    Tokiyuki almost certainly alive because of the whole "learn your enemy's secret technique" thing.  Still pulling for Kojiro!  My man deserves a victory, and after some of the struggles/losses they've faced recently, it would be nice to see the Elusive Warriors have another total victory.  We'll see though...

     

     

    I feel like the Elusive Warriors are definitely due for a total victory. And I am for sure 100% pulling for Kojiro. I dunno, I’m just a tad worried it could get ugly for somebody. I don’t think there have been any major death flags for Kojiro… but the good guys haven’t had any devastating losses since Yorishige ( :salute: ) and this is a war after all. I am gonna be super bummed out if/when there are more big losses on Tokiyuki’s side :crying2: Very much hoping that doesn’t happen though.

    I haven’t read all the new stuff for this week yet but I am loving the action in MMA, Elusive Samurai, and Sakamoto!

    Elusive Samurai #139

     

    Two captivating battles going on at the same time. No way that Tokiyuki is down for the count, because he’s the MC and therefore has plot armour… but he definitely took a hard hit there :uhoh: I might be more worried about Kojiro. Things were going a bit too easily for him before his opponent got juiced up by that needle-arrow thing.

    Love how all the pro assassins can’t stop one fat dude and a girl :rotfl:

    I am really looking forward up this next showdown Nagumo and bad-guy.

    I got a nice Hario coffee grinder and a bag of dark roast beans, a bottle of vodka ( Grey Goose! :monocle: ), a bit of clothes, and some chocolate. My mum also sent me some $$$ which will inevitably goes towards buying guitar parts :gaigrin:

    I still need to try to get a first look at Undead Unluck… :lurk:

     

    Yubisaki to Renren (A Sign of Affection) sounds like it could be a nice feel-good story for this winter. Crunchy had it in their lineup.

    Dr. Stone wrapped up, a solid finale, and a continuation was announced. Still so much story left to cover. And some great new characters to introduce still too! 
     

    One episode left of JJK. I won’t mind if the anime ends with the Shibuya Incident, because the next arc is a bit of a mess IMHO… but maybe it would be better animated? Never know.

    I must say, I’m not super hyped for the winter season. But we’ve gotta have a seasonal thread, so here we are :riiight:

    I’ve looked over the MAL page a couple times now and honestly nothing is jumping out at me. Once I know what Crunchyroll will have streaming, I might take a closer look at a couple things. I think I would love to watch a good slice-of-life or light-hearted teenage romance story (e.g. something along the lines of Horimiya or Skip and Loafer) this winter. I’m not sure if anything new is going to scratch that itch though. This winter might end up being a backlog-catch-up season instead.

    Yeah, it’s nice that the opponent isn’t just a punching bag. There is a bit more depth to it. 


    Here are my top 5 most-read titles this year according to Jump:

    Should be a few more tied with Sakamoto and Akane, the other stuff I follow weekly, but it cuts off at 5 in the email they send out.

    Yeah I have pretty high hopes for this fight. I really enjoyed this week’s chapter. Tokiyuki is learning on the fly. Really want to see him apply what he’s picking up from Sadamune to take him out. On top of that, there is Kojiro’s fight, and what Nitta is doing. These kids are tough!

    I watch JJK on Crunchyroll and there’s a new episode every Thursday, so I’m just watching whatever is on there. Maybe Gogoanime is a week behind..? 
     

    That’s cool news about Zom 100! Curious to see what happens next.

    Yeah man I am hyped for the next bouts in MMA! Really pulling for Nao to win. 
     

    I am also hyped for what’s next in Akane-banashi. 
     

    Elusive Samurai set up a new showdown between Tokiyuki and bug-eye. I’m very curious to see how that goes down. 
     

    The latest Spy x Family was really good too :nod:

    Nope, I didn’t think for a second that the Jays would land Ohtani. 10 years / $700 million is nuts. Imagine how much the Jays would have had to over-pay on top of that to win the deal. You can’t build a team like that. Unless you’re the Dodgers :rotfl:

     

    Seattle definitely appears to be clearing the decks to try to sign a big free agent. Maybe Snell or Bellinger? Yamamoto? Or are they losing money in their TV deal like how San Diego got messed around by Bally / Diamond Sports? That would also cause a team to cut payroll.

    God damnit I love Ginro :rotfl: Too many good moments for him in this episode!

    This is definitely the part of the story where I stopped getting hung up on realism. They’re basically a bunch of cave-people, but, yeah, they’re going to the moon. Why not! :lol:

    Yeah, Beat and Motion is very very good. I love it :heart: 


    I saw that Blue Box got an anime announced recently, so I’ve been thinking about picking it up. I’m assuming it’s fairly light-hearted. Could be fun. High school romance stuff with a sports theme.

    Bummer about the pets—that dude is cruel, whoever he is (I am really struggling with who’s who in this arc)—but I really want to see Denji running wild as Chainsaw Man again.

    Yeah, no Hulu up here. I expect it would become available on Disney+ eventually... maybe it's an exclusive for Hulu while it's airing and then hits Disney+ after. I dunno. Might as well just pick up the manga in Jump!
