Get a some OJ and a bottle of sparkling wine, mimosas are what I would prescribe in this case. Also a shot of scotch before bedtime won't hurt. -
I got to chapter 11 last night. The part where Anya drilled the Desmond kid right in the face was perhaps the most satisfying thing so far for me Take that, shithead Of course, now he's probably got a thing for her because she actually stood up to him...

2021 Baseball Season AKA Pandemic Baseball: The Second Wave

I don’t think the A’s will keep this up. But they have a knack for putting good teams together out of spare parts. -
If you like “Bone Machine” then start with their earlier material. Come On Pilgrim EP and then Surfer Rosa. I don’t think I’m familiar with that YouTube channel but I’ll check it out!

Well, you keep telling me the story gets better, so I can’t help but be curious! Despite my (numerous? ) complaints so far about the anime, it is an interesting premise with some interesting characters, so I’ll keep giving it a chance even if I’m not in love with everything about it.

Hmm... so that's a bit over 100 chapters to get current. I might have it in me.

If one wanted to read Dr. Stone starting from where the Stone Wars anime ended in the winter, then what chapter would one start at..?

I dunno, I think Brazil is botching their COVID response pretty badly, so I don't think US and A gets to be No. 1 at failing-to-control-COVID -
Anybody know if the final season is also going to be 25 episodes like the first and second seasons..? Or could this one potentially be shorter? I'm unfamiliar with the manga so I have no idea how much story is left Poor Machi

Rather than learning from the mistakes made in the U.S. and other places, we decided in Ontario that it would be best to just repeat all the same mistakes -
On a big Pixies kick this week. I wore their albums out in high school / college. It's been years since I last listened to them because of how much I over-listened to them years ago. Really enjoying hearing these songs again now though

I didn't get to Spy x Family yet, but I just read through the first few chapters of i tell c, and it's pretty amusing so far. Good enough for me to continue reading.

The Ms might be bad when 162 games are over and done with, but they're on a nice little run to start the season! I hope it continues. -
I think the last MCU movie I watched was Ant-Man (the first one)... I lost interest in the whole thing and have been out of the loop for a while now... but I'd be tempted to check out Shang-Chi. These movies don't go on Netflix anymore, right? Guess I'll have to try to catch it on a plane someday if we can ever travel again

It makes sense why Sony would be unhappy over this, but it's great news for fans of baseball games. It's nice to have some choice and it sucked that The Show was a Sony exclusive for so long. Realistically, I don't think this is that big of a deal because I don't think The Show is going to move a lot of consoles for either company, baseball just doesn't seem as popular as other sports.

Try not to get sick. Keep going to work. Try not to get sick at work. Keep going to work even if you do get sick (or stay home and I guess just stop paying rent or stop eating???). -

I'll read the first few chapters of each later today and then decide if I want to keep reading. Based on the descriptions I've read about Spy x Family, it sounds like I'll really like it.

Yeah, it's truly pathetic what the government in Ontario is doing. After the new measures were announced last week, the science director of the Ontario's COVID-19 advisory table was interviewed on radio and he said, "the new restrictions show that more than a year into the pandemic the province doesn't understand how the virus spreads." Can't be more blunt than that. The province has scientists and doctors giving them recommendations on what needs to be done, and I guess they are just ignoring them. The government still doesn't have a clue, or a plan to make things better. Ugh. Just listen to the experts, guys. -
i tell c and Spy x Family are both on my radar from looking around on the Jump app for stuff that won't require extensive binge reading to get caught up on.

Anybody read the first chapter of Candy Flurry? I've been wanting to read more manga lately, but at the same time I'm not sure that I'm up for catching up on tens (or hundreds) of chapters for anything that's been running a long time now. So when I saw a notification today about a new manga, I figured why not get in on the ground floor? Kind of a funny concept. Beating people up with a lollipop is something I haven't seen before

SK8 was lots of fun, I hope you and Lee enjoy it!

The government decided to walk back the new police measures, and reopen parks/playgrounds. I guess there was a lot of pushback! I was mad about it but I'm far too apathetic to actually do anything I figured I could just drink more everyday and things would somehow be OK eventually. I'm thankful for all the angry and proactive people out there who actually complained, made phone calls, etc. to get this stuff reverted.
