A few songs or albums you've been listening to lately. I'm not gonna post any links but: 1) I listened to NBA Young Bay's last album and part of his last mixtape. It's weird because it's the same song and the same sound to me every single time, but his delivery (especially when he's angry) is really raw so I also like it. I don't think I've outright loved a single song of his but I can easily listen to any of his music at the same time. 2) A Boogie's deluxe version of Artist 2.0 came out and half the songs are better than a lot of what was on the album in the first place (no, not the cumstain song). I guess it's a thing in hip-hop now to juice the numbers by releasing a deluxe not long after (I think one guy did it a few days later to finesse the numbers and get him a #1). I really needa listen to more of it but haven't been on it lately

What you're playing, why you're playing it and any goals you have playing it Xenoblade Chronicles Definitive. 62ish hours now, about to enter Valak Mountain, I think Chapter 10 or 11ish. Peak Metal Face just happened. I don't remember too much of what happens beyond this point. Fire Emblem Awakening: I've beaten the main missions and every in-game and spotpass paralogue except for three, two mutant kid recuitments and then the "50 Enemies and a Great Lord Descendant" mission. I'm gonna mate the last few characters to create the mutant kids, beat all the spotpass challenges with characters from previous games, and level up 30ish units so I can bring them into that last paralogue battle. After that it'll just be "getting every Support conversation." Infamous Second Son: Popped the two stunt trophies I had left (beating an enemy after having used all three powersets on him, and dashing through two vents and comet dropping on an enemy), just have to beat the game on Expert while playing Evil to get the Platinum. Been awhile since I played it, but it's still fun and easy to play. There's something I love about that Assassin's Creed style gameplay, liberating districts and doing mini-missions on a medium sized sandbox maps. I recognize it's 7/10 structure but I play it like it's 10/10 structure

Dorohedoro was great. Ultra-violent slice-of-life, funny as shit, interesting mystery, p. funny Doom parody in the second outro

They replayed the Boneyard in full on SDL this week to cover for the lack of content because "Oops we infected our roster", so we had The Good Brothers on TV weeks after they'd been fired Not the original one, but reddit's been going Garfield Minus Garfield with Adam Cole matches, clipping out his opponents and making it look like he's wrestling himself and/or having a nervous breakdown by himself in the ring

@Garlic Junior The New Beginning vs Kenta (Double Title) We were on the cusp of a Hiromu vs Naito non title challenge between the Heavy and Jr Heavy Champions but that's when covid cancelled the universe. The currently ongoing New Japan Cup is to set up a double title match at Dominion on July 12th

Eh. That was obviously an edgelord joke about how attracted he was to her (he would've been 21/22 at the time?). It's not playing well right now for obvious reasons, but that's a pretty nothing singular incident in the larger scheme of things (unless there's more incidents involving him to show a pattern of behaviour).

Last episode of this Taker docu is fantastic. The twists and turns, actually paying for Metallica (I think they used a cover/soundalike for Mania?), seeing Luke Gallows pulls his Konnan-in-the-nWo and sticking close to AJ in the background so he's going to show up in every shot of every important promo of these events even though he no longer works for them (the best part is he didn't smarten up Brother Karl so you barely ever see him ? ). Great shit

Xenoblade Chronicles Definitive I forgot how beautiful Makna Forest is, especially at night during a meteor shower I'm in Chapter 8, level 40ish, been fighting almost every enemy I meet even if I don't have to so I'm going a lot slower than I probably should. Fire Emblem Awakening Last stage just opened up, then after that it's support-conversation training, getting the rest of the mutant children and maybe playing spotpass missions. :segacd: Sonic CD Really good Sanic game. Love the music, especially the Tidal Tempest set of themes, Eggman's Boss Theme (if it wasn't for this, it'd probably be my favourite Eggman theme) and the End Credits, such a cleaner sound compared to the Genesis synth so it really stands out for all the 2D Sanic games. I was expecting to not 100% the Trophy list on this because of how hard collecting the Time Stones is, but the game Saves your progress including before Special Stages so as long as time doesn't run out to trigger the auto-save you can keep trying again and again. Only thing I need to do to finish the trophy list is to destroy all the Metal Sonic Holograms and Roboticizers in a single playthrough (I did it during the run I got all the Time Stones in, didn't realize collecting them all auto-destroyed that stuff and thus made the trophy pop impossible).

This Stanley Cup would already have an asterisk attached to it, imagine if we're in Game 3 of the Cup Finals and then one or two players on the other team test positive. I'm not surprised in the slight least, considering his reaction to Velveteen Dream contacting underaged boys was "why did you do it under your own name/this is how we used protect ourselves from this in the old days." Apparently a list of 40 names on the BritWres scene has been compiled Joey Ryan's been accused (zero shock their either), and ironically enough his character on Impact right now is based on cancel culture

As if WWE didn't kill BrisWres enough I'm impressed at how efficiently David Starr has burned bridges with every major company without working at any of them and every semi-major company. Also looks like Impact's roster is gonna be STACKED because they're the island of misfit toys at this point, anyone who's been blackballed or cancelled ends up there now

Xenoblade Chronicles Definitive Edition Pretty as fuck but still has some very rough edges (it's basically a PS2 JRPG even if it came out during the Wii era), I'd forgotten some of the beautiful landscapes (Makna Forest at night on the bridge ). The Inventory System and Gem Crafting Systems are still atrocious but there's at least auto-selling options and fast-forwarding respectively. I think I enjoy the more simplistic gameplay compared to XB2, there's a lot less balancing of menus and systems and none of the Blade RNG to care about. Always loved the quest system too, it's a great excuse to explore the full maps. I've been slow-going it, killing most enemies I encounter at least the first time instead of skipping over them because I'm mostly higher level. Fire Emblem Awakening Turns out I was much farther in the game than I thought when I restarted, only have a few chapters left in the main story. Haven't decided if I'm gonna play the SpotPass post-game stuff and get all the available relationship link conversations or not.
