Is there an official source for the manga online, on any of the subscription services..? Or did you read fan translations? Despite the bad ending to the anime, I’m still a bit curious to read the manga…

The last episode of Shadows House was pretty bad.

Yeah you’re dumb Mariners really ruined Canada Day The Jays bounced back quick though and have won two in a row against the Rays. Nothing is more satisfying than beating those damn Rays.

I was pretty bummed for Switzerland yesterday Tough way to go out. Italy vs. Spain should be an exciting match. I kind of expecting the winner of that match will go on to win the tournament, but you never know what will happen.

Started watching FLCL again tonight. It still holds up. For me, this is basically the pinnacle of anime. I can’t remember how many times I’ve watched it now, but it’s been a few years since my last rewatch. I also haven’t listened to the pillows much in a while either. Everything about it is just killing me right now It don’t get better than this. I am still hesitant to watch FLCL Progressive or Alternative, but perhaps I will take the plunge into those after I finish the O.G. FLCL

I didn’t get to watch much of those matches, but I wish I would have seen Croatia vs. Spain. It is going to be dead at work tomorrow so I’m going to play the games in the background in my laptop, hopefully nobody cares or notices

I dunno about Diablo 4, but I’m probably gonna buy Diablo 2 Resurrected when it releases this fall!

At first I was like because I thought it would be a double length special episode… Then I was kinda bummed because it was obvious that part of it would be a recap… But then I came to terms with the recap and appreciated it because my brain is like Swiss cheese and I can’t remember fuck all, so the recap was actually pretty helpful… also I loved seeing Ai doing the, “Now I’m really mad!!!” thing again twice Okay, things are going good, now we’re getting to the really good part… Then the second half / special episode part… kinda stunk Truly a non-ending, use your imagination to fill in the blanks sort of thing… But… Ai’s back!!! That last visual smoothed it over for me. I’m confused, but Ai’s back and that’s pretty much all I needed to know I guess It’s a shame how WEP ended (two times now ) but it’s still a thing of beauty to me and I enjoyed it, warts and all.

Updated bracket. I wish the match dates were flipped. I think Belgium vs. Italy and Switzerland vs. Spain could both be exciting, and they're both on Friday when I'll be at the office Ukraine vs. England and Czech Republic vs. Denmark on Saturday just don't seem as tempting to watch...

I don’t know if they’re a favourite, but I think Denmark has a pretty solid team.

Germany went down 2-0 to England today. That was a bit of a surprise to see. Also it looks like Sweden is about to lose to Ukraine. Down 2-1 with very little time left on the clock. Quite a few teams that I assumed would be strong have made early exits in this round.

Anime of the Season, Spring 2021 There were some really great anime to choose from this spring. Whatchu got for AOTS Spring 2021??

Didn't even know there was a game last night

Vivy was AOTS for me. It started so strong, and just continued to be really good all the way through. I watched the summary episode last night and that was a great reminder of how great it was. Very close runners-up: SSSS.Dynazenon and Odd Taxi. Dynazenon had a great vibe and atmosphere, and I thought it got better and better every week. Great cast of characters. I loved the ending and all the mecha goodness. Odd Taxi was quirky and at times a bit slow, but in just the right way. Probably not for everyone, but I thought it was very good. It also had a great ending--it all came together so nicely in the final episodes. While Super Cub was not quite in AOTS territory for me, I will say that I did look forward to it every week. It was definitely worth watching.

I think the first part of Mobile Suit Gundam: Hathaway is coming to Netflix soon I'm definitely watching that this weekend if it releases by then!

With Odd Taxi and Fruits Basket wrapped up, my queues are almost empty now. Just one more episode of Shadows House and the Digimon. Feels good to have basically a clean slate. This was a really solid season

What a brilliant ending to Odd Taxi. I really really enjoyed pretty much everything about this show. Definitely something I’m going to come back to again in the future

Of interest for me on Crunchyroll are Fena, Aquatope, and Dragon Maid — air times are all TBD. Funi has Sonny Boy beginning July 15. Not sure yet if I will try anything else out.

I’m really hoping they come across Rei if they eventually make it up into space. Seems like a perfect setup to me. Sakamoto Days is on my to-try list. Haven’t gotten around to it yet, but I probably will this summer. Once the spring anime season wraps up, I’ll have some more free time for other stuff. I’m probably not going to follow as many new shows this summer.
