Done at level 52 I had to get lucky on one Grand Cross that fortunately didn't insta-death my character, but once I got rid of the part that casts Grand Cross it was quite simple. Stay healed and chip away until you win.

My solo run is moving along quite nicely now (it was a quiet day at the office ) It's been smooth sailing since I got to Galuf's world. My lonely character is level 50 now in the final world, pretty much ready to make the jump into the Cleft of Dimension, though I might want to grind out a couple more levels first. Sullla beat his solo Dragoon game at level 56, so that's kinda the benchmark I'm playing against here. (But he didn't have the benefit of picking up other job's skills along the way like I have) Dragoon isn't the most sexy job in the game, but Jump sure works well - and it's great being able to equip all of the heavy armor. Having the Beastmaster skills in my back pocket, as well as Steal/Mug from the Thief, helps too. I think the only obstacle I have left is stealing a Dragon Spear from a Crystal Dragon in the Void. It's a rare steal and they are tough monsters to take out. Gonna have to try to steal and then flee (probably a lot of times) until I land one.

I will for sure continue watching Fruits Basket, and if Digimon comes back then the kiddo and I will be all over it. We will also keep watching Major 2nd if it continues through the summer. (There wasn't a new episode last weekend ) I will check out: - The God of High School: is this another Crunchyroll production? I have been quite impressed with Tower of God so far - Deca-Dence: I'm sure you all know my M.O. by now, anime original, hopefully just 12 or 13 episodes, yadda yadda yadda. Hopefully it's a decent sci-fi story There is another anime original (Gibiate) set in the future where a virus has infected people throughout the world which will probably be terrible but I might have to take a look

It's that time again. A season ends and about a week later a new season begins. There's something I find very satisfying about finishing a show and then removing it from my Crunchroll queue / download list. It's like finishing a book. So: What was your Anime of the Season? Was there a clear cut winner? If not, post a short list of your favourites. What did you like best about your favourite anime this season? Spring 2019 - go!

A lot of Rush the last few days, been contemplating buying a Rickenbacker 4003 bass lately - very similar model to the Ric 4001 bass Geddy Lee is most associated with, even if he hasn't really played a Ric that much in the last couple decades. If I pull the trigger on it then those old school Rush tunes are really going to since when I play them (though they already sound great on my jazz bass) Also lots of Miles Davis

Gonna watch it tonight, I've been very curious about what will happen, if they're gonna give us more background story, etc. Just looked it up and the manga has been in serialization since 2015, still running (unclear if monthly or weekly). If this first anime run is popular then we might be in for the long haul here. Hopefully it won't take as long to all play out as Attack on Titan (Speaking of AoT, I am up-to-date on the manga and the shit that will go down in the final season of the anime is nuts. I think we're only a few chapters away from the manga ending now)

Bard is one of the best jobs in the game though Truly game-breaking potential.

Final Fantasy V, it's Four Job Fiesta season. On my second run.
-
I watched a few minutes of the first episode at the start of the season, maybe I'll give it another go.

Self isolation, social distancing, sheltering in place, whatever else you call it

So what are you all doing to keep busy/entertained as the pandemic drags on (and on and on and on) ? I have full blown pandemic fatigue, I'm over it all. I try to continue minding the rules when I'm out at stores and stuff, but even that is proving to be a challenge these days. This morning I took my kids out to play on the play structure and swing sets at our local park, closed signs be damned; it's hot and sticky in our apartment and they're so bored. The changes I've noticed in my 9 year old's behavior and overall mental well-being over the weeks on end at home seem to be far worse than the risk of contracting the coronavirus. I sure hope school opens as planned in September Also just found out two days ago that my daughter's summer soccer is totally cancelled I got a new bicycle a few weeks ago - not an easy task right now! - and have been riding more and more. I used to be Mr. Cyclist when I lived in Toronto and then Vietnam. Haven't had a decent bike, or the time, in recent years. But I'm back in the saddle now. I've been doing 20 km rides on weekend mornings. That used to be easy, now not so much. But I'm slowly getting back into shape. I still of course play my bass a ton, watch some anime, try to keep my kids entertained. Need some new ideas though. -
Slow, Haste, Stop, Float, the ability to break rods for endless -aga spells, Comet for offense in Galuf's world, and then Quick and Meteor late game (plus you will have White Mage's Holy). You've officially got an easy win Time Mage is one of the jobs that basically breaks this game.

For me it's a tie between Fruits Basket and Wave, Listen to Me! Honorable mention to Listeners which started out with a bang, started to lose me a bit in the middle, but ended strong. Anime original, 12 episodes, good story with an actual ending. Pretty much exactly what I look for every season

My solo run is progressing... slowly Started with Thief, which required power-levelling to get through to the Water crystal. At least I learned !Mug in the process. Rolled Berserker for my Water job - of course. More grinding to be able to get past LiquiFlame. Rolled Beastmaster for Fire job. I actually like Beastmaster, but it's not as good as the other jobs I could have gotten. Getting through to the Earth crystal won't be *hard* but it will be a bit of a slog. I peaked ahead and my Earth job is Dragoon, so I'll be finishing the game as a Dragoon with Thief and Beastmaster abilities in his arsenal. Again, shouldn't be too hard... but it won't exactly be a breeze.

Yeah just throw the season away. Basketball might have to do the same thing. And it's still unclear if baseball can salvage their season, last I heard the players and league were not close to an agreement yet.
-
Yeah I was following it weekly. Bummed that it ended, but hopefully it will come back for a third season eventually. Maybe the manga needs more time before there is enough material for more anime.
-
It will be slow going, yeah, but at least you can cast Protect on front row characters and heal lots. Get the Healing Staff for free unlimited castings of Cura. Hopefully your Fire job will be better, otherwise Byblos is going to be a headache for you.

Almost that time again. Whatchu got for AOTS Spring 2020???
-
Rulk, how far into Ace of Diamond are you???
-
That twist at the end of this week's episode of Tower of God

I started a second run, gonna make it a solo run for a bit of a challenge. First job is Thief. Not the easiest start, but workable.
-
And we're done Pretty much a flawless final boss battle. Too easy. My party was in the level 29-32 range because I wasn't running from all the random encounters in the final dungeons. Could have won at lower levels, though too low and I wouldn't have had enough HP to survive Alamagest even with Mighty Guard up.
-
I guess if you're trying to speed run it or do a solo challenge then it helps to have more intimate knowledge of the game, but otherwise you don't really need that much knowledge of the game! Only a couple more dungeons to take care of so I can get Holy for my White Mage and then I'll be ready to hit the Void. I got hung up for a bit this afternoon trying to find a Stingray to learn Mighty Guard from (super rare encounter) but I got it eventually! NeoExdeath will be easy for this team.

@Eizan @Rulkster Did either of you sign up for the Fiesta this summer? I'm close to halfway through my run, just about to go up the Barrier Tower. Very easy run with the jobs I rolled.
-
I got started on my FFV Four Job Fiesta run yesterday at work. Liberal use of fast forward and good luck with my jobs = I'm about a third of the way done already. First job I rolled was Blue Mage - one of the best jobs in the game and a personal fav - then as expected Berserker was my Water Crystal job. Summoner and White Mage round out my party. This is going to be a cakewalk.
-
I also found that episode interesting, but I'm a bit annoyed that they're introducing these new mysteries 11 episodes in I guess this show is going to keep running through the summer season or end with a cliffhanger and come back later. I'll have to keep watching it because they've hooked me now, but I hope it doesn't stretch on for too long.
