Given how much money and rep they have given Sony and well they have been treated by them in comparison to other big publishers I think this will be good for them. Sony is in a super stable position right now, despite their resistance to some modern gaming trends.

The first sign it was gonna be a shitshow was when the E3 announcement was for a kickstarter.

The kickstarter was obviously not enough money based on the history of the game series and current estimated budgets of development. The skipping of a stretch goal is a symptom of this. That and the dev has been sketchy as fuck on details. Dude is a flake and terrible with money, all the signs were there long before the epic store deal rolled out. (repeated delays and weak excuses for them to hide the fact the game is likely incomplete and buggy af)

As someone who got a taste of vanilla (had to go through it to get to TBC, where I started) I knew it was gonna be like this. At the time it was all well and fine, but technology marched ever forward making it possible to add all the features wow has now. People these don't even remember what classic was really like anymore, rose tinted goggles blind them to the truth.

Wow Classic Beta testers are reporting bugs that are actually features I knew this was gonna happen. Peeps forgot just how fucking turrible classic actually was to the point that they are reporting the game mechanics as bugs because they are just that awful.

Honestly, I am kinda with web, I don't like that it has come to this. I understand we have to have it at this point, but I would really have rather had the industry keep itself in check instead triple or quadruple dipping into this shit. There are no tools to stop this shit. Never was and never will be. The so called "tools" are the "are you sure you want this purchase" pop-ups. Its bollocks.
