AEW had 1.4 million viewers, which apparently beat last week's Smackdown. NXT had 891k. Can't wait for the Meltzer breakdown. How many people flipped between shows, how many people are crossover fans and unique fans etc. Only demographic NXT beat them in was over 50.

Aight, watched NXT. I agree with the general consensus that it was kinda just PWG with higher production values, and the wrestling was better than AEW. AEW felt more like stars than these guys tho. Shitflower thoughts about the returns ahead

Didn't happen at all in Canada, so I missed that shit too

I made the mistake of watching AEW first. I couldn't get past the first match on NXT before I had to shut it off and try again tomorrow. I don't know if AEW can keep that momentum up (and I assume future crowds are not going to be that jacked for the show, and the crowd definitely lifted the show), but AEW production values make NXT look small-time and it feels looser while NXT still feels WWE-corporate controlled. AEW feels fresh but also throwback, dat WCW ring-noise, NXT feels same-old formulaic (good formula, but still formulaic). The kneejerk fan in me says NXT needs to go on the road ASAP and sign CM Punk.

AEW announces a subscription service in the UK to watch Dynamite live, replays will be on ITV. NXT puts on another Keith Lee vs Dijakovic match to try to have a 5-star match and head off AEW as the "place for wrestling." (It was a badass match and you should go watch it now) Ever-Rising = they're dressing up two guys who look like Trent and Chuck so they can make it look like AEW is copying them.

Oh shiiiiii

YOSHHHHHHH

Nop. Similar concept w/ four players and being able to play as enemies, but that one just looks like it's exclusively boss battles.

NXT is on Friday nights in Canada before SDL. Alas, we never had an actual Monday Night War in Canada, now we might miss the Wednesday Night War (assuming AEW gets a TV deal and it's on Wednesday)

Tetris 99 and Kirby Star Allies. Tetris 99 is a great podcast/music game (legit was expecting to take forever to register a win but got it on my 6th try <.<). Kirby games always feel like it's gonna be so-so but the mechanics are always fun, and I find the three-buddy and power-combining mechanics add a lot to the game. Completed 25% so far. SMT Strange Journey made me gotmad, my alignment switched so I had to cobble together a new team after I had just up my regular team to be handle most things and had some strong backups with different elemental types just in case. At least the game lets you summon previously caught demons

Berserk and the Band of the Hawk *Platinum Trophy) 9. God of War 1 (Platinum Trophy) 10. DuckTales Remastered 11. God of War II (Platinum Trophy) 12. God of War: Chains of Olympus (Platinum Trophy) 13. Shadow of the Colossus (Trophy Clean-up) 14. Final Fantasy XIII (Platinum Trophy) 15. Final Fantasy XIII-2 (Platinum Trophy) 16. Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII (Platinum Trophy) 17. Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker 18. Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze 19. New Super Mario Bros U Deluxe 20. New Super Luigi U Deluxe 21. Kirby Star Allies What a good Kirby game. 100%ed, didn't Crown. Modeled after Super Star, good mechanics (four partners, power stealing and combining, some boss or mini-boss characters can be recruited, cool little vehicle sections), chill to play. It's like an average game as a game but a 9 or 10/10 Kirby game.

Yeah, that's crazy. I just listened to a podcast that mentioned that, and how the owner dying led to a bean-counter being put in charge and they've lowered the pay of CMLL guys. Some of them have said "fuck it" because they can make more money being independent. Apparently that was why Cavernario had to pull out of BOLA too, they would've had to have Penta and Fenix on one night and him on a separate night and PWG wasn't gonna go for that. Holding out a bit of hope that Konnan can finally put L.A. Park and Rush together in AAA, but even that's fraught with wrestling politics

The first few episodes originally came out as a movie, so it's possible they spin the second season out of it the same way

Rush and Dragon Lee were fired by CMLL last night after CMLL held their biggest show of the year (though Rush had already quit like an hour beforehand) Rush just won the RoH World Title and CMLL is one of their partner promotions. Dragon Lee was announced for the NJPW Jr Tag Tournament later in the year. Both promotions are CMLL partners. CMLL also seems to own at least the Mexican rights to "Rush" and "Dragon Lee." God damn. Rip, Los Ingobernables ;_;
