I liked parts of the opening bit, the Moxley promo and parts of the main event, but yeah. Forgettable at times, at other times bad. NXT definitely had the stronger show this week (even with that weird injury sub). Apparently Vince wanted to strap the rocket to Adam Cole and push him to the moon, but Keith Lee got to him first

Dragon Quest IV: Chapters of the Chosen. Finally beat Chapter 2, started Chapter 3 and this is the one I'm most interested in. Torneko Talloon the merchant is apparently beloved character to the Dragon Quest fanbase and this is the Chapter he's introduced in. I have a sneaking suspicion that Japanese salarymen identified with him because you actually do mind a shop and probably work towards owning one of your own (I met a character in Chapter 2 who's looking to sell his shop and retire, so that might be it). Pokemon Sword ofc. Also going to start Poochy & Yoshi's Woolly World whenever my sister yoinks Sword.

I did technically beat it (including the post-game final quest). I'm not finished with it yet because I do want to collect'em all and do other things in it, but it's being relegated to the game to play while listening to podcasts and not the game I'm principally focusing on. Besides the obvious complaints that long-time fans have (THEY LEFT OUT KROOKODILE REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE), it was otherwise a solid-ass Pokemon game. Catching and collecting is always fun, I fucking loved the gyms (GYMS ARE BACK) and the focus on Pokemon Battles as a competitive spectator sport. The UK-ish backgrounds were pretty as fuck. The quality-of-life additions were welcome. I think the main villain/storyline could've been more fleshed out, but it accomplished what it meant to. Team Yell was weak as fu as far as Pokemon teams are but I guess they served their purpose. Pretty good generation as far as designs go, but super-weak when it comes to the starters.

Dominate? - Rhea Ripley won via cheating with interference against heel Sasha when the crowd was ready for her to straight up win clean and make her an instant star the way they want Lacey Evans to be + Roderick steals a win (that's okay, he's a heel) - Roderick had to steal a win off of someone else's finisher, doesn't win strong when most of NXT doesn't win strong over the course of the night - Roderick's entrance gets cut off before the BOOM + Adam Cole BAYBAY (BOOM) and Pete Dunne got to do their thing at least - Walter eliminated early like a fucking chump + Riddle pins RKO - Riddle pins RKO with a fluke roll-up - - - - - - - Riddle RKO'd and eliminated immediately right after - Ciampa, the top babyface of the brand, is not the last elimination of his team - Keith Lee also still loses + Shayna wins strong - In a dead match - Doesn't even kill Becky, just heel Bayley Even though they upgraded the minor league to an equal brand, it was still pussy booking to protect the "main" roster from the "minor league" roster.
