That whole place was a management disaster, yeah. The GM that hired me quit fairly shortly after she hired me on beyond seasonal and things just kinda snowballed worse and worse. When I left there was finally a new GM so maybe she whipped things into gear?

Yeah, that sounds much better. It started being threatening ultimatums of "no one can leave until the entire truck is unloaded" which would mean there were 3 or 4 of us desperately trying to stock around active customers because we were a busy location and it'd really piss the customers off and we'd still not get everything done because we'd have to drop shit to help if asked. I do not understand management choices there

Oh man, I used to do truck shifts for Ulta and that meant going and unloading boxes and putting out product at like 3am on Fridays and for a while it was pretty good, lots of the pros you mentioned... no customers, I had earbuds in..... but then they banned us from listening to music and the deliveries started getting STUPID ridiculous for what was mostly a crew of petite women (and then me with the bad back, but that was a whole other weird issue) and then they'd make us stay later and later and it was just...... no good. Sometimes I think fondly of listening to an audiobook while lining up eyeliner though haha

I drink way more Diet Sunkist than I should but I love it ;; I really like some of those water flavor drops, the Mio type stuff. Scratches the itch of wanting something with more flavor, but we got decent tap water 'round here so just a glass of that can be real nice. It's been ages since I've had some, but I have a fondness for this diet instant peach tea powder stuff. Sometimes I get the urge and find some and enjoy it for a while. Man, going back to possum talk... I'm currently trying to choke down an anxiety attack about this possum. Last time I had a possum this age with a tail injury, the vet was very wrong in her diagnosis and that possum suffered needlessly until I was able to help her pass peacefully. It still devastates me when I think about it. The vet was not wrong this time, she made the call to give Grimy a bit more time to see if the bloodflow in the tail meant it could heal. With the tail tip dying, the next step is a very simple procedure to amputate the tip, cauterize and then see him through the healing. Should be just fine. He's having other issues from all the soot he inhaled, but seems to be doing well in those areas too. I am already deeply emotionally invested in this possum and while I have confidence in the treatment plan and his future right now I'm just hitting myself with all the what ifs and it fucking sucks

I don't think it was quite that dramatic but I do have a good screaming story I don't remember why but as we pulled up to the speaker of the drive through of a Raising Canes I had been making a screeching noise or something at Lee as a joke and the Canes people have to say dumb stuff like "hey hey hey want some chicken today" when you pull up but apparently I threw this guy off because he just goes "..Welcome to Canes, AAAAHHHHHHHHHHH" and imitates the noise I was making It was perfect

If I drink it's almost always either a cider (love me some Bishop Apple Pineapple!!), jack and coke or a margarita. I like fruity drunk potions too. I just don't drink much, so it doesn't take much to get me giggly so I'm a cheap date alcohol wise
