No new chapters this weekend But we did get a new Chainsaw Man today

I totally forgot about Damian's mum! Gotta figure she makes another appearance soon-ish.

Yup, I wanted it super bad for Akane. But it's never that easy..! I've got two thumbs way up for both Wild Strawberry and Shojo Null You've gotta give 'em a look when you got a few minutes.

The Jays turned things up a bit over the weekend. Their AAA call-up (Davis Schneider) had an incredible big league debut. Look at his boxscores from the three games in Boston. Unbelievable stuff from a 28th round draft pick that nobody ever would have put much stock in! I really hope he sticks in the MLB. Super likeable guy. And, yeah, it is looking rather bleak for the Angels. I think they broke Ohtani. What else can he do? I suppose he'll be MVP in the AL this year, which is cool, but he seems like the kind of dude who just wants his team to win games more so than win individual awards.

Horimiya -piece- #5 Usually Sengoku and Remi are my least favourite characters, but they both grew on me a bit in this episode. Sengoku was still pretty annoying during the first half of the episode at the sleepover, even if his pathetic attempts to look under Miyamura's shirt were pretty hilarious But the scene with them walking home from school was rather charming. And then Kono getting Remi the cookies at the end More excellent comedic relief from Iura in this episode too. Dude is low-key one of the best characters in this series In other news: I am *so hyped* for the next few episodes of MIX. I'm not sure if the boys are going all the way to Koshien this summer... but there are still enough episodes left in the summer season that their run isn't over yet. The next game against Seinan is going to be epic.

Opened up the Jump app at lunch to read a few more JoJo chapters, but there was a new series so I figured why not give it a whirl. Wow! Shojo Null #1

New Gokurakugai and Show-ha Shoten! chapters yesterday! (I totally didn't forget that these series even existed ) Honestly, not a heck of a lot happened in either chapter, but they were both good. Gokurakugai Show-ha Shoten!

I noticed that more Bastard!! was up on Netflix. Haven't gotten around to starting it yet, but I am looking forward to it!

Okay, I am officially down on this weeks episode of Stray Dogs (#4 of this season)

Yeah, that's why I took a break after Stardust Crusaders too. Needed a break after binging the previous parts. I am really enjoying Diamond is Unbreakable now after having taken a break from JJBA. It feels fresher again.

This week's Zom 100 What a wild ride this story is. (Felt bad for the one girl though (Yukari IIRC ?) ) I got the new Stray Dogs episode queued up for tonight

I decided this week to pick up on JoJo's Bizarre Adventure again. Started on Diamond is Unbreakable a few days ago and I'm nearly 40 chapters into it. I'm enjoying it quite a bit so far. But it does seem to continue the trend of "Here's another stand user, and here's another stand user, and another..." that got tired for me in Stardust Crusaders. It's a bit of a quantity vs. quality imbalance problem IMO. But so far in Diamond is Unbreakable, I have most enjoyed the new stand users that have been introduced. Hopefully it stays that way.

The Jays have 7 games still against the O's. They start a 4-game series today, and then a 3-gamer mid-August. A strong performance in these 7 games could help the Jays move up the standings. I am not setting my hopes very high, because the Jays have been so frustrating this season... but I would love to see them pick up a bunch of wins against Baltimore! Tampa has been bad in July but I feel like they'll turn it around before long. They always seem to find a way. Trade action is starting to pick up. The Jays got Hicks from the Cards -- finally some serious heat in the bullpen! The Angels are making a few moves. Hard to see them really making a strong postseason push... but it would be a cool thing to see Trout and Ohtani playing into October. And the Mets are doing some kinda rebuild / re-tool. I think it's smart to get out of the Max Scherzer business now. Might as well cash in on Verlander too. They could turn things around pretty quick with the right trade returns, maybe be competitive again in another year or two if all the stars align.

Iura's episode in Horimiya this week was goddamn hilarious

Seriously! I don't really understand what is actually happening with X... but I'm curious to see what happens next. Cliffhanger in Akane-banashi this week... please tell me she won the competition! Need to see what happens next week. More good stuff in The Elusive Samurai, but it feels like things went a bit too easily... Waiting for the other shoe to drop This week's new chapters of Wild Strawberry and Chainsaw Man were good stuff too. I have pretty high hopes for Wild Strawberry, but you never know. Let's see next week what this new character is all about.

Thank Jesus they are not trading him. That would have been the worst look ever. Looks like they even picked up Giolito from the ChiSox. I'd love to see Ohtani and Trout go on a deep run in October.

Jays took two of three this week at Dodger Stadium. Should have been a sweep but they blew it last night. We will not talk about what took place in Seattle last weekend Toronto host the Angels this coming weekend. Kinda thinking about trying to snag a couple tix to see Ohtani play... but I am so broke right now Probably just watching on TV.

I dunno, I'm sure some live-action series are legit good, but I simply won't watch them. I am happy with manga and anime. Don't need no LA.
