A little bit of catch-up In short, I love the direction Martial Master Asumi is going and I'm hyped for the upcoming fight. Should be heartbreaking. And Akane-banashi is still great stuff too. The tease at the end of the last chapter has me really curious. Beat & Motion Show-ha Shoten! Sakamoto Days

A little behind on stuff(typical), but I really enjoyed the recent Spy x Family chapter. Getting some backstory on Henderson and Martha, and it was pretty heartbreaking.

I finally tried out Martial Master Asumi. Seems like a better Neru(except I liked the art a tad better) plotwise. The art is great, the fights are engaging, and I really like the way they've built the protagonist. Also feels like I picked it up where the last chapter was properly setting up the rest of the series. So if you're interested, I think it's safe to say you'll know whether you like it after the first 7 chapters. Also, now that you've started Diamond is Unbreakable, maybe it's time I pick it back up?

Have you guys read The Ichinose Family's Deadly Sins? It's made by the person who made Takopi's Original Sin which is only available on the website, but I remember SuperEyepatchWolf mentioned it during his State of Shonen Jump video. It seems like a really cool concept so far. I'm gonna try and keep up with it. And at some point try to check out Takopi, too.

I just looked it up. Apparently chapter 2 comes out on the 29th.

Finally caught up on Sakamoto Days, and holy shit has it been great

Reminder to reply here once I catch up because I've slacked the last two weeks. Have you read Tenmaku Cinema? I didn't think I'd be a big fan at first, but it's been a pretty enjoyable follow so far.

I ended up getting a subscription to digital Shonen Jump after the scans of MHA I was reading turned into scanlations. The verbiage and terminology was so skewed from what I was used to that I paid just to get the official translations. I do keep up with AOT and Dr. Stone through scanlations, which I get through Manga Rock, but that's because I downloaded the app before they had the big change over. Pretty sure it's a pay service if you download it now. As for where the translations came from? It seems like the recent stuff is all over the place. I used to use the site Manganelo.com, but it's been so long that I don't know if they're still getting proper new scanlations of noteworthy series.

I actually didn't realize they sent those! Here's mine

I've actually been relatively caught up on the usual suspects. I just usually miss one week and then catch up on 2 chapters at a time. That said, I do have to read the last two weeks. Just did Sakamoto and holy shit I love the fights going on right now. Seeing Shin trying to stand in his own strength and wits without his ESP(though he maybe unlocked some kind of mind suggestion technique?). Absolutely loved Akane's performance. I love that she started expanding into other stories, and man, the last chapter with her father acknowledging her path to Rakugo and then tearing up at the end. Shit was beautiful. She deserves the promotion. Also hadn't realized it's been over a month since the last Spy x Family! The most recent chapter was pretty fun, but it definitely feels like the best stuff will be next chapter.

Definitely enjoyed the last two chapters of Chainsaw Man, even if it feels a bit random at the moment.

So far, the following chapters have been pretty good, too. The last one kind of ended on an unexpected note, so I'm very curious to follow up. Dragon Ball Super #74

Was literally about to post about DBS

Yeah, I figured cultural difference could be the issue. It's hard to tell. But it's definitely gotten in the way of me liking the manga so far. It's a cool idea and the non-comedy bits are touching, so I wish I could get into it more. But I just find myself kind of lost when it comes to some of the actual comedy. The first chapter wasn't as bad. But this one just had me kind of scratching my head.

I get being over Dr. Stone. I think I'll ways have a soft spot in my heart for it because it's what got me to start seriously reading manga in the first place, and I think coming back to it with big specials as opposed to weekly developments can help with the burnout. If anything, I don't think it's worth continuing as a long form series with it's pacing. I also don't think I minded the bit on Akane-banashi probably just because I was behind enough that it was just part of a swath of other good content. I'll hold out faith for the finale of this arc to deliver. And yeah, bomb, I haven't read Earthchild yet, but I was pretty shocked to see it was still going tbh. That'll be another binge at some point over the next couple days. Maybe today. I still have that, Undead Unluck, Sakamoto Days, MHA, Kaiju No. 8, Doron, Show-Ha, DBS, I haven't checked out any of the new entries, and then I still have to finish Ayashimon. I still got a.bit of a slate ahead of me.

Has anyone here been reading Dr. Stone? I usually don't get too deep into manga like I do anime, but this was part of the big 4 new IP's that were meant to bring fresh blood into the Shonen Jump pages (The Promised Neverland was one of those four). It's basically a battle manga where the conflict and escalation is based on scientific advancement as opposed to fighting and power levels. Really cool art style and surprisingly engaging story. Anime comes out in July. Mostly just getting the ball rolling in this forum.

Haven't caught up on Sakamoto Days yet. I actually started my Earthchild catch up. I think I'm saving Sakamoto for last as I know I'll likely love it regardless. Chainsaw Man 99

Never read/watched Tokyo Ghoul, but the cover art grabbed my attention, so I'll probably check it out.
