There hasn't been a dramatic spike in COVID cases in Ontario yet, thankfully. 7-day average is 723 according to the chart on Google, which could be worse. The line isn't going straight up. Out in Alberta they are fairing much worse. Turns out that getting rid of COVID protocols and then basically doing nothing is not a good plan. Seems like the Alberta Premier has been in hiding for a while or something. No leadership. The guy is pretty much useless. I thought we all knew that already from his time in Stevie Harper's government, but the dummies in Alberta voted for him anyhow... glhf

Man, I am riding high after that sweep of NYY. 23 games left on the Jays' sched. 14 (!) are against the O's and Twins. Both of those teams stink. Don't mess around, Blue Jays, don't play down to their levels. Take care of business and rack up a bunch of wins. Plz ? Because there are still 3 games left vs. NYY that I really want to see them win too. And 6 games vs. Tampa that I am less confident about. No shame if they lose a few games to the Rays, or even Yankees. The Rays are very good this year, and the Yanks are a solid team too. But don't go losing to the bottom-feeders.

I saw a trailer the other day for Chainsaw Man... it's been up on YouTube a while now... maybe it's coming in the Winter season? I think part 2 of SnK Final Season is also coming up this Winter. I'm looking forward to seeing that as well. After looking at the fall lineup, I'm not super excited for too many things... but that's OK. I probably watched too much anime in Winter and Spring 2021. I'm taking it easier this Summer and Fall. I'll be ready to watch more again when Winter is here ??

I’ll keep watching Aquatope for sure. And I’ll check out Komi-san because the trailer looked interesting. Outside of that, I dunno yet. I’ll probably check out the originals. A good anime original is kind of my holy grail that I search for with each new season.

Jays smack the Yanks 8-0 today

I like your optimism dude! I won’t get my hopes up too much yet, but this weekend’s series against Oakland was great. Pitching faltered but the bats finally came through. This team should be able to out-score teams quite a bit. In the remainder of the schedule, Toronto plays Baltimore several more times too. They absolutely need to win as many games as possible against the Yanks, but racking up wins against the O’s is also very important. I don’t think the Jays have any games left against Boston though. We need them to lose.

The new Candy Flurry and Elusive Samurai chapters were solid. I’m looking forward to the upcoming showdowns in each next week! Dr. Stone is progressing pretty quickly.

The number of cases reported in Ontario are climbing daily, slow and steady Still not out of control yet, but not a good direction to be heading in. School starts the day after Labour Day too. I really need the schools to stay open all year this year ?

Aquatope #8 — that’s one scary crab Another very touching episode. After a slow-ish start, Aquatope has turned out to be quite good.

Anybody going to check out Edens Zero? I think the first part of it just hit Netflix... I might have a look this weekend.

Fena #3 — This show is super fun. Another very solid episode. The twins And Yukimaru was pretty badass

It was a fun mini-chapter, but I was disappointed to see the ‘.1’ Oh well, two weeks until the next proper chapter.

Finally got around to Hathaway this weekend. I agree, very Tomino. I enjoyed it quite a bit. It was perhaps a bit light on the mecha, so I hope there will be more battles in the upcoming movies.

Seattle usually doesn’t win in blow-outs, so it’s tough against teams with lots of offensive firepower. They need to keep games close. Toronto stopped the bleeding a little bit last night with a win, but even if they win a lot of their remaining games, they might still come up short. Too many teams ahead of them. I think they do still have a couple series left against NYY though. Winning those games could help them move up the Wild Card standings. But even still, they need Boston, Seattle, Oakland to start losing more games too.

I never heard about the Ivermectin thing until I read these posts. Wow I guess it’s only a thing in the USA… I don’t think anybody is using that stuff (on humans) up here. Maybe Special K would work better. They use that stuff on horses too. K-Hole the coronavirus

That really sucks. Hopefully the guy bounces back after the hospital stay, but getting hospitalized can’t be a good sign
