It's my own fault for not completely avoiding social media, but it still sucks. I even tried to cover up most of my Instagram feed to not get spoiled, and the one area my hand wasn't covering had a spoiler for the main event. And yeah, Christian getting a title shot and failing at winning is fine, the Luchasaurus fakeout was just fucking dumb

I had both of those spoiled for me so I didn't enjoy them as much as I could've. Both were great though, and I can tell if I hadn't had them spoiled I would've loved the hell out of 'em. The only match result I hated was the Casino Gauntlet, they need to fucking pull that face turn for Luchasaurus already.

Re-watched Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse in glorious 4K. That movie is fantastic.

Rite Here Rite Now (2024) Basically a concert film for the band Ghost on their most recent tour. It was shot over two shows in LA (that i'm really bummed I didn't get to go to after watching this) with a bit of extra band lore thrown in.

Found out earlier that the job might be a scam. A friend of mine linked me to a reddit post where a bunch of other people had similar stories to mine. Same company, same name on the e-mail, they got contacted by a secondary company of the same name (different business name from the first company, I mean the two companies I got contacted by were the same two they got contacted by) from the same e-mail address. The whole thing has been a bit odd, as I never spoke to an actual person outside of e-mails. No phone interview, no video interview, nothing. I think the idea that I may have an actual job lined up after looking for over a year had me blinded to the possibility of it not being true.

After looking for a job for over a year, I finally got two job offers. One pays more than the other (8 bucks more an hour), so obviously i'm taking the higher paying job. But man, I really was not expecting that last interview to go well enough to actually land me a job. It'll be remote data entry at a medical company. I've never done data entry, but I imagine it can't be that hard?

Alright, more spoiler-y thoughts.

Deadpool & Wolverine I fucking loved it. Deadpool 1 > 3 > 2. Will probably post more spoiler-y stuff in the morning when I'm at my keyboard Side note: I've loved about 95% of what the MCU has produced, so take my thoughts with a grain of salt

To Wong Foo: Thanks For Everything - Julie Newmar (1994) I liked this a lot more than I thought I would. It's a bit too idealistic, but it was a wonderful story, to be sure.

A pretty good Direct all around, i'd say. New Zelda out of nowhere, new Mario & Luigi game out of nowhere, a Marvel vs Capcom fighting collection, and Metroid Prime 4 finally shown off somewhat. MP4 was a surprise as they had said going in they'd be focusing on stuff only coming out this year, so I definitely wasn't expecting it.

Here's the indie game focused Direct from today Cuphead coming to Switch is pretty great, and that Crypt of the Necrodancer Zelda game will be getting my money, for sure.

I Saw The TV Glow (2024) Really interesting movie although to be honest I didn't get everything the film was laying out, even if I got the big picture. Lots of trans people on social media have been hyping it up and it only recently came out on VOD, so I finally got around to giving it a look. While the style of the movie isn't at all like this, I equate this movie with Get Out, in that there's a bunch of symbolism and hints at things that I didn't notice until I went out and read the discourse about the movie itself. The Beekeeper (2024) Another Jason Statham movie where he's a got a "regular" job until something bad happens, and then he has to avenge what happened, all by himself. I found it hard to suspend my disbelief, especially in the last few action sequences.
