Oh shit I never actually posted I fucked loved it. I really want to see it again! It had some "problems" but not in a way that is really a detriment. There's always that ultra fine line in horror where something tips slightly into too much info on your lore or not enough, but a lot of that for me from this comes from expectations via Get Out.

*floats in* Touch me, for I have seen something holy So, first of all, PEOPLE LOVE THIS SERIES BECAUSE THEY HAVE SOULS AND FEELINGS, YOU HEARTLESS MONSTER. But ye, Slix sums it up real well. The first anime kinda ends right before you start really getting into those deeper human stories, but it definitely dips its feet in the water. The premise sounds cute and there's a lot of humor in the series, but for a story involving people turning into animals it really is a very human bunch of stories. The characters have real flaws and issues and learn to address them. It doesn't just happen, you watch them struggle. Second---wab, simulcasts have been a thing for a while now keep the fuck up. MOST IMPORTANTLY---hErE CoMeS sOmE ThOuGhTs Don't worry these are non spoilery: THOSE SLY BASTARDS DID NOT SHOW US THE OPENING OR ENDING THEMES. I will be going into those just as blind as y'all ❤️ The Japanese cast is all new, as per the author's wishes, but eng dub fans will be pleased to know a lot of the original dub cast are returning. We saw the sub version, and O.M.G. they are already bringing it. Definitely a refreshed feel to the characters. The art and animation is just as lovely as the promos lead you to believe. This premiere consisted of some nice little interviews with some of the VAs, both Japanese and English and the first 2 eps. You can really tell they are passionate about this series. That's about it, really... it's Furuba, and oh man are we all in for a treat. Fun bonus fact--- they had absolutely no ending for this event. Like, last scene and BOOM lights went up and screen went dark. Unceremonious AF, I'm still laughing about it

I also do wildlife rehab so I will endlessly mention possums. ok edit because I should actually put effort since we're going for actually talking to each other----- These days I do wildlife rehab, specializing in opossums, and help run a blog about weird thrift store finds. It's all really fun and rewarding, but can be quite challenging at times.

I love to put on Let's Play videos while I draw, so that's mostly what I do on youtube... but I have some others I enjoy! For Gaming/Let's Plays GG Gab is one of my favorites, she's very laid back, can speak multiple languages and has cute cats. My fav thing she does is translation playthroughs of Japanese games that haven't had English releases. She puts a lot of work into them, to the point where she was noticed and hired to do one officially! John Wolfe AKA HarshlyCritical is my other fav. Dude's kinda a sarcastic dick but he plays horror games without fucking screaming all the time and can be really funny. For Fun Food Stuff Cooking with Dog is so fucking charming and fun. It's a Japanese channel where the hosts are a chef and her dog, and the dog narrates (in English!) Sadly the actual dog passed away a bit ago, but he lives on and is still present in videos in stuffed animal form and Chef is still her charming self. Jun's Kitchen another Japan based channel, Jun does some really fucking amazing looking dishes in his small apartment and makes some lovely videos to go with it. He has an American wife (she has a channel of her own I sometimes watch but it's more vlog stuff), so his channel is almost entirely in English, but he will explain Japanese names/terms for things. He features their cats in his videos, which gives them extra charm. He lets the cats sniff what he's doing so that their curiosity is sated and they will just sit and watch him work. It's great! For Silly Fun Drawfee some artist friends take funny ideas (for example---making someone who doesn't know anything about pokemon draw what she thinks they look like based on pokedex entries) and collab to make silly drawings! They draw some batshit things and a good time is had by all.... and they always end an episode by apologizing for what they drew. Love it.

Shit I tried to make a list but I can't because I'm all over the place with how I'm watching shit right now. Powered through some older series I never got around to watching this past week. Most important is absolutely Fruits Basket.

We're going to see this on Saturday! I am super pumped. Didn't get to see Get Out in theaters for varying reasons so I told Lee there was no way in hell I was missing out on this on the big screen.
