Deca-Dence has potential. I like how the monsters die and the overall set-up. It reminds of Children of the Whale in a way, but it's sorta nothing like it so it might just be similar characters or something.

Awriiight, David and Jenny both added votes, David voted for strictly Ogre Battle 64 and Jenny added on to the three current front-runners Contra Anniversary and Streets of Rage 2 it is. Thanks for the input, guys, will be playing as a side-games after I 100% Detroit

Just finished my first Detroit playthrough. I am fucked up right now

I've only got 3 chapters left in my first playthrough so far I'm a shit investigator (haven't solved a single case), pretty good Gandhi (should've made it bloody tbh), decent fugitive. The flowcharts in this are pretty crazy.

I have enough money to buy all of'em but I'm holding onto it for fall/winter because I don't believe for a second Nintendo's gonna release Mario 64, Mario Sunshine and Mario Galaxy all together in one too-good-to-be-true package
-
Aight, gonna exclude Psycho's dupe votes and include votes for the second list that got mentioned in-thread but weren't actually voted on. Center + OSF 4 Ikaruga (1 Mention, Birdy also said "or Puzzle Bobble" but this one's closer) 2 Daytona USA 2 Ogre Battle 64 4 Contra Anniversary 3 Streets of Rage 2 3 Gunstar Heroes (2 Mentions) 2 Comix Zone 2 Virtua Fighter 2 (1 Mention) 1 Doom 64 1 Golden Axe (1 Mention) Contra's got the tiebreaker right now because it'll let me get one more gaemu (probs give that tiebreaker to SoR2 because it was actually voted on in polls), 24 hours remain
-
I plan on playing them all at some point or another, this is more of an "inject your personal tastes into the last purchase this gift card can make" deal. It can only buy one from the first list or two from the second list, so whichever everyone likes best is whatever I'll play next when the Switch isn't available (after Detroit)
-
Should I count double dips and/or verbal support (which is weird because all the verbal support is mostly for the second list which you can pick more than one thing on) (Also tie-breakers will go to the second list because that's more games) ?
-
Combined with the Center vote so far, Contra Anniversary is winning and then a bunch of others have 2
-
Five minutes into Detroit and the game's already got me hard

Ohoooo, finally some corroboration on the Jay Lethal one.

God of High School had me at using a Stone Cold Stunner in a kung-fu battle royale

I think I've played the NES Contra game on emulator for like 10 minutes before shutting it off because I died too much, but I was only counting games that I've either beaten or played pretty extensively as "played before" I think I played Golden Axe a little bit for a trophy in the Xbox 360 Genesis collection, but I never owned a Genesis so I never played it all that much

NOOOOO ENNIO MORRICONE RIP ;_;

The Japanese language Galar Farfetch'd (fighting type) in Pokemon 2019 sounds like it's saying "Come On" in English every time it speaks

Season 1 of Fire Force was pretty cool. The pyrokinesis and how it's applied can be awesome as fuck (especially one specific battle later in the season), the animation also gets pretty good, the style goes out of its way to present as different, it can be deliciously lewd, the characters are likeable. I would say the weak point is that the plot is pretty generic shonen, so if the style doesn't grab you, there's no point in going on with it.

And Super Hxeroes
-
Definitely gonna keep up with The Misfit of Demon King Academy
-
Felt like Fire Force's Season 2 first ep was a throwaway just to get people back in the swing of things, but it was also still enjoyable as fuck

Trophies were a little challenge-heavy (the bane of my Infamous 1 Platinum existence) but the challenges also weren't too bad. I liked how Fetch could temporarily take over some enemies. I can see why people thought this was better than Second Son, it was hard to go back to Delsin (I tried for extra points in the challenge mode), and it felt like it was just getting going when it ended. I'm impressed that Sucker Punch figured out how to make a Flash game and kinda sad they never will because they're working with Marvel now (I will get to Spider-Man eventually and I assume it'll be great).

I definitely appreciated it more this time, I liked Delsin and Reggie both representing the opposite side of the old "X-Men" argument, I used the other powersets more than I did the first time, actually 100%ed it again even though I didn't really need to. It's a nice, fun easy game. Badass evil ending too
