It's going to be interesting, about a year from now, seeing all the reactions to the ending from the anime-only people. I'm sure they will have similar complaints.

The Blue Jay lineup finally broke out last night. 15-1 win 15 runs with zero homeruns is a bit odd in today's HR-crazy game, but I'll take runs however they can get them! The team drew 9 walks altogether, so they're showing a bit more patience at the plate. So many strikeouts in the previous games. I know almost everybody strikes out more these days, but they need to get that under control a bit more. Matz was good again last night. 6 IP, 4 K, only 1 run allowed despite giving up 3 BB and 5 hits. The one run was a solo HR.

The CGSO is a somewhat rare things these days! Even just a regular old CG is not super common. The way pitchers are managed in the game has changed so much. The Jays hit a bit of a rough patch after taking 2-of-3 in New York and then beating Texas in their home opener. Their lineup ought to be able to score more runs. I'm hoping it's just a slow start... but every game counts when you're trying to get enough wins to get into the postseason.

I'm not, like, dissatisfied with the ending, but I can nitpick a bit... at least after I've had a bit more time to think about it all first No matter how it ended, a segment of the fanbase was going to be unhappy. That's just how it goes. I don't count myself among the unhappy.

I'm still digesting it... might need to re-read the last few chapters and think on it a bit more...

Fridays will be known as Mecha Day for the Spring season I'm still enjoying Back Arrow quite a bit. It's not great, but I thinks it's a fun mix of some good characters and an interesting idea for mecha (Briheights). It gets a bit goofy at times. It's just a fun time. It doesn't have a great score on MAL, so I guess many people are not very high on it, but that's not going to take away from my enjoyment. SSSS.Dynazenon is good so far too. It's no AOTS candidate, but it's solid.

Yeah, I wasn't sure how to describe it, but I figured their was a better way to describe it than "anime". "Animated comic" is a much better term. Almost feels like watching a visual novel. Like, it's not necessarily bad, but it's not what I was expecting. I don't mind the parts where it's mostly still and maybe just one small aspect is animated, but I find the parts where the whole picture shakes are a bit jarring and hard to watch. I know it's done for effect and all that, but my eyes/brain don't like it.

Chapter 139 of Attack on Titan is live on Crunchyroll now! I am going to read it now... I can't even guess how it's going to end. Very curious.

I checked in on that last night and thought it was pretty amusing. I was kinda thinking of just watching it all in one shot if I really liked it, since it's only 5 parts that are less than 20 minutes each, but I will probably also space it out a bit too. While it was amusing, one episode at a time feels like enough. I'm not in love with the animation style.

I don't really plan to use much summon materia so I'm good without Yuffie. I thought about recruiting her anyway just for the free Throw materia, but IIRC Throw is not as overpowered in FF7 as it is in some other classic FF games. Probably just a waste of time. And now that you mention it, yes I guess I just have to beat Lost Number and then move along without Vincent. That'll do.

I gotta get back on FF7... haven't played since last week. I'm at Nibelheim, so I don't think I'm too far away from the end of disc 1. I wasn't planning on doing many of the sidequests, or recruiting Yuffie or Vincent, but I think I need to do the Shinra Mansion sidequest to get Red's final limit break. Maybe I'll have a go at it tonight.

Super Cub #1 -- I'm an absolute sucker for this kind of story. The poor girl basically has nothing, lives by herself, no parents, no friends, etc. But she bought a Super Cub, one of the coolest motorbikes ever; so, slowly but surely, everything is going to turn around for her starting right now "I wonder how far my Cub will take me." I can't wait to find out! (The first episode moved at a very slow pace, I'm not sure how many other people would be into it... but I will like this show no matter what)

It's mostly trash, but it's also speaking to me a little bit. I agree that super-realistic games suck. Games should be fun! "Real life sucks", "Today sucks" -- tell me about it, buddy. The way Hiro gets tricked into buying that shitty game and then totally botches the start of it is pretty damn funny I'll give it another week or two to see where it goes.

Full Dive: The Ultimate Next-Gen Full Dive RPG Is Even Shittier than Real Life! What a title I'm gonna check this out later today because I find the title and synopsis pretty amusing. It might be total trash, or it might be hilarious. We will soon find out!

I'd like to play Persona 5 Strikers eventually... but I need to wait for a good sale price. But what I really want is for the Persona rhythm games to get ported to Switch I had a blast with P4: Dancing All Night on the Vita, but I sold my Vita gear before I got a chance to play the P3: Dancing in Moonlight and P5: Dancing in Starlight. At this rate though, it seems like that will never happen. Someday I'll have to snag a cheap PS4 to play these games.

It seems like the pace is going to start picking up now. We'll see if vaccine shipments keep coming regularly, as that seems to be the big question mark still. The EU can withhold vaccine shipments to other countries if they deem it necessary to do so, but apparently Canada has been assured that we will still get our vaccines. I choose to remain hopeful! Because the situation here is getting ugly again. I think another stay-at-home order will soon be announced. Looking back, the first wave from last Spring seems so small compared to what we have been dealing with more recently. And we really seemed to get the situation under control by the summer (August)... that didn't last for long!

Watched the first episode of Odd Taxi. The title is fitting It's a mystery. I thought maybe it would be more funny, but it isn't really laugh-out-loud funny. Quirky is maybe a better descriptor. The first episode got me curious enough to watch another.

Production of the second season was apparently announced in 2018, and then all we got was six episodes in 2021... so I can't help but wonder, if they do announce another season, how long it will take to do and how many episodes it will be. If/when we do get more episodes, I will have forgotten everything all over again
