I always look forward to his rare single matches because he delivers but they happen so infrequently that everyone forgets he's a good wrestler. Think Ishii got hurt during the match, but Ishii so can't tell. He dropped Despy in an unsafe-looking way but Despy still landed flat, and it's only unsafe if Despy doesn't know it's coming. And then sometimes he sold it and then sometimes he completely ignored it. Badass match either way though

Episode 11 of Gleipnir was really good. I don't get this show at all, half the time it's bare basic edgy teenage shit with bad plot twists, and the other half is super interesting mysteries

I've been listening to Drake's first studio album Thank Me Later for the first time. On first listen it wasn't nearly as good as So Far Gone, no songs as good as Best I Ever Had or Say What's Real or Successful. Seems like he shuffled a bit backwards to try and cover more pop bases but I guess since singing rappers wasn't as big of a thing back then it still would've come out sounding revolutionary. I've listened to about half of it a second time and have been liking pretty much everything. I was kinda looking forward to drama with Nicki Minaj somehow featuring on 6ix9ine's next track release but it came out as a whole lot of nothing. I can't tell if it's because the riots have made people care about petty little things like that less, or if people are just over the trolling because it seems like there's more people laughing that "street guys are gonna be mad about this" than there is actual street guys mad about. Was also half-looking forward to Pop Smoke's posthumous album but there was no way that was gonna release this week and they pushed it back.

I could see it being slightly higher than $500 for the top-of-the-line unit because they were having problems locking down parts before corona hit. PWG BOLA Night 3 2nd Round Matches I'm pretty sure I had the tourney winner spoiled way back when it happened but I don't know who made the finals, so the third round will still be partially interesting 3rd Round and Final

Fire Emblem: Awakening. I restarted the game after hitting around the halfway point, getting my ass kicked and realizing where I'd slipped up in developing my party and not understanding the mechanics. Only had one marriage at the time, a few units massively overleveled, didn't use Robin all that often (holy shit), didn't train a competent healer up, too many units specializing in Lances etc etc. I'm a few missions away from where I was before, have about 6 or 7 marriages, Robin was a regular in the rotation, primary healer can use weapons and have a few secondary healers available, only a handful of characters haven't been class-promoted, a good mix of weapon types, been training secondary weapons in secondary missions. Now the difficulty I'm having is that all these cool next-generation characters are showing up from the marriages and I don't want to use any of them because they're massively under-leveled compared to my main party ? Got Xenoblade Remaster coming by the end of the week, oh boy

PWG BOLA 2019 Night 2 was probably a better wrestled show, but not as much variety. I liked what I saw of Mick Moretti, mourning the loss of Jake Atlas from the indies (especially to WWE, RIP his career, long live his wallet) and I think I hate Tony Deppen. Orange Cassidy vs David Starr is easily the best OC match I've seen and probably the best way to do OC matches realistically

Sword Art Online - Ordinal Scale Expected it to be throwaway plot because anime movies tend to be, instead got Aincrad lore and events and pretty fight scenes ;_;

BOLA 2019 Night 1 This was a really good show, lot of different match styles represented so even the worst parts of it didn't feel like it dragged too much A-Kid vs Lucky Kid was probably the best match of the night, if you mix in Daniel Bryan Danielson bullshit I basically love you Caveman Ugg impressed me, Brodie King is okay (I'm familiar with him from RoH) but annoys me because he's doing lucha shit and he's way too big for anyone to really base all that well for him when he does lucha shit Dragon Lee vs Rey Horus and Mexablood vs Lucha Bros was good lucha shit and you more or less knew what to expect there Blake Christian/Tony Deppen vs Joey Janela/Alex Zayne was a bad wrestling match that had some cool spots in it Darby Allin vs Black Taurus was a weird match on paper but fun Gresham vs Artemis Spencer was shaping up to be a bad match but they got it back by the end. Spencer looked pretty green or maybe nervous Jeff Cobb vs Daisuke Sekimoto was a good wrestling match without many cool spots in it. I love Big Japan slugfests but I think they play better in front of Japanese crowds

Fire Emblem: Awakening Chapter 13. Chrom, Sumia, Kellam Master Seal'ed, Frederick max level'ed, I think I have another Pegasus Knight approaching 20 and everyone else in my main party is hanging around level 10-13.

Ended up restarting Fire Emblem because I didn't like how my party was shaping up + understand the mechanics of it better now

I've seen a few players grumble on social media that the excuse for not having the NHL in the olympics was so that they don't get injured in non-NHL games but then they keep trying to hold the season during a pandemic. At the time I thought it was pandemic grumbling but now I'm wondering if that was olympics grumbling instead

I bet it has something to do with ad rates. They may lose money running the playoffs, but they'll probably lose less overall than if they didn't run them because they can make back some advertiser money that would otherwise probably be pulled. Also with players there's only so many shots at a Championship. If it was just the regular season, I bet they don't give a single fuck, but getting your name engraved on the cup might be worth the risk. That's the only explanation I can come up with because otherwise if you're the player's union, I'd stop that shit because my players are getting paid regardless and this doesn't potentially risk their careers.
