Wow, I really didn't see that coming. When I tuned out the Dodgers were still up 3-0. Figured they had that locked down Two surprising results yesterday. I didn't see the Dodgers losing this early. There are more players I like on the Dodgers so I would have liked to see them advance, but the Nats have their fair share of exciting players too - and the whole "better without Harper" narrative is something I find amusing. Looks like the Cards won the season series vs. the Nats quite handily. Four of the games were played quite early in the season so they could maybe be discounted, but as recently as mid-September they took 2-of-3 against Washington. Gotta think a little longer about my NLCS pick. Come on Rays!

Well I guess the Braves are screwed

Yay Rays Couple of good pitching match ups in the deciding NLDS games today. I'm still hoping to see Braves/Dodgers, but I think the NLCS will be good no matter which teams advance.

I guess "PlayStation 4 U" didn't do well with focus groups, so PS 5 it is

Turns out the Twins couldn't win a game Good to see the Rays beating up on Verlander early in Game 4 though. I want to see them take the DS in 5 games because I think Astros fans seem just a little too sure that they're going to win the whole thing. (I mean, Astros/Dodgers World Series is a pretty safe bet, but let's not act like we're there already...)

Braves couldn't close the door today, and the Rays still have a bit of life left in them. You think the Twins can win a game?

Yeah, sucks for that dude. I'd never heard of him. RIP Twins.

I gotta keep watching Carole and Tuesday... Checked out the first episode of Welcome to Demon School! Iruma-kun this morning. It was kinda fun. I was hoping to pick up some Yu Yu Hakusho sort of vibes, but this is a bit more childish than that. Doesn't look like it will be very fan service-y, so it could be a good Saturday morning show for me and the kiddo.

I think the Canucks have potential to be sneaky good this year. Not a Cup contender, but maybe they'll turn a few heads. My Jets are probably going to take a step back this year. Not sure what's going on with the Byfuglien situation People in Toronto are really high on the Leafs this year and it will probably end in tears. Should be fun to watch

I enjoyed Smash on 3DS but I didn't play it nearly as much as I used to play Melee. I have thus far been hesitant to drop $80 on Smash Ultimate because I'm not sure I'm gonna bother with it enough to get my money's worth. I'll wait and see if it ever gets a good sale or noticable price drop, but it will probably take a long time.

Nice to see Atlanta even things out. It's pretty nuts how good Verlander continues to be.

Also started watching Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress: The Battle of Unato on Netflix last night. It's a movie that was released earlier this year and is broken up into 3 episodes on Netflix. I thought maybe it was going to be a new season or something because I never heard about the movie, and I felt like the pacing was really weird in the first episode. Turns out it was just the first third of a movie, which makes more sense. Why not just put it on Netflix as a movie...?

Ono's butler is a true hero The man just wants her to have a bit of time to have fun, and he wants a Virtual Boy () -- is that so much to ask for? Not necessarily new for the fall season, but I checked out this SD Gundam thing last night and had to tap out pretty quickly. It's really dumb.

Poor Twins. At least this Twins team is pretty good. That Twins team that played the Yankees in the Wild Card game a couple years ago didn't really have a hope.

Guess I was right on the Rays. Yandy Diaz is really good! ALDS - Rays @ Astros - Twins @ Yankees NLDS - Cards @ Braves - Nats @ Dodgers The Rays might give Houston a run for their money, so I might actually be picking Tampa to win that one; but I'd take the home teams (Yanks, Braves, Dodgers) to win pretty comfortably in the other Division Series.

I have always wished I could draw better, but things never come out on paper how they look in my head I'll follow along to see what you come up with! And maybe do some doodles in the margins of my notebook during quiet moments at work

I'm not sure. I feel like he's lost a lot of his shine. But I could also see another team giving him a shot. Who you got in the Wild Card games? Rays/A's is a total toss up to me. I think I'd bet on the Rays with Morton starting... but the A's are a bit if a mystery to me, I don't know how they keep doing this. I think the Nats are probably the better team than the Brewers without Yelich, but I'll be cheering for the Brewers.

I hopped on the eShop the other day to look at the DQ games and other new releases but I got distracted by Crypt of the Necrodancer being on sale for $5, so that's what I played this weekend I didn't realize there was new stuff in the Switch version. I'd be happy to play the same old game anyway, but it's been fun figuring out what the new items do.

The first 3 Dragon Quest games hit the eShop today, so I might be playing one of those a bit this weekend I'm assuming they are ports of mobile/Steam versions. Graphics look on par with the mobile versions of classic FF games. Gimme the FFV mobile port on Switch please Squeenix!
