    Ouch, I feel you. Desi has been down for the count for almost a week now. She cam back negative but we're pretty sure it was a false negative given her symptoms and how long they have lasted. She is going back in friday. My own results haven't come back yet.

    Well we are awaiting the results of Desi's test, and I will be going in tomorrow for mine just in case. Both our work buildings have had multiple confirmed cases the past month so it wouldn't be a huge surprise.

    Glad to hear that Web. And yeah, we KNEW it was gonna hit us again when fall and winter swung around. Hell, it will probably be WORSE because morons refuse to accept it's not over and we don't actually have viable treatments or vaccines yet.

    our in house Trick or Treating worked out fine. the kids loved it.

    We are going over to my parents who are setting up rooms for my nieces and nephew to "trick or treat" in their house as my sister doesn't want to go door to door with the kids. I will be dressing as a Plague Doctor.

    Just as things are starting to show signs of a second wave, my state, in its glorious wisdom, has rescinded it's mandatory mask order.

    Her liver failed, they were able to do dialysis, but then her blood pressure tanked and they couldn't get it back up and that was the end.

    thnx, I am still processing and hoping for a change in status. I used to spend a lot of time at her house as a kid. Not just me either, a lot of my cousins did too, as she was the one aunt who wasn't super busy or a crack head.

    got a call today, it's only a matter of time now. we're just bracing for the moment.

    I work at a daycare. It was a caregiver that tested positive. Not entirely her fault though, she got it from a dumbass relative who came to visit her.

    Yup, it does. Especially since she lives in Georgia where as whole the state has given up on trying to prevent the spread. Oh, and I had a confirmed case pop up in my building today. Yaaaaaaaay.... Fucking morons.

    Whelp my aunt tested positive and is now in intensive care hooked up to respirator.

    the only time I take my mask off at work is when there is no one else in the building or if the fucking AC broke again and it's 90 degrees and humid AF in the building (impossible to breath in mask in those conditions)

    They could (i am pretty sure all businesses have a right to refuse service to anyone as long as it doesn't violate any discrimination laws) but without that order you know people gonna sue for discrimination.

    Ever since my state has re-opened more and more people are being quarantined due to positive tests result or exposure to people who tested positive but failed to inform those around them. Its fuck awful and people are acting like it's over and that pisses me off.

    God damn it. The Mayor had laid out a reasonable plan for reopening the county deapite being to early and our dumbfuck gov announced today that his wreckless open everything now plan overrides all other plans in the state. Dude just through weeks of quarantine out the window and sent people to their death.

    The great double edged sword of custodial work. No cares enough about you to bitch at you... Or acknowledge your work. So I don't have to deal with this garbage. These people are actually yelling at people risking their health so you can get groceries are stupid AF.

    I am considered an essential worker so I have been working on a rotating schedule, but them lifting the effects mean not only will my exposure chance be even higher so will hundreds if not thousands of vulnerable people. Also, as a government employee my work status is at the whims of the single most incompetent man in the country. At least I am still paid for the days I'm not working though. Fucking ironic that NOW we're considered essential when late 2018 all government employed custodians were passed over for a pay raise. literally only 1 of 2 jobs at my work that got passed over (other being cooks)

    Welp, my state is gonna be ending it's lockdown. Right smack dab in the middle of the peak of this bullshit. People are gonna die.

    You'd never know there was a pandemic around here if not for the empty store shelves and the gate guards for ft. Campbell wearing face masks. Almost no one is treating it seriously. ESPECIALLY not in Ft. Campbell, the sheer amount of hand waving and lack of communication is terrifying.
