    Work History

UPS Was a loader. In other words I loaded the trailers. I know exactly why everyone's shit is broken half the time. I was pretty reasonable with stuff but a lot of people were total assholes with packages. Was good at it and it kept me in shape. I liked the job for the most part (working in a trailer in the middle of the day during summer DID suck though). I left here because I got a job at my current company for 2 bucks an hour more. Bank/Payment Company So I've done several jobs here and I'll just go through them real quick... First level help desk: Supported payment machines. It got to be so easy it was fucking boring very quickly. About a year in I applied for 2nd level and didn't get it. Told myself if I didn't get the next 2nd level spot to come open I'd find another job. Thank fuck I got it. Second Level help desk: Supported the level 1 HD and their lazy dumbness. At first ALL I did was take calls from them but over time I started getting projects, doing our internal website, then our group sharepoint, etc. Was a really fun job and I loved it and was really good at it. Near the end they pissed me off when they changed how they graded my calls and the spot I applied for offered me a 10% raise so I peaced out. Glad I did because things got kind of shitty not soon thereafter (especially since everyone left). Also they let @Downshift take that job so you know. Knowledge: Helped write and maintain all the howtos for troubleshooting for the helpdesk. Also managed their internal sites (a bigger version of what I did in 2nd level). It was fun at first but eventually it became incredibly fucking boring. Manager was very resistant to change and I usually had to just make shit and show it to him done before he'd let me do or change anything (which he was receptive to vs others so I guess there was that). Job wasn't horrible but it was definitely boring and then a spot came open in IT... IT/Desktop: Loved this job. I guess I have liked most of my jobs really but IT was the big time for me and it was pretty great. I got a lot more experience troubleshooting computer shit, learning how things work in our environment, and I even got to learn all the new shit when we switched over to it (as our parent company took over) before I got the job I have now. I definitely liked this job but management is what killed it. My boss ended up being shuffled to just being a team lead or something in Tampa and then the new boss we got was annoying as fuck. THEN they started doing lay offs in IT (while hiring in another country...not India surprisingly). So I had to gtfo and my old boss alerted me to this job that I have now. Technical Implementations: It's complicated to describe but basically I help people integrate their applications with our payment systems (there are many different APIs for doing so). I answer their questions, help them when they have issues, and then we run through checks to make sure their application works properly before we certify it to work in production. What I love the most about this job is the incredible amount of flexibility. I can basically set my own schedule and I am given some pretty wide latitude to work from home (even more than others...mostly because my house is really far from our new office and I have constantly expressed my desire to work from home as much as possible ). The job has a lot of varied things going on and it is actually challenging to learn all this crazy shit we deal with. Before IT, I'd really only seen a small portion of what our company did for payments stuff and this job opened up this huge world where I'm learning a ton of shit (and web based stuff that I know I can share with the team since you know...I do that kinda of shit on the side OBVIOUSLY).

    [Gaming Chat]

Yeah they're responsible for a lot of Sony's biggest hits so I wouldn't be surprised to hear most people thought that. I found out there were NOT a Sony studio when they put out Sunset Overdrive.

    Movie/TV Show Backlog

The show is so fucking up and down I'm not sure it is even worth it. The last season I watched was after a big character was introduced and the entire season was just fucking boring. Like they built this thing up so much and NOTHING FUCKING HAPPENED. That season basically could have just not happened. I think that was Season 7? I dunno. Show was all over the place. Maybe it would be better marathoning it and not having to wait fucking years for shit to happen.

Now please make another Resistance game. This is good though. They really only ever made Sony games anyway.

    Favorite Video Game Series

They only made 1 more game after that and it was actually good. Megaman X7 is one of the worst games I've ever played and actually the first and probably only time I RETURNED a game. Bought at Gamestop, went home, played for a bit, holy fuck what is this it's awful, took it back and got MMX8 instead. MMX8 was fucking great. Also the Zero and ZX games were fantastic. See above.

    Your Intro To Video Games?

NES. We had Mario/Duck Hunt/Track and Field. That shit was awesome. I definitely played a lot of Mario but I think the first one I really dumped time into was the original Zelda. I remember sitting around for hours playing that. I didn't have the map that came with it for some reason and had to just figure shit out. I remember literally burning every bush I could find to discover secret places. For PC gaming the one that really got me was Doom 2. Holy shit that game. I'll never forget it lol.

    Favorite Video Game Series

Metal Gear Solid, MegaMan X, or Mario I think. I'd say MMX is pretty easily my favorite and sadly 2 of my top series are basically dead now. I was beyond excited when they released the MMX collection for Switch. I REALLY hope they resurrect the series again. I'd much rather get a new one in the X line than another stupid retro classic cash in one personally. That annoyed me to no end since, in my opinion, X was an improvement in every way over classic. Please Capcom.... You've been doing so well lately. Give me MMX9.

[08/15/19] Weekly What Have You Been Playing?

This kind of thing interests me for that reason: https://www.analogue.co/super-nt/ Would be nice to have something that's not 30 years old to play on. On the other hand I'm probably never getting one because I'll never notice the difference between real and emulated anyway.

    Last TV Show You Binged

I generally binge all the shows I watch. I hate watching week to week. Only things I do that with are the Arrowverse shows because Jovanna makes me lol. Before the Expanse was the new season of Veronica Mars. Was good stuff. Hope they keep it going.

    Movie/TV Show Backlog

Oh Jesus. I'll have to just pick what I'm immediately looking to watch for TV. Currently watching The Expanse. Been on the backlog a while actually so I'm glad I finally started. After that The Boys and Good Omens on Amazon. Want to watch Band of Brothers, finish Preacher, watch Legion, American Crime Story, Man in the High Castle, and Altered Carbon. There are like a million more too lol. Movies I'll have to come back to. I kind of just watch those spur of the moment and don't really have a list per se (other than what I've downloaded).

    What's Currently In Your Pockets?

These are all going to be boring. We should go from "what was the last thing you had in your pockets that wasn't wallet, keys, or phone" and go from there. Me, a tire gauge and a flashlight. Was filling the air in my tires at my friend's house (he has a tire inflator) but we were in the dark. He said I could have the tire gauge and I accidentally left the flashlight in my pocket (gave it back to him today).
