Secret Invasion looking more "spy thriller"y than I would have thought. Might be a fun direction for it. Also, this is a thing. Was NOT expecting this, but I'm intrigued.

Would be nice if they covered it. Even if just in another short. I miss when they used to do those and 'All Hail the King' was a giant tease they've been sitting on for like 6 years now. Would like some payoff finally.

Yeah. I'm worried Sony will get a big head and fuck things up. The deal was for 5 movies total and that will be up after Endgame and FFH. ? They will hopefully just renew the current deal and call it good, but you never know.

That was a decent stretch. July 2018 to March 2019. This will be a couple months longer so not that much worse than we had there.

I personally liked the comment he made to the cops. XD Spoilers are going to get worse now. Directors effectively "lifted" the spoiler ban they asked people to adhere to as of today so news articles full of spoilers are churning out at and even faster rate than before. Seen a few with spoilers in the titles even which is kind of a dick move.

Yeah, I was pleasantly surprised by it and really want to see a sequel. Movie had some pacing and tone issues, but you can tell the people working on it actually gave a shit and wanted it to do well. Changes from the original story were understandable, and as much as Hardy's version of Brock is a bit of a departure from the character (less so with how he is now in the comics I guess), I really liked how he played him regardless of the fact.

@TV show stuff On one hand, I'm glad to see they're using the same guy from Agents of SHIELD, but on the other why the fuck are they not just putting all of this in one place? We had to go through all the Netflix stuff being cancelled so they could start shit on Hulu? I know they own a pretty large chunk of Hulu at this point but come on. Also, Helstrom? Isn't that a Ghost Rider character? Why are they getting their own show when they're also just doing Ghost Rider? XD

Waiting to see more on Eternals and how well Shang Chi will be done (looks great so far). If they can nail those, we'll know Guardians wasn't just luck. Not that I expect there to be anything wrong with them. Those are just nearly as obscure as Guardians had been. The fact that they can dig past their big names and come up with something that propels them into the mainstream has always been my favorite part of these movies. Not overly surprising though. Even Iron Man was a b-list super hero before this whole thing started. At this point, I'd honestly be more impressed if they managed to fuck up Fantastic Four.

I'm not sure if any of the Hulu stuff is necessarily tied to the MCU. At least not in any way more significant than the Netflix stuff was.Which is to say just loose references and name drops. Can probably more or less just ignore anything that isn't on Disney+ since all the "big" MCU stuff will want to used as a draw for that service.

Or, you know, Sony. Since it's their movie and their decision. Marvel just produces for the standalone Spider-man movies (and I think they have merchandising rights). Sony 100% finances, distributes, and rakes in the box office revenue for them.

Saw an article saying that the next phase is going to be similar to Captain Marvel in that it'll be stuff set in the past which is hopefully means they want to establish the FF as an early in thing. Could totally do a "stuck in the Negative zone" style thing with them or something at the end of their movie and then bring them back post Endgame from whatever gets shit reset. Also saw another article talking about how the Russo brothers shot a lot of the stuff in the Endgame trailer specifically FOR the trailer to throw people off of what the story will actually be in the movie because they were tired of people analyzing the living fuck out of every frame of the trailers. XD I also want a Rocket and Goose (Chewie) meetup at some point in one of these movies because their interactions were always great in the comics.

I would place it middle of the road personally. There was a lot to take in. Some of it good, some of it a little meh. They've done much better films over the years, but they've definitely had worse as well. I feel like it was setting up a lot of plot threads we'll see picked up in the future though which may have hurt it a bit in the now. Will have to see if any of it eventually pays off. Action sequences were a lot of fun though. Was nice to see super speed done in a way that wasn't just a straight blurring/lightning thing like they like to do with The Flash.

I'm more interested in Morbius for the actors than anything else, but that looked at least not bad so I'm willing to give it a shot. That end bit was intriguing though.

I'm about half way through it. Have enjoyed it so far. Character development for secondary characters has been really solid too. Makes me wish it would still be around after this. ?

Sounds like they showed a trailer at D23 for the Black Widow movie as well, and revealed a poster for it online. Looks like Task Master will be the villain for it. Not really sold on the mask design, but I'm interested in seeing the character regardless. Also looks like we'll see the Red Guardian (played by David Harbour).
