I'm caught up on Neru now. The first chapter didn't hook me right away, but the next ones were solid. I'm enjoying the entrance exam. Another manga reminding me of H×H and the Hunter Exam. I'm getting the itch to re-read H×H now...

Choujin X is cool to look at. I love the style. Some of the characters are fun too. But I’m not super invested in the story overall. I would like to see it animated someday. I feel like Earthchild is a bit of a mess. There’s a lot going on in there and it feels a bit chaotic to me. I’ll stick with it though.

I’m really hoping they come across Rei if they eventually make it up into space. Seems like a perfect setup to me. Sakamoto Days is on my to-try list. Haven’t gotten around to it yet, but I probably will this summer. Once the spring anime season wraps up, I’ll have some more free time for other stuff. I’m probably not going to follow as many new shows this summer.

PPPPPP has been a bit hard to follow in spots, I think it would probably work better in anime, or maybe I’m just dumb In any case, it’s an interesting concept they’re playing with in this story and I like the characters quite a bit. It’s a winner in my book. One thing that’s been on my “soon I’ll start reading it” list is Jujutsu Kaisen. Enjoyed the anime quite a bit, so I’d like to pick up the manga where the anime left off. Maybe next week… The Elusive Samurai #53

Yeah, but they haven't got a massive selection. Depends on what they can license.

^ I'm in agreement about pretty much all of that! Ichinose Family has been rather captivating lately, after a brief lull for a few chapters The Masamune stuff in Elusive Samurai has been super rad, and those weapons are cool AF Chainsaw Man has overall been good, and even when it's not great the vibes are still pretty cool, but it would totally benefit from a longer format (eg, like Choujin X which often has closer to 30 pages, sometimes more... you should totally get caught up on it if you haven't yet ) Akane-banashi continues to be great overall and now that PPPPPP is over Akane is easily my favourite current artsy manga ( PPPPPPP) Every new Show-ha Shoten! is loaded with good stuff even when I don't really get the Japanese stand-up humour Are you caught up on Sakamoto and DB Super? @Anelle thoughts re: latest JJK chapters???

It’s a good time for getting caught up on stuff. Lots of good action going on in Sakamoto and Elusive Samurai right now. Akane-banashi it still on a good run too.

Anybody read the first chapter of Candy Flurry? I've been wanting to read more manga lately, but at the same time I'm not sure that I'm up for catching up on tens (or hundreds) of chapters for anything that's been running a long time now. So when I saw a notification today about a new manga, I figured why not get in on the ground floor? Kind of a funny concept. Beating people up with a lollipop is something I haven't seen before

Kusanagi Doron Dororon #36 Akane-bahashi #27 The Elusive Samurai #75 PPPPPP #46 I don't really have a specific comment... just another very nice chapter. Mimin and Meloli

Perhaps this is the week for me to start on Sakamoto Days... Two things on my reading list wrapped up rather suddenly this month, so I might as well start on something new! Yeah, major disappointment PPPPPP #9 Elusive Samurai #40

I liked the chapter this week too. There’s more to it than what I might have thought last week, but it’s also not too convoluted. Pretty good balance in that regard. Situation is getting critical again this week in The Elusive Samurai! Sakamoto was short this week

Dr. Stone # 205 — I think I have a new favourite character Candy Flurry # 13 — Making me wait another week for the really good stuff… The exchange between Misaki and the intruder was kind of amusing though. Not much excitement in the latest chapter of The Elusive Samurai, but it expanded on the supernatural stuff that started to get introduced in the previous chapter. Background / world-building. I think it’s pretty cool. There is a new one-shot from the Chainsaw Man creator. It’s long-ish so I haven’t opened it up yet, but I will start on it one night this week.

Speaking of Dr. Stone -- I read a few chapters when I couldn't sleep last night, I think I went from... 84? (wherever it was you told me to start from) through to the end of 90. A lot happened in just a few chapters. I like how ambitious they're being, deciding to build a ship to set off sailing across the ocean, and promptly moving on to trying to find oil and building a hot air balloon to facilitate finding the oil. The loom they made for Yuzuriha was pretty rad too. One minor detail that kinda fascinates me a bit is that sometimes Gen speaks in Pig Latin..? I don't recall that ever coming through in the subtitles of the anime. It seems so random, but I like it. It does leave me wondering though, does Pig Latin work in Japanese..? Like, how are those bits of text written originally in the manga. I can't understand a lick of Japanese, much less read it, so I'm not gonna go down that rabbit hole anytime soon... but it's occupying a tiny bit of space in the back of my mind....

Action in #164 was awesome. I think Sakamoto Days is the best series going right now, though Akane-banashi is a very close second.

The first ‘season’ is only four chapters so there’s not that much there to check out. I read them while I was bored watching my daughter do her swimming lessons this week

It sure looks pretty dead. I used to use Manga Stream from time to time when Hunter X Hunter would come back from hiatus, but the last time I went to check if HxH was back I noticed that Manga Stream was gone. I don't read a ton of manga, though I would like to read more if it were more accessible. There's actually quite a bit to choose from at my local library, so I should look into that more. Keeping up with the latest Attack on Titan chapters is the main reason I've kept up my Crunchyroll subscription lately, as their anime offerings seem to be getting worse with each season. I never read AoT via scanlations because it's on Crunchy.
