And we're done Pretty much a flawless final boss battle. Too easy. My party was in the level 29-32 range because I wasn't running from all the random encounters in the final dungeons. Could have won at lower levels, though too low and I wouldn't have had enough HP to survive Alamagest even with Mighty Guard up.

I guess if you're trying to speed run it or do a solo challenge then it helps to have more intimate knowledge of the game, but otherwise you don't really need that much knowledge of the game! Only a couple more dungeons to take care of so I can get Holy for my White Mage and then I'll be ready to hit the Void. I got hung up for a bit this afternoon trying to find a Stingray to learn Mighty Guard from (super rare encounter) but I got it eventually! NeoExdeath will be easy for this team.

@Eizan @Rulkster Did either of you sign up for the Fiesta this summer? I'm close to halfway through my run, just about to go up the Barrier Tower. Very easy run with the jobs I rolled.

I got started on my FFV Four Job Fiesta run yesterday at work. Liberal use of fast forward and good luck with my jobs = I'm about a third of the way done already. First job I rolled was Blue Mage - one of the best jobs in the game and a personal fav - then as expected Berserker was my Water Crystal job. Summoner and White Mage round out my party. This is going to be a cakewalk.

I also found that episode interesting, but I'm a bit annoyed that they're introducing these new mysteries 11 episodes in I guess this show is going to keep running through the summer season or end with a cliffhanger and come back later. I'll have to keep watching it because they've hooked me now, but I hope it doesn't stretch on for too long.

I haven't watched any of the videos or read much of the coverage, but my instant reactions are: - it is very ugly - it's probably gonna be obscenely expensive, especially here in Canada

Probably just going to use SNES9x or bsnes (higan now..?) standalone as I don't really have need for an emulation suite like RetroArch or OpenEmu. I'm just playing one SNES game

Didn't pick up my Switch all week. Anime and music still taking priority. But I think I'll try to bang out another chapter or two in Cosmic Star Heroine this afternoon, I did manage to at least get myself out of the place I was stuck in last weekend ALSO gotta dust off my SNES emulator because the FF5 Four Job Fiesta starts in 10 days

A couple weeks ago I started watching Wave, Listen to Me! I'm enjoying it a lot so far. It can be pretty random, there's some comedy, some drama, some just absolute wackiness. Love the visual style. My dark horse candidate for anime of the season.

Got back into Cosmic Star Heroine last night... until I got stuck Gonna figure that out tonight. I also picked up Horizon Chase Turbo on the eShop yesterday, I think I'll have some fun with that.

Yeah, I think the players' motivation is some combination of wanting to win the Cup, they want to play because they love to play the game, or they just have been hockey players so long they don't know what else to do with themselves. Maybe the special playoff format will be fun for them too. But I think most NHL contracts are guaranteed, aren't they? I would have expected quite a few players to be content just riding it out and not playing, but maybe I'm wrong. Guys who are coming up on free agency are probably conflicted; on one hand you want to prove your worth and earn a good contract, but on the other hand you don't want to risk injury/illness and mess up your free agency.

I'm surprised that anybody is on board to be honest. With no fans (I'm assuming the games will be played in empty arenas?), no ticket sales, merch sales, etc then they're not going to make money on this. I'm also skeptical that TV ratings will be good. But who knows. I'll watch a bit if they do go through with it, and I'm sure that most teams can afford to take a hit financially this season, so if they're doing it for the love of the game then that's cool.

Gotta get back into Cosmic Star Heroine, I should be able to finish it this week... but anime and music have been taking up all of my free time in the evenings recently I really should play some more tonight though. If I put down a game for a few days and lose momentum then I usually never finish it

I haven't watched the latest episode yet. Maybe tonight. I still can't decide if I like this show or not, but I keep watching anyway. It's one of those.

For a week or so now, I've been watching one or two episodes of City Hunter every night before bed. I've got nothing decent left to read before bed and the library is still closed (until the end of June!). It's an 80's anime, just absolutely screams 80's, and it's a good mixture of dumb and fun and occasionally quite touching. So far (20-ish episodes in) it is mostly episodic, easy to follow along without having to remember much. All of it is on Crunchyroll, well over 100 episodes and a few movies, so City Hunter will be my bedtime story for the foreseeable future I also still need to pick an anime to watch with my kiddo now that we've finished Flying Witch. I wasn't sure if she would find the slice of life style boring, because all of the other cartoons she watches are nothing like that, but she never seemed to lose interest.

I'm about half way through Cosmic Star Heroine now. It's not a super long game, which is fine by me. Really enjoying it so far. I might have a go at the super hard difficulty after. Makes me wish I could play Cthulu Saves the World on Switch too. I think I deleted my Steam account and I don't think it's available anywhere else...

Cosmic Star Heroine is on sale on the eShop for $1.89 so I grabbed it and just started on it. Only like 45 minutes in, but I so far so good. I've been wanting to play this game a long time. Originally I would have played it on Vita, but the Vita release took forever... and then last year I sold my Vita. I didn't realize it was ported to Switch shortly after the Vita release At least I get to play it now!
