Did the usual thing for the most part. Christmas Eve dad's side of the family met at my parents' house and did gifts and shit. This year we got up at like 7am and did presents with Luna. Then we went to my grandparents' and finally my parents' for the last bit (wasn't really time with Luna actually being old enough to give a shit to go to my parents' and THEN grandparents'). Go watch the anime. This got cancelled and you're gonna want the whole story. Seriously, the anime is excellent. There's a reason this got made into a live action in the first place.

Loved the show. Spoiler tagged the topic so watch ya ass. Kingpin reveal was orgasmic. His fight where he's a fucking TANK was phenomenal. I'm actually really happy to see them delve into what a powerhouse he is physically in addition to the genius. Makes him even more fucking terrifying. Love the new look with the cane too, I want to see him fire a laser. Definitely not dead of course. Cutaway was REALLY obvious there. Strange choice in general but everyone knows at this point in comics, no body = no death, even the normiest of normies so it's fine lol. I loved everything about the show. Their relationship building, getting somewhere satisfying near the end. The little bits of pizza dog. Bringing him and Kate over for Christmas. Loved the normal supportive relationship that Clint has with his wife like @Mera'din said. We didn't have to deal with CW relationshit drama. I've been really enjoying that in all these non-CW shows man. Fuck I was so tired of it before. I LOVE that the watch points to his wife being Mockingbird. Really curious if that is the final nail in the coffin for Agents of Shield or if she just passed down the mantle or something. Just a really fucking fun show all around though. Definitely heavily inspired by the comic (READ IT @Mera'din) but not an exact copy (Clint and Kate sort of switch places a bit) and the story is different enough to make things interesting. Just loved it. I REALLY hope there is going to be a season 2.

I think people lean too hard into the Peter is a loser thing. He's a little awkward and that's why he makes jokes but becoming Spider-Man gives him a lot more self confidence in the end. I've definitely softened to Garfield's interpretation over the last little bit. I feel bad he got screwed by that terrible 2nd movie. Nothing to do with him, just bad writing.

I think Sony and Disney are making a deal to eventually bring them to Disney+ so keep an eye peeled. I thought that for a bit but after a rewatch, I think he actually did do a decent Peter. It was just updated. All 3 of them definitely have different takes and that keeps things interesting. He's still smart, a little awkward at times, and I can see the fit. Plus he's just such a good actor lol. I LOVE his physicality in the suit though for sure. Was always one of my favorite parts. And he's actually funny whereas Toby was just kind of awkwardly shouting the jokes, Garfield actually made me laugh.

I have doubts that's actually real. It would be fun to see Garfield have another go of it though....maybe let him tango with the villain verse they're building? Or antihero verse? Whatever the fuck it is. It was clear from the movie from his own mouth that he had really let shit get dark so I could see that fitting a bit and maybe it takes place AFTER this movie when he is starting to crawl back out of the dark place? I feel bad because yes, Sony can't do it for shit, but I REALLY like Garfield as Spidey/Peter. He brought a lot to that role and gets unfairly shit on because of bad writing. You should watch them just to do it. The 2nd has a crap story for the most part but it's just....fun to watch Peter and Gwen honestly. Would give you a little extra something to go with that shit in this movie too.

There's a topic on the Center but I want to talk here too. I just binged through the entire thing and finished season 3 last night. This show is fantastic. It's kind of hard to explain what this show is but picture a little BSG mixed with Star Trek and a little Mass Effect too. It's just fucking interesting sci-fi and I'm particularly impressed by how logical the explanations are for things in universe (even the fact that there's no instant communication across very large distances and people end up leaving each other messages all the time). The end of season 3 goes... I thought the first few episodes of the show started a bit slow but once the show really gets fucking interesting. This is some really good sci-fi. Now I know why everyone was cheering when Amazon picked this show up. I would have been so fucking pissed that the show ended where it did. Also trailer for the new season (December 13th):

Hey, you shut your whore mouth! I still think Spider-Man 2 is legitimately fucking fantastic. Buuut....yeah I know what you mean about all the pouting and emotions. They captured the feel of those comics a little too well sometimes.

Yeah it has been impossible. I gave up months ago. I'm just along for the ride I guess. I am hyped to the max and hoping they don't let me down. Started watching all the old Spidey movies in anticipation of this. It's been fun. I watched ASM2 and started Spider-Man 3....they're still crap. Though I think Spider-Man 3 is still better than ASM2. Sucks because ASM had such potential and they just blew their load everywhere.

I'm fucking digging this so far. Also clearly David Aja's designs all over the DNA of this show too. Hoping they give him so more money since so far it seems like he got jack shit. The story though, I like that they're mixing it up a bit so it's not exactly the same so the characters fit a little more into the MCU. In the comic Hawkeye was kind of a fuckup and Kate was the one holding shit together but they sort of flip flopped this since MCU Hawkeye is an actual legit adult who knows what he is doing. Also ep 3 spoiler: Love they named Pizza Dog finally lol. I like that they didn't just drop the character. I really loved this newest episode somewhat adapting that silent issue of the comic. This series is definitely a huge love letter to the comic. Not exactly the same but pretty much as close as you could get. Also I am really liking Echo so far. I haven't actually read the comics with her but I like.

Same. Interest in this was fairly meh but I ended up going anyway as I saw more about it and the movie was really fun. Well done movie truly.

Oh man keep this shit rolling in. I just really want them to fire Kotick but the company is so shitty I really don't think anything would ever REALLY change.
