We watched prologue and ep 1 of Witch tonight and at the end of ep 1 I screeched THIS IS MORE GAY THAN I HOPED ALREADY

Got our tickets! Going for a relaxed Sunday brunch showing. Still not watching anything beyond that first teaser trailer even though I've had some talk about the other trailer pass by me. I just wanna experience this in a laid back way just grooooooooovy, man

• More Pop Team Epic, for those times where you don't want to think and just laugh
• Depending on if I like the animation style of the Berserk arc I might give it a watch just because it's been so long since I've read or watched any
• I will absolutely watch the mini Di Gi Charat eps.
• I still got a lot of shit to watch from last season and from my backlog in general, good thing I have no life!

Binged the rest of Summertime Rendering! Absolutely loved it, even having binged the entire manga recently the finale still had me all choked up

all my bitching aside though, I really did enjoy the dub cast! I'm enjoying the Japanese cast with the improved subtitles but this might just be a series where the English dub works better for me vibe wise, which is rare and fun

I did a big re-read of Claymore not too long ago! I might have talked about it in here, I don't fucking remember anything ever. It was the first time I got to just read the entire thing beginning to end and was a really good reminder of the influence it had on my art. The story gets weird, like I didn't hate it or anything but it has the Shingeki no Kyojin tonal shift beat out by a decade or so lmao. I think it's worth a read!

Lycoris Recoil was solid! I really enjoyed it. I finally got a chance to start Yurei Deco and I only managed one ep but I'm already all in! Love the vibe and the general story so far!

Got several episodes of Summertime to catch up on, but I since I had to do some bed rest recently and had seen a few spoilers I just binged the whole manga lmao. Very very very excited to see it play out in anime form, but I've just had.... a lot going on in life and with my preferred sub being behind anyway I've just kinda let it pile up to binge sometime soon. I just gotta do it before October starts because October has so much shit I'm gonna be watching!

Dude, I've almost come to blows over people not respecting my cats too. Back when we just had Boog and it was time to move my in-laws kinda steamrolled over us as far as taking over the actual move itself and crammed a bunch of people in our tiny apartment and were crowding the cat and wouldn't let me take her separately insisting she was fine etc etc and it ended up pretty much traumatizing her. It took like a year or so before she started being confident again. None of it was malicious, it was just "we know better and all the cats we've had have been fine with this and you just don't know" type shit but I was about to just throw hands I was so upset

In sadder news, Oobie started to decline pretty rapidly so yesterday we had a in-home service come and we sent him on his way over the Rainbow Bridge. This is the first time in my life I've gone through this, only pet I was ever allowed as a kid was a hamster and while that was sad, it just isn't the same as a cat you've had for a decade, you know? When we lost Percy we'd only had him a few weeks and his death was due to a sudden and traumatic accident. I'm a huge wreck but I'm also at peace that we did the best for Oobie. He was still happy enough to enjoy being near us and getting pets and stuff, and I spoiled the absolute fuck outta him in his last days food wise. Y'all, he got a bit of cheeseburger, he got a bit of cheesy chicken enchilada, he got pulled pork, he got a chicken nugget and he even got sushi grade tuna for his last meal, all that in the last week alone. Before that we'd been giving him as much fancy feast and treats as he wanted/could eat. Near the end he was basically just getting Churus for meals (those treat goop tubes that are so popular!) because that was tasty and easiest for him to eat. He had a good life, he was loved and gave a lot of love. I'm just sad, lol. Gotta figure out how to adjust my existence to not having him in it day to day.

It was Trigger through and through with the style and animation and I absolutely had a blast with it. I'm not really familiar with Cyberpunk beyond just general "cyberpunk" if that makes sense, so there were a few times I asked Lee about game lore or lingo.

My one big gripe is they absolutely butchered the subtitles, used machine translations or something and they were gibberish. I really liked the English cast, I'm just so used to watching with Japanese voices, but the subs were so fucked up I switched to dub.

GONNA TALK ABOUT SOME SAD SHIT SO FEEL FREE TO IGNORE I JUST GOTTA TALK SOMEWHERE AND I CHOOSE HERE

Our cat, Oobie, has had some dramatic severe weightloss in the past few months, we got him checked in Feb and they ran all sorts of tests and all the numbers looked great so we thought it was just stress because a lot of shit was going down in our house around then anyway. We gave him some appetite stimulant and he began eating and eating and eating like he used to and appeared to be on the way back up weight wise and then that just stopped and he's pretty much skin and bones. We took him back today, fully expecting very bad news, but it still fucking hurt when the vet discovered a tumor down by his kidneys.

Oobie is FIV+ and we always knew that something like this was likely going to come up at some point, but you always hope for more time, you know? Especially considering we lost 2 years with him. A door got blown open and he slipped out and was lost for 2 years. We searched daily for months, I went to the city animal shelter a few times a week to check for him. Put up posters. We ended up adopting Tater during our search because someone called us thinking they'd found Oobie and we fell in love with this other lil cat that needed a home and he fell in love with us. We didn't give up looking for Oobie, but Tater helped us heal. Then one night Lee comes home real late and has to park in the far back lot of our complex... and as he's walking towards our building he sees a familiar cat. Thinking he's just being wishful, he calls to it and it runs up and greets him like an old friend..... he'd found Oobie. I will never forget that night as long as I live. We got him back. After 2 years. By some miracle, we were granted more time with him.

The FIV has always made it seem like we got him back on borrowed time (or, as the vet encouraged me to think of it--- "bonus time") so there's never really been any doubt this day would come but.... yeah. I'm devastated, y'all.

He's getting steroids to hopefully keep the tumor under control and let him put some weight back on, and other than being scrawny he's still his same happy self. He's joyful, he wants snuggles, he's enjoying his food and begging for treats. So basically the clock is ticking, and as long as he is happy to be here we're going to be happy to have him. When he's ready to go, we won't try and make him stay. Even bonus time has to end sometime, but we can still enjoy it to the last.

i've fallen behind on anime because of huge chronic pain flare ups but just got my meds refilled so that  ship should right and maybe I'll actually post reactions again.... planning to give yurei deco a go finally! I think i'm only one behind on lycoreco, I haven't watched any shadows house since season 2 premiere.... only thing i've kept current is summertime rendering. PREPARE FOR REACTION SPAM or don't because I might just enjoy em and not type thoughts because i'm lazy who the fuck knows
