and check records and such. Maybe a father using the dad sprite from Minish Cap and editing it? I'll likely re-use, edit and repurpose a lot of Minish Cap, Four Swords and ALTTP sprites and enemy sprite sets. Obviously, they'll all eventually be editing to make their style consistent but as place holders, the sky is the limit. The final boss is already completely planned out. I know a great way to pull it off, make it difficult and fun and already have his character sprite set ready to go but I need to organize his AI and complete the area even as a stand-alone room for testing. Actual Spoilers AZ2R is on hiatus for a bit while i'm rotating projects but i'll get back to it soon. There will be no teaser trailer or demo and i'd appreciate if nothing left this thread as if AM2R is anything to go off, Nintendo DMCA's them quick smart. I wanna do something with Ganon. Maybe make a Shadow Ganon fight before the final boss. The whole game is literally supposed to be Zelda in a coma because her brother is an idiot and Ganon's minions out for Link's literal blood to use as a catalyst to bring back Ganon. I don't want to make Link to OP but I want to feel strong playing this, not an underpowered pussy like the original game made you feel some times. I can substitute some difficulty in puzzles and pepper in harder enemies here and there. Most bosses should be easy to implement. Others will require some advanced work. Aww you guys. I missed this place to be real. Things just got too polarised while I was going through a lot of bad shit with my health, wasn't medicated, etc. Passionate debate turned into arguments far too easily trying to have open conversation about partisan issues where some people were just never going to change their mind and just wanted to argue their stance. It became easy to snap at people, be nasty and eventually get toxic. It wasn't good for my head space or the Center for me to be around in the state I was in. I needed to get my shit together in a lot of ways. I thought about you guys a lot, even those I probably pissed off beyond reason. Eventually I reflected on a lot of people's words during past disagreements. Okay, that said I may not have ever returned, but MT was like "Yo, no politics, no Chax conspiracies" and I was sold. That's a happy feel good Center I can be into. I'm still passionate about issues but frankly I'm emotionally exhausted with arguing politics online. I'll stick to building a real IRL party and The Center being a chill zone ❤️

Thanks dude. Honestly I stopped because they were costing too much and tasting more and more like chemicals. A pack of 25s go for around $30-35 here now. $65 for a 40g punch. It's literally cheaper to smoke weed but I'm pretty straight edge now. Don't smoke, don't drink, no more raves or festivals (though I miss my flamboyant poly lifestyle sometimes XD) Pleurisy is awful. It's like a fungal or viral infection which is essentially next level pneunonia and I couldnt get antibiotics for it. It's sometimes a symptom of cancer or tuberculosis but thankfully I have neither. It's the worst. If I had to describe it, early on its like putting a rubber band around a balloon and trying to blow it up. That's how breathing felt. Later it's like a hedgehog inside a balloon. Breath out too much and sharp pains. I still feel pain here and there and feel strain but I'm nearly through it after a whole year. I quit smoking beforehand but if I hadn't that would have driven it home XD Writing felt like a natural path to take. I used to bitch about music and games online so I might aswell do it professionally. Nice, will do. It's been on hiatus for like 2 months now as I rotate projects so I don't lose interest. I'll put up a bunch of work in progress pics though. I have a bunch done and a lot on paper and already planned out. Yeah health is a bitch sometimes. That's life though. Sadly unmentionable politics that are banned here are more of a problem than spiders. It's not like on TV. If I walked in any direction for 5 hours it would still be an urban jungle like any other city and I wouldn't see a hint of wild life. Traversable? You know, varied in terrain with more usable items, puzzles, etc. Less primitive. Other two games are my long revised and retconned jrpg and an action adventure survival horror, the latter being based in the Russian tundra in an old derelict missile silo with a dig site at the base ? As for my dumb heart I apparently have a slow heart, arrhythmia, had tier 1 and 2 heart blocks but the tier 2 one is gone. Basically I am encouraged to be a sloth so I'm cool with that. Almost worse than that, I have had pleurisy for over a year and am still on the ass end of that. After it hurting when I breath for so long I convinced myself I was dying but apparently I'm fine but I can't be medicated for it and just need to wait a billion years for it to go away lol

Thanks guys. I missed the Center TBH What's new? Well, I quit smoking and am now 90kg or nearly 200pounds give or take (not good with conversion) am at the gym turning it into muscle so one day I can beat up Chax though I'll probably still lose to Jenny. The Metal Review is at a healthy 5-10k monthly viewership whether I neglect it or not, DudeGoBack is about to pass 1000 episodes. Also I have been writing proper gaming reviews and recently got picked up by a guy who works in IGN/TechRadar/Etc so I'll be a paid gaming journalist soon. On top of that I'm developing 3 games including a secret remake of Zelda 2 in LTTP/Minish Cap style/graphics and have completed 1/3 of the entire world map. So yeah, I keep busy. I'm a pretty different guy TBH. I've been regularly seeing psychiatrists and psychologists for years, have a heart monitor implanted in my chest with Bluetooth and connected to my phone, have to take 6 pills daily and just turned 33. No Switch yet, just got out of debt from moving to a way bigger apartment with the best internet I've seen in this smouldering coal of a nation. Bought a whole house on new furniture etc. But, am saving for a Switch now. I need it to record episodes and review games with regardless (plus new pokemon. Oh lord he comin!)
