Another random thing I checked out on Crunchyroll last night: Miss Shachiku and the Little Baby Ghost. It had some cuteness and charm. I would describe it as sort of like Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid, just not quite as good. Shachiku, a 'corporate slave' who's getting over-worked and pulling long hours at the office, meets a little ghost who's trying to scare her away from the office because she doesn't want Shachiku to work herself to death. I might watch another episode.

I randomly checked out Deaimon: Recipe for Happiness last night. Could be a sweet (pun intended) little slice of life story. The first episode definitely had enough going for it that I’ll stick with it a bit longer.

Don’t think so. It’s licensed by Netflix. April 27 is the international release date on there. It gets a few weeks exclusively in Japan first, or something like that.

I hope the M’s are good this year too. I felt they were a bit of a mirage last year, out-performing their actual talent level a little bit, but I think they’re an improved team this year. Guess we’ll see what happens. Projection systems and analysts all seem to be fairly high on the Jays this year, which is cool, but I’m not totally convinced just yet that they can win the AL East. It’s gonna be tough. Super high hopes though.

I was really struggling earlier to remember literally anything about Shield Hero But as I watched the new episode, most of the important details came back to me.

Season starts tomorrow! It's been a weird spring what with the late start. Even up to like yesterday there have been some trades happening. There's been a stupid amount of chatter about Jose Ramirez getting dealt, which I thought was the dumbest idea ever, but apparently the Jays were pursuing a deal for Ramirez so I was hearing/reading a lot about it lately. Apparently the Dads were trying hard to trade for him too. It's good to see that he got an extension and will stay in Cleveland at least for now. I'm tired of hearing about it Cleveland hardly has any money on their books, so despite being one of the teams that cries poor, they can afford to extend him. And they just re-branded and probably want to sell a bunch of jerseys. And the season hasn't even started yet so fans can still be optimistic, especially since they play in a weak division. They'd be fools to trade him before the start of the season.

Forgot there was a thread about this. I really enjoyed this series! The final two episodes especially, but really it was all very good. Let’s keep being friends

Doron Dororon #17

I’ll probably keep watching Shadows House. The summer season isn’t looking too stacked right now, so I might not be watching much else. Speaking of summer, it looks like we’re getting another season of Overlord this summer. I’ll probably check it out. I figured that was done. It’s been a while since the last season of it. I’m not, like, excited for it… but it was a decent isekai with some fun characters.

Slow and steady, the supporting characters are growing on me. What an odd bunch. The Dragon Force girl is probably my fav so far

Pretty underwhelming final episode of the season. Waiting until 2023 sucks.

Yeah there was no way everything left was going to fit into one episode, unless the last episode was a movie or something. Bummer.

Finally started watching Komi Can’t Communicate last night. I’m eight episodes in now and enjoying it so far. Komi is of course very easy to cheer for and my favourite character Tadano is great too. The secondary characters are a mixed bag but they’re starting to grow on me.

Thursdays aren’t Ousama Ranking Day anymore

I sure hope we get more of this anime someday! But I agree with 666 that this is a pretty satisfying place to end it if we don't end up getting more. I'd also love to be able to check out the manga, but AFAIK there isn't an official translation. I'd totally buy up all the volumes of Ousama Ranking if there were an official translation. It'd be cool if the anime generated enough buzz that a publisher decided it would be worthwhile to make that happen...

Nope, no new episode last night. Gotta wait until this Sunday.

After a long layoff, me and the kiddo are back to watching Digimon Adventure (2020). We're at episode 62 now. I think at this point nearly all of the team has activated the crests on their Digivices, so I guess there's not much left but the final showdown. There have been some fun moments in these last few episodes. Each characters gets a little spotlight. But it's getting a bit long and drawn out too. I'm ready for it to be over.

Sakamoto Days starting to get good again. Chapter 64 Ayashimon and Doron Dororon have been decent lately. Some cool panels in both this week. Ayashimon can be hard to follow in spots, sort of like Chainsaw Man was, but I like the style even if I’m guessing some of the time Elusive Samurai #56 Shout out to the Vietnamese guy in chapter 7 of Akane-Banashi Very basic stuff but they got all the words right.
