Vaccine is not going to be a huge factor until all the adults get it. Once Jovanna AND I have it, we can definitely alter our behavior. City of Phoenix apparently will be having their own setup and plans going so my wife is kind of keeping an eye on that to see when she might get to go. She's got some risk conditions so we're hoping, you know, earlier.

I've only seen one store with arrows and it was honestly annoying as fuck because it was not a grocery store where you can easily do up/down through every aisle. It was a fucking TJ Maxx and the arrows were an incomprehensible fucking mess (which is what you'd expect at a TJ Maxx tbh).

Feel bad for you both. My job fortunately allows me to just work at home so I've been fortunate. Even here with the Republican governor, we still have mask mandates. Of course I still see plenty of dipshits not wearing them but I live on the side of town with less entitled rich people so it seems to be less prevalent here. On the other hand, we went to the Kneaders over here to eat outside (it's nice, I don't want COVID by sitting around people inside a building, etc) and Jovanna said there were a shitload of people packed in there. Like...why? In "well I guess it could have been worse" news, Jovanna just missed the seniority cutoff and they're making a bunch of the convention center employees move to other city jobs. I'm glad that they aren't just firing them or laying them off but she has no idea where she's going to go (she started applying for vacant jobs) and she also has no idea how long (UP TO 3 YEARS possibly???). So she's been really stressed out about this. It sucks but I am really glad that they ARE going to move her instead of firing her. Kind of a good news bad news kinda thing.

Jovanna gets her test rushed for free by the city. Came back negative. Good to know it's just an annoying cold. Shit is going bananas right now. We're back up to like May numbers nationwide now.

I think we've all got colds but we're going to get COVID tested just in case because Xy/Betty and Rigo/Jenny are here and I just don't want to take chances even if we plan to just meet up outside and shit.

I'm not sure what we're doing. Luna has a costume but I think we aren't going to do much. Probably visit my parents for a bit and maybe walk around some idk. Another holiday ruined by the damn plague.

I saw someone that seemed knowledgeable on Reddit saying the "no antibody" thing is a red herring. Basically your body can spin that shit up quick if the virus hits you again with little to no consequences. I meant to read more about it. The whole herd immunity by everyone going out and getting it thing still seems fucking stupid to me though. You want to get herd immunity by having a fucking vaccine... Not by everyone getting the god damn virus.

Surface spread was shot down a while ago. All that stuff is pointless. Wear a mask and wash your hands. You'll be alright. People are definitely just going completely insane at both sides of the spectrum. Also I lol'd a bit. Jovanna's parents are driving here for Thanksgiving. Going to be one HELL of a drive...I feel bad for them but there's no way we're driving anywhere with an almost 2 year old so it's pretty much that or nothing. We've all been fairly cautious so it should be fine. Seems like an insane idea but they really want to see their grandbaby so I can kind of understand. Our family thanksgiving is probably going to just be us in the house and then maybe my parents and sisters will visit for a bit. Definitely not meeting up with the entire clan. That is a bad idea. They're going to do some kind of outside dinner thing and space out so I guess that might work okay? I don't know. I can't really deal with this shit anymore to be honest. Pump me full of whatever they gave Trump and let's just get this shit over with.

Sorry for you guys that are testing for it. That all sucks. So far nothing major in our extended family (one aunt got it but everyone is okay). We've been like going out and doing some things but are being smart about it, I think. Went to the zoo with Luna and there was no one there and it was nice lol (outside stuff yeahhhhhhh!!). it's been over 6 months of this shit now though. Jovanna may be going back to work soon. I'm worried my kid is losing out on social development honestly which sucks but she'll probably be going back to daycare pretty soon anyway. Things are definitely getting better as far as the numbers going down so at least there's that. I'm hoping we can all just find a reasonable balance...everyone that can work from home just keep doing it, go out and do stuff but wear a mask, and man I don't know what happens for Christmas. I'm sure most of the family would be fine but I'm really worried about trying to get together with Grandma and Grandpa so depressingly there's a good chance it's going to be a fucking Zoom Christmas which is just incredibly depressing to me. I'll probably go to my parents house I guess and have a small gathering there since we've all been fairly smart about avoiding doing dumb things lol.

Best part is all those corporate owned places are probably loving it because they can ride out the wave on credit while all their competition slowly fails and closes. Bars and social shit like that still being open just seems ridiculous though.
