I just watched the first episode, I like the aesthetics at least. Not quite sure what to think of the story just yet, but I think I'll keep watching.
-
I tried to watch the new episode on Crunchyroll but it wouldn't play properly Try again tomorrow I guess
-
Based on the first episodes, I think Listeners and Appare-Ranman! are both winners for me. Listeners especially, that first episode was rad.

What about rent/mortgage payments? -
I like the white with black style better than all black... but setting aside colours, it does look weird in shape. My first thought was the Xbox controller.

Shitty situation, but at least you are being cautious and all that gralic. Still quite a people out there, like you say, that haven't fully clued in. And if it indeed was COVID-19 that you were sick with recently, here's hoping that you are now immune to it for a decent chunk of time. But I don't think we know enough about that yet. Stay safe. -
Might have to subscribe to Funi this season, looks like they've got Appare-Ranman!, Listeners, and Tamayomi. Not sure if any of them will simulcast on both Crunchroll and Funi like Fruits Basket, AoT, etc.

Must be worried about their sales numbers if they proceed with the planned release date

Probs gotta add this detective show to this list as well

Ace of Diamond is over (for now) I think it's just that the anime is catching up with the manga so they need to wait a while before starting another season. They can't just end where they're at in the tournament

Man, I haven't played a Mortal Kombat game in forever. I played the first three games a bunch on SNES (or Genesis at friends' houses) way back when. I also played Street Fighter II a tonne back then, and I've always come back to Street Fighter games over the years, but for some reason I've never revisited Mortal Kombat / checked out new MK games. I'm not really sure why...

Not sure what the situation is like where you're at, but here in Ontario the problem IMO is that the definition of an "essential workplace" is far too broad (as it is right now). The closure of non-essential business has not had a great enough effect. A more serious lockdown would require more people to actually stay home, which would also lower demand on daycare, allowing for at least some daycares - perhaps the majority of them - to also shutter for the duration of the lockdown. It would be a pretty dreadful few weeks but I think it would be more effective than what we're doing now. -

What kind of business do you work at? School? Daycare? I figured all of those places were closed everywhere by now. -
A demo went up on the eShop today for Bravely Default II https://www.nintendo.com/en_CA/games/detail/bravely-default-ii-demo-switch/

Yeah, I was referring to BNA. Wikipedia answered the question I was thinking out loud about: "The series is scheduled to premiere on April 8, 2020 on Fuji TV's +Ultra anime programming block, to be followed by a worldwide Netflix release later on in the same year.[1] The first six episodes were released on Netflix in Japan on March 21, 2020." So they've teased it Netflix Japan, then it will air on Japanese TV, and then the rest of the world gets it on Netflix later.

Looks like it was licensed by Netflix. Is it already on North American Netflix, or did you watch it on a streaming site? Hopefully this isn't another situation like Carole & Tuesday where I have to wait months before I can watch it rather than watching it weekly while it's new.

False alarm, we are an essential business and I'm not getting laid off (yet) -
I'm the opposite, I think there are more interesting titles on the list for Spring vs. Winter. Hopefully some of the shows that caught my eye actually turn out to be good.

I'm 100% in on Fruits Basket and Major 2nd. And if there is going to be a second season of Gundam Build Divers re:rise then I'll watch it to see what happens. The 1st season of it wasn't very good though Maybe are: - BNA - It's Trigger so I'll give it a shot - LISTENERS - sounds interesting - Appare-Ranman! - could be fun - Tamayomi - more baseball

The province of Ontario has just announced that the deadline is end-of-day tomorrow for all non-essential business and services to close, so I guess I'm getting a temporary layoff. I've never had to go on EI before, so this will be a new experience for me. There will be so many people applying, it's going to be a shitshow. -

Yeah, no matter how cautious you were, self-isolation is the right thing to do once you know you've been exposed. Getting heavier now -

That's no fun. No symptoms so far though? I thought Spring was finally here for good, but we woke up to snow this morning. Not much accumulation, maybe two inches, but big fluffy snowflakes are still coming down. It's a nice scene to see out the window. -

I feel like it could be any day now where we get a call for all non-essential business to shutdown in Ontario, but I guess it's entirely depending on the rate of new cases. If we can kinda/sorta keep living like normal while also limiting community spread then maybe it won't come to a shutdown. But they've already closed schools for an extra two weeks after the March Break week last week, and I won't be surprised if we soon find out it's not just a two week closure. Quite a few stores have already voluntarily closed indefinitely. Restaurants cannot accept dine in patrons, though there is still drive thru and delivery. Supermarkets and liquor/beer stores are getting more strict about social distancing measures. I'm working from home and will continue to do so for as long as possible, even if my family drives me nuts half the time. -
Just kinda curious where we're all at vs. "the good old days" or even just a year or two ago. Do you buy as many new (or new-to-you) games as you used to? More? Less? Do you play games as much as you used to? Do you now buy more digital compared to in the past when it was more or all physical? Do you stream games? (Did Google Stadia ever become a thing? I'm out of the loop ) Share any observations you have about how you consume and play games vs. before. I will wait for a few replies before I start going on and on
