I was pretty hyped about it for a while there, but a couple years ago I just never got around to watching the new episodes and i guess I never felt like I was missing anything Started feeling like the show was going to go in too long for my looking.

The only TV shows I used to bother with were Homeland and The Walking Dead. I think I'm 2-3 years behind on both. Probably won't ever bother picking them up again. I'm also not a big movie person... so I guess I'm all caught up! But I'm sure there's a pretty long list of anime I still want to see eventually.

How many episodes of something do you have to watch in a row (and for how many days in a row?) in order to consider it binge watching?

C64/DOS games at my cousin's house, and then Mario Bros./Duck Hunt on another relative's NES. Died right away but I was hooked My folks bought me an NES shortly after that first experience with Mario.

Recently: The answer might be the Project Diva games. I've gotten so much entertainment value out of these games. All-time: Probably Mario Bros. Honorable mention to Final Fantasy.

My nephew was reading manga on his phone at a recent family gathering so I ask, what are you reading? Cause I'm the almost-hip uncle who kinda gets the stuff he's into. He says: Berserk. I'm like don't tell your parents about this one I meant to start reading this way back, I think after the first season of the new anime wrapped. Never got around to it though. How many pages is each chapter on average? Edit: looks like my local library has up to volume 39 available. Guess I'll start borrowing some.

I thought very briefly about taking a flier on a cheap copy of FF XII The Zodiac Age the other day but decided to just keep my money. I haven't played anything past X and X-2 so I'm curious... but from what I've read I don't think I'll like XII.

Traded in a bunch of Switch games yesterday that me and the kid are done with. There is 50% extra credit on Switch game trade-ins this weekend, so lucky me. Put $50 toward an eShop card to get Chocobo's Mystery Dungeon EVERY BUDDY, which is fun so far. I'm only a couple dungeons into it. Got well over $100 left in store credit so I'm going to try to get as much out of it as I can on price dropped and used games.

I feel like there's a difference between being a freak athlete, like a LeBron or something, and whatever the heck Tsukasa is. Also new girl carrying that jug with 50 L of water (did I read that correctly?), Taiju picking up really big and heavy rocks, etc. all feel like too much of a reach. I'm open to any explanation the show might offer though... did petrofication turn people into mutants?

I appreciated Senku's realization that everybody is super powerful for no good reason in this world. I don't expect anime to be realistic necessarily, but it has bothered me that Taiju, Tsukasa, and new girl seem to have superhuman strength without an explanation. They're all just normal humans as far as we know, right?

Finished The Origin yesterday. Note I really want to rewatch Gundam. Maybe I'll do the compilation movies...

Save save save Still getting my shit kicked all over in various Street Fighter games. I don't know why I thought this was a good idea I grabbed Doom ('93) on the eShop the other day and I'm working my way through the 1st episode right now. I hardly remember any of the secrets it's been so long. Almost feels like I'm playing the game for the first time again. I feel like buying a new game, but I'm not sure what I want to play. I probably just like wasting money. Maybe I'll check out Mario Tennis during the free play window...

He's finally heating up at the plate and it's so good to see. Defense is still a big question mark at 3B though. A missed catch for put out at 3B cost the team a couple runs last night... Even if he improves defensively, I doubt he sticks at 3B for too many years because he's such a big dude. But it would be nice if he could do the job for a little while before becoming a 1B/DH. They shouldn't be DHing him at all this year. Gotta see what he can do.
