Ye but the commentary were bigging up that there were now three titles and Hiromu gatecrashed that press conference so I thought maybe something could happen? Rewatched the 15 minute hype interview. So hyped. Have I missed something? Wasn't Tama Tonga getting pushed during the whole "Bullet Club is fine" era? It might derail tag aspirations but surely that's an option. Or.... is he also travel barred? I tried to catch up properly but a lot of shows have been taken offline already.

Crowd were super into that, but watching it live with Reddit commentary they were having a meltdown. Everyone was shitting all over EVIL v SANADA then when he came down to challenge they just went full bsod. Will watch that tonight you're right he's such a great heel. I would have never predicted it a few years back.

Takahashi match was... weird. Bone Soldier punched his fucking head off for ever. Then there was just a bunch of weird reversals and Taka's hand injury never came into it at all. Strange.

Day 2 so far: For some reason I wasn't getting the Stardom dark matches, just replays hopefully find them somewhere afterwards Opener was Yano doing Yano things, yanno? Jr Tag match was ok, perfunctory with a meh ending.

Ah I figured that might be the case. Well, I'll go in blind and report back anything worthwhile. It's pretty cheap for a month but it goes by the typical Japan format of 1st to 30/31st so I'll wait til next month to pay.

Not NJPW, however @Vic Boss I am considering getting Stardom for a month to watch the roster vs Kagetsu. Always wanted to get into the promotion. Do you know of any great wrestlers/matches to pay attention to at all?

I hate him. So much!! Spent today catching up as best I could, a lot of the last few events have been taken offline already. I'm now supersad Hiromu v Naito hasn't happened and hyped to see [X] get their ass kicked tonight. Is there much of a schedule going forward?

It is an awful, awful, awful idea. I've not read a single person who thinks it is a good idea and you know how divisive the IWC is. Every take has opposing sides. This is unanimous. The press conference video has like a 1:100 upvote/downvote ratio it is ridiculous.

I don't think it's just that, the whole "split over 2 days" vibe just makes day 1 feel largely pointless anyway. Speaking of pointless - Tanahashi match felt lowkey "Cena wins lol". Meh. Cmon WK, pick up some steam.

I don't know how I feel about the fact Okada v Osperay was the best match overall. I mean, good I guess because Okada is so young he could carry the company another ten years, but kinda sad nobody else REALLY stepped up. Ibushi had two great matches sure, but GOAT matches? Nah.

Yeah IC was always on a level with HW so it makes sense they would main event each day individually. I give it a pass because yknow COVID booking is hard. These last two matches should bang. I'm in full "plz Naito plz" mode now.
