Yeah, I was honestly relieved to see Ichinose end. A few too many random-feeling twists and turns in this story to keep me interested. There were of course good parts too. That's kind of how I'm feeling about JJK right now too. If next week was the final chapter, I'd be like THANK YOU I totally agree on Asumi. I am so into this series. The last couple chapters have been stellar. Sakamoto Days and Elusive Samurai got some pretty sharp looking colour cover pages this week.

I thought it was a pretty decent series. Not the most memorable, but enjoyable. I miss baseball

Texas/Arizona in the World Series would be a pretty low combined win total for two WS teams. Very strong Wild Card vibes. Maybe not great markets for big TV numbers either. I guess tonight’s game will be rigged for Philly

I have hardly played anything but Diablo 2: Resurrected since it released… September 2021 iirc..? I have put a sickening number of hours into D2R over the last two years. It’s shameful But I honestly don’t get tired of it. I love D2[R].

Man, I did not see Texas coming back after blowing all three home games. Weird series. Props to the Rangers for being resilient. I expect Philly to win tonight… But if Arizona does then that will be interesting.

Yeah, I don't get why the M's love trading their closers so much I guess the Rangers don't have much choice but to use Scherzer if it comes down to Game 7... But I don't think they'll feel super good about it. He'll probably have a pretty short leash. His fastball was alright in his first start back, but the slider wasn't working. Maybe he can make some mechanical changes before the next start to be more effective. But if the slider isn't working then that makes it too easy for the Astros' hitters.

Yeah, they've still been good chapters, I'm probably being a bit too critical in my comments about the recent chapters... but I still do want more action and crazy shit to start happening re: Elusive Samurai: I think it's been easier to keep track of who's who by staying current with new chapters every week. If I let it simmer for a few weeks and then tried to catch up, I'd probably feel a bit lost too. There is a lot going on. But I think a good chunk of these newly introduced characters (sometimes killed off shortly thereafter!) aren't super duper important anyhow I also agree re: Ichinose Family. It's getting back into a better groove again IMO. I finished my re-read of YuYu Hakusho yesterday. Those last few chapters are bittersweet. Togashi really seemed to struggle with finding a good way to end it. The final arc is a bit of a mess, and the last 2-3 chapters are quite the hodge podge. But I still loved it. I kind of want to go back to chapter #1 and re-read it all over again This one is on my personal Mt. Rushmore of manga. Truly one of my favs.

I was pretty confident the Rangers would advance after going up 2-0, but at the same time I knew Houston had it in them to come back. They are a very tough and experienced team. I felt like Game 4 was must-win for Texas. Once they let Houston even it up to 2-2, it was over in my mind. Going back to Houston for Games 6 and maybe 7 really swings things in the Astros' favour. It will take a miracle now for Texas to turn it around. This is a bit reminiscent of their World Series against St. Louis where they just couldn't quite finish the job. I'm happy to see the DBacks even up their series with the Phillies, though I am still quite confident in Philly. An upset would be cool too though. I just can't help but think about that damn trade the Jays did sending Moreno and Lourdes for Varsho...

It's an important life lesson I looked up Frieren on Crunchyroll last night and saw there were already seven episodes available..! I thought this only started airing like three weeks ago Anyways, I was feeling a bit sleepy so I didn't start watching it... but I will sometime this week. If I enjoy it, it will be nice to binge watch several episodes.

It feels like the Phils could be any and every team right now. Like they find a different gear in October.

At first glance, I thought I wouldn't like Frieren... but I just read the synopsis and I think it might actually be really good! But I also don't want to end up in another Shield Hero situation where I'm just watching something because I have to finish it. I think it will be better than Shield Hero, even if that's a very low bar to surpass Indecision

I totally agree re: Shield Hero. I'm watching it this season because, well, no good reason really. I don't like to leave things unfinished, I guess? But the first episode back wasn't great. Don't really care about what happens. I think seeing the Shibuya Incident animated has been pretty damn fantastic overall! I have really been enjoying the new episodes. edit: btw you didn't quite bump enough threads to totally take over the portal. Post harder next time!

I keep reading every week but I'm not sure I even know what's happening anymore I really enjoyed these chapters too I keep saying I'm going to check it out but I never quite get to it I've got less than 20 chapters left in my binge read of YuYu Hakusho, and then I'm going to pick JJBA: Golden Wind up again (about 1/3 through). Maybe then I will finally scope out Kaiju No. 8.

I think you're gonna really like Horimiya: Piece. Some of the episodes were SO GOOD. What a wonderful cast of characters in this story. I think Iura's episode might have been my favourite, but it's hard to pick just one favourite episode/moment from it. So much to choose from. Were you following Bungo Stray Dogs before? This latest season was... a mixed bag (IMO)... but still worth a look if you were following it before.

Hearing that honestly made my day Goddamn I loved Skip and Loafer. It's one of those "I wish I could watch it for the first time again" kind of shows. I was pretty bummed out when it was over. If we someday get a little companion series (sort of like Horimiya - Piece) then I will be thrilled.

Only a few weeks away! I still find it hard to believe we're nearly a quarter of the way through 2023 already... For me, it's a relatively short list: Dr. Stone: New World-- Despite my complaints about this show, I came to enjoy Dr. Stone more and more as I read the manga. Looking forward to seeing the next arc animated. Ousama Ranking: Yuuki no Takarabako-- I don't know if this is just a one-episode special or a full season, but I'll take whatever I can get. Bojji and Kage will soon be back in our lives! Gundam: Witch From Mercury Part 2-- Can't wait to see what happens after the crazy finale of the first part. ...and that might be it... There is also a new KonoSuba series this Spring which could be amusing, so I'll at least give it a try for a few episodes and see how it goes. Seems like it is going to focus on Megumin (explosion! ). Might be fun. I will try out some other random stuff that pops up on Crunchyroll, but nothing is really jumping out at me right now.

Feeling pretty good right now about my Rangers/Phils World Series prediction. I don't want to like the Phillies, and I'm not a huge Harper fan... but it's hard to not like that team. They got that dog in them. Some serious scumbag energy too. (Like, the good kind of scumbag )

I was expecting more fireworks in the last couple chapters of Chainsaw Man... it's still interesting but kind of a letdown. Gimme more action. (Looks like that's where the next chapter is heading!)

This is an awesome track Rocco Palladino is killing it on the bass. Yussef Dayes is a great drummer too.

Nanami is a fuckin' boss. I am loving see this arc of JJK animated. Pretty solid first episode back for Dr. Stone too. Also, I ended up watching Shield Hero the other night... all the slave trade stuff is gross, I don't know why it needs to still be a part of the story...

Braves are toast. 3 upsets in the Division Series. Only Houston made it out. I feel like it's going to be a Rangers/Phils matchup in the World Series. Maybe those pesky Astros can still knock out the Rangers, but man that Rangers lineup is going to be tough. I would also love to see the DBacks beat the Phils in the NLCS, but they're a pretty young team still and I think Philly might be too much for them right now. Whatever happens, I am looking forward to the ALCS/NLCS, and it should be a good World Series whichever teams advance.

I didn't check out Shield Hero yet ... but I might one night this week if I'm bored enough. MAL says it will be 12 episodes, so I can live with that.
