I can't even remember a time where I caught a way higher level than me Pokemon. I've always kind of liked grinding but also doing all the trainer battles has always pretty much ensured you'd be leveled high enough most of the time. Still seems like a stupid decision though. If you want to do it, why not? I don't even get what reasoning there'd be for that. It just seems dumb.

Maybe Ultra Sword will actually have the entire Pokedex. What bothers me the most is that they said they had to cut it because of all the animations and stuff but the animations still look exactly the same with the useless shitty what I'd basically call shaking effects. Why did they have to cut them?

I played after a few patches. Main build was a mage casting one. I guess it was a little more active but man it was fun. Once you got the ring that let you create 2 mages per cast, shit got real. They already said there were going to be 5 classes so that ain't gonna happen. Though maybe over the life of the expansions. I actually thought the Necro in D3 was one of the best parts of D3. I had more fun with that class than any of the others up to that point.

Yeah it used to be you had to be the same subclass as your team mates, now they make it the same as the burn. Ugh.

There are definitely a lot of people that think D2 is perfect and never needs changing. I put a number of hours into that game as well and I thought some aspects of D3 were better and some aspects of D2 were better. Honestly, I ended up having more fun with builds and loot after many many patches to D3 than I had with D2 in a certain sense (more drops, easier to switch builds etc). D2 has a great atmosphere though and a much deeper system for stats and such. What I don't want though is an overcomplicated mess just for the sake of saying it's complicated and "deep" like say...PoE. I tried that game out briefly and hated it.

I want something new though, not to just play D2 for 20 years but I also want it to actually feel like a Diablo game and this is a massive step in the right direction so far imo.
