    I'm gonna go back and rewatch the ending of season one and then will come back to answer stuff because I think they simply retconned some stuff that they tried to abruptly wrap up in the finale of season 1 here in the beginning of season 2. 

     

    Shadows House as best I can figure out

    They did not anticipate another season and tried to rewrite the storylines. The lurking hooded figure is a major plot point in the manga that should have been better explained, and they leaned way too hard into building Edward into a more prominent villain role. That's the best I can sum up the changes to the season one plot without going into manga plot.

     

    They also tried to end on spooky mystery of "oh noes is the crew safe or not? Go read the manga and find out!" 

     

    On to real answers--- I think they intended the ending to be just that, a "go find out more!" 

    I think they are going to attempt to correct the hooded figure plot line they butchered, judging from s2 ep1

     

    That's about all the manga info I can give, your summary of the first season was accurate. Kate cured Emilico of brainwashing by forcing her to drink a shitload of water until she barfed out the soot. John and Shaun got into an argument that turned into a physical fight and a punch cured Shaun of brainwashing lol. I think both Louise and Patrick talk Lou and Ricky respectively out of their brainwashing, Louise might have used her soot powers to influence Lou? I really don't remember specifics on that.

    I think I'm over Dr. Stone. I still read this special chapter and will probably read future ones but I was ready for it to just be done. 

     

    Akane-banashi is dragging a bit for me, there was too much explaining grinning dude's gimmick and less showing so it feels like the part of this I find most fun has stalled. I'm still very invested though!

     

    Earthchild keeps stressing me out because every fucking chapter feels like "ok THIS is where they're gonna hit wrap up because surely this is getting cancelled" and it KEEPS GOING but I want them to be a happy lil family goddamnit

    gonna be carrying on with my good pals summertime and shadows house

     

    i need to go back and watch made in abyss, the first episode put me off majorly but i've meant to go back to it for a very long time at this point

     

    oh shit new mew mew! excited for that

     

    i somehow missed that shaft was making a rwby anime, that's interesting

     

    i'm too lazy to look at anything in depth, nothing else jumped out instantly but i'll keep my ears open to buzz about things

    I stopped watching it, i figure i'll idly watch the rest at some point but it did not make me care about it in the slightest.

     

    About to watch the finale of Ya Boy Kongming (which I have VERY MUCH enjoyed still) and then I've been saving Komi episodes for a binge watch after we finish the deep clean of the house (which is any day now) and then I'm gonna give Deaimon a watch

    I just realized that while it was a general joke, I was referencing something you might not have seen so allow me to amuse you (maybe) with the reason I caution you about terlit zooms---

But again, he was the guy inviting all the rich people to the event, so they didn’t want to “lecture him about a computer program” and “hurt his ego”.

    Then in our massive 200+ person zoom event, he set his laptop on the bathroom counter and proceeded to take a shirtless, nasty old man dump complete with grunting, splashing, and squelching. It was so loud it drowned out the speaker. They had to end the event early because they had no way to mute him and it kept going for a full two minutes with no sign of stopping. I nearly threw my laptop out a window that night.

    oh shit i forgot to come in here when we saw it but yeah I'll second MT here---- it's really good, definitely give the original a watch beforehand! It's not a reboot, it is a straight up sequel and plays out like a love letter to the original and what people loved about it. Also really cool plane scenes.

    Yeah, Ayashimon was one that I enjoyed but it didn't quite have a good hook in me until more recently and while I assumed the whole story run would be a shorter one due to the power leap I wasn't expecting this =( It just took a little too long for the plot pacing and the art to reach a more appealing balance, the art style is cool but also a slog on the eyes, way too much scratching and dark blobs. That had really started to even out better by this point. Pacing was slow at first, you could tell there was a "meet and gain allies" roadmap but it just wasn't strong enough. 

     

    Oh well, it seems like the author has had more success with a different series that I haven't read so I'll take a look at that. On to the next shonen jump offering I guess!

    Anime continues to deliver :rotfl:  Fuckin' school time is so good, Damian's anya-vision is perfect. They're all such adorable lil dorks.

    Fear no more, looks like the comments I saw about him gettin' in some hot water were just people talking out their ass because SlyFox sub is up on nyaa :lol:

     

    "New release window is now around 24-48h instead of the ~5h after the MX/BS11 airing on TV (or 1-2h after D+)." so I will just be waiting however long it takes for this guy/group/whatever from now on because I'd rather keep up with their subs

     

    I'll watch this ep later today, gettin' shit done for now but I am ready for more!
