Aquatope #8 — that’s one scary crab Another very touching episode. After a slow-ish start, Aquatope has turned out to be quite good.

Anybody going to check out Edens Zero? I think the first part of it just hit Netflix... I might have a look this weekend.

Fena #3 — This show is super fun. Another very solid episode. The twins And Yukimaru was pretty badass

It was a fun mini-chapter, but I was disappointed to see the ‘.1’ Oh well, two weeks until the next proper chapter.

Finally got around to Hathaway this weekend. I agree, very Tomino. I enjoyed it quite a bit. It was perhaps a bit light on the mecha, so I hope there will be more battles in the upcoming movies.

Seattle usually doesn’t win in blow-outs, so it’s tough against teams with lots of offensive firepower. They need to keep games close. Toronto stopped the bleeding a little bit last night with a win, but even if they win a lot of their remaining games, they might still come up short. Too many teams ahead of them. I think they do still have a couple series left against NYY though. Winning those games could help them move up the Wild Card standings. But even still, they need Boston, Seattle, Oakland to start losing more games too.

I never heard about the Ivermectin thing until I read these posts. Wow I guess it’s only a thing in the USA… I don’t think anybody is using that stuff (on humans) up here. Maybe Special K would work better. They use that stuff on horses too. K-Hole the coronavirus

That really sucks. Hopefully the guy bounces back after the hospital stay, but getting hospitalized can’t be a good sign

Aquatope #7 — I thought it was just going to be ‘the swimsuit episode’ (every anime gotta have one ) but there was a lot more depth to it than that. I am going to be so bummed out if they don’t save this good damn aquarium

Yikes. Circumstances are quite different from there to here. AFAIK masks will be required at all schools here (in class, in the halls, on buses, etc.) I'm sure a small amount of people are upset by that, but anybody that is that opposed to masking can choose to put their kids in online schooling, or some other alternative to public schools. It seems odd to pass legislation saying schools cannot require masks. Right now there is a push from some parents in Ontario to require all teachers and school staff get vaccinated, but I doubt that will go anywhere. The government is loathe to make vaccines mandatory. But if they strongly recommend it, and introduce routine rapid testing for staff that choose to not get the vaccine, then I think that will be adequate.

DB Super #75 -- I'm usually not a huge Vegeta fan, but I guess he's growing on me a bit. This battle is great. I hope to see it animated someday!

That's a bummer. I would probably not be so quick to pull my kids from school, but it would also depend on other factors. Does your school seem like it's got a good plan in place to screen kids each day and notify parents if a case is found in the school? There are still going to be some cases that slip through the cracks, but if the school seems to have a credible plan in place to handle COVID and mitigate the risks, then that would satisfy me. I totally get how other people would see things differently though! Each kid is different too. My 10 year old always wears a mask without complaints or having to remind her, and she's mindful about physical distancing and other COVID-related rules, so it's easy for us to trust her to be safe at school. If she behaved differently then we'd probably be more worried about that as well. School doesn't start here until after Labour Day. We'll see how things go in September.

Fena #2 — It seems like this show is going to have a really fun cast of characters! (Except maybe Yukimaru, what a buzzkill ) I’ve got pretty high hopes that this is gonna be a good one.

I only had time for one episode last night. Fena is off to a good start! I think I'll enjoy this show quite a bit.

I totally forgot that I was going to check that out this season... I forget about things when they start late in the season I guess I know what I'm watching tonight!

I finished off Those Snow White Notes last night. More awesome music throughout the final episodes, but I wasn't very satisfied by the ending. Too many things left unresolved. It feels like there should be one more episode to tie up some loose ends... give us an OVA or something. The source material is a long running manga, so they of course cannot wrap up everything in just one season of anime, but surely they could have ended this better Unless there's going to be a second season eventually, though I doubt that.

Watched another 5 episodes of Those Snow White Notes last night. The group performances at the competition were great. Setsu is starting to figure out his sound. I wish I started watching this sooner.

I like the idea of the leveling system. I will be playing the Pixel Remaster version on mobile. I’m not sure if any changes have been made (other than graphics of course) from the original NES version to improve it in any way. I think the Pixel Remasters are supposed to be pretty faithful to the originals, just with updated graphics.

I watched the first four episodes of Those Snow White Notes last night. I like it quite a bit. I thought of checking it out during the spring season, but I was already watching several other shows. Now I can just binge watch it The shamisen music is fantastic. The story itself is not incredible, and the pacing is faster than I expected (especially the first episode—lots going on!) Also the mom character is just ridiculous. But whatever. The music is very cool.

The Ford government wants nothing to do with a vaccine passport, so I don't know if we'll get one in Ontario. I think it would be a good idea to need to show proof of vaccination to get into higher-risk places like indoor gyms, etc... but I can also see how some people would find that problematic. We'll see what happens.
