A lot of people are giving Rollins shit, but I think his frustration is justified. No matter what you think of WWE writing and booking, the majority of that roster busts their asses to try and make chicken salad out of chicken shit. And they really came through at Stomping Grounds. Perhaps Seth saying it's the best wrestling around is hyperbole, but they definitely have one of, if not the most impressive rosters on paper.

You ought to give the Triple Threat Tag a watch. That was MOTN for me.

This would actually be brilliant. Dunno if it would help ratings, but it would keep me watching.

Anyone watching RAW? The show definitely feels different so far. -Started with the Falls Count Anywhere match -Big spot where Strowman and Lashley went through the stage setup and caused a bunch of explosions(a bit silly), but then had a pretty realistic, under-produced camera angle covering the fallout. -Corey Graves saying "Holy Shit" on commentary with no bleep

What's the story with ACH? Has he been tweeting some shit?
-
Ohhhhhh shit! My boy! Even though my mancrush subsided on him a while ago, John Morrison was one of my new favs when I got back into wrestling in 2010. Didn't catch much of his Impact stuff, but I liked what he did as Johnny Mundo in Lucha Underground.

Always was suspicious whenever he said, "The Greatest Team on God's Green."
-
I'm hoping things like this and Sami playing manager to Shinsuke is a sign of things to come.

Just read up on the whole issue as well. It seems like the whole thing is a mess. ACH clearly has a reason to be upset, but the circumstances with him apparently approving it until it came out definitely muddies the situation. It feels like there's more here, like this is the catalyst to other things that have been bothering him. I also think the intentions of WWE definitely make a difference of whether this should have been made public. If either the samboism was intentional or this is the final straw in a string of racial injustices he's experienced, then WWE fully deserves to be put on blast. But if it's an isolated incident that is more a case of WWE corporate not realizing how insensitive it is to represent a black guy with smiling red lips(according to Myles, the initial idea was a sort of parody of the Rolling Stones logo), then maybe it would be better to take this as a moment of education behind closed doors. Of course, that ignores WWE's history of racially insensitive content, so they probably deserve to be called out in general. And I think this definitely hints at more problems he's already been dealing with behind the curtain.

Excuse me. Lio Rush album introducing the All Mighty Bobby Lashley was pure gold, and I'll hear nothing else.
-
Yeah, but we mostly hear it from disgruntled ex-employees. You'd hear a little bit on things like Jericho and Steve Austin's podcast, but usually within some parameter of making him look good, or "he's a genius for a reason" or some shit like that.

That's awesome. It's too bad this wasn't a thing when Air Boom was around. That was actually a solid tag team that really started finding its stride right as Evan Bourne got suspended. I went from thinking it was a lazy tag combination to being pissed that their reign ended so abruptly.

Oof. Yeah, I'm pretty terrified by that. inb4 her new character "loves to have fun."

Sounds like slavery to me

God, I fucking love The Fiend.
-
The Fiend fucking with the production might be my favorite small detail of WWE right now.

I swear that man could have a goose shitting out golden eggs in front of him, and he'd still run from the money.

He had to have burst out laughing as soon as that scene was over.

Leave it to a global crisis to make me tune back into WWE

It's nice to hear this from someone in the know instead of just assuming and becoming an echo chamber of jaded wrestling fans. It makes you feel less crazy for saying things like, "When Vince dies..." Also hilarious because I always imagined Triple H getting frustrated with the way his stars are handled, so it's great to hear that confirmed. I can only imagine how reaction to "The Viking Experience".

I will say that ending makes me consider just skipping out on SmackDown and sticking to RAW, NXT and Dynamite. The rest of the show was pretty good. Loved parts of it. But I have zero interest in the WWE Title scene.

Part of me wonders if WWE has chilled on people smoking weed recently with the rise of legalization. They've been making plenty of jokes about Matt Riddle, and Dawkins has made a very blatant joke on TV before. Maybe they're just capitalizing on previous personalities, or perhaps the talent just knows how to avoid getting caught on tests. But really, I feel like if they're not baked while they wrestle, what's the problem?

Yeah, after the first 30 or so minutes, it started turning into a bit more standard fare, but the first hour went by really quick and the overall production still feels different. Also, no in-ring promos for like the first hour and a half.
