Y'all doing anything today? I'm chilling out and my fam is sticking to me like always. I did the whole socializing and cook out thing yesterday, which was fun. BBQ is like the best part of summer, imo.

Lol, that's fair. Vaccine and the health insurance would be why I stick around.

I'm on the list for vaccinations, but haven't been able to take any since the surgery. I should've asked about that today. My job has been pushing for folks to get vacced asap. Some (good) news: went to the doc and it turns out that an abscess ruptured and cause all the grossness yesterday. These are common to happen during these types of wounds and nothing I did caused it. Glad it was caught before I got an infection. Stomach now hurts like hell with a big gash in it and I'll find out if I can still go to work on time. And speaking of work, they dun fucked up. I haven't been paid since Jan 5th and it turns out somebody put me under LWOP since then when I'm supposed to be under paid leave . I'm being told three different things from people and I'm losing my shit while running through all the savings I've worked hard to build up. I can't even anymore. Just wanna say "fuck this" and go back to work.

I have an emergency visit at the clinic tomorrow. Long story short, what I thought was an reaction to putting liquid bandage on my incision turned out to be a potential lifesaver. This pink-yellowish swelling started two holes along the cut that grew has been leaking naaaasty shit for days. And now I have a large gap on the belly. Apparently the lifting incident I had with the 14 lb ball of fur weeks ago tore a good portion of the stitches open underneath. Minus the pain and the leaking, I don't feel feverish, fatigued, or any other signs of infection and that's good news. But now I'll have to get stitched up again and just set my healing back for weeks. Fuck, and I supposed to go back to work in 12 days. I'm checking up on ma and pa kins and they seem to be stable. I'm definitely not going to tell them what happened or they will kill me lmao. Thanks y'all for the well wishes; this whole ordeal has me wrecked.

Welp, my week has been shit lol. Insomnia has left me a restless hollow shell with raging hormones, just found out my mom and dad (technically step dad, but he's more of a father than my sperm donor was) have Covid and are sick at home, and I'm a fuckin dumbass and needs to go back to the hospital tomorrow.

Yeah, same deal and it blows. Lived in our place for 3 years this year and yet this is the year they hike the rent up from $646 to $700. Still manageable, buuut that's def. the sign for us to move out lol. Had way too rough and experience dealing with that in Nashville. Didn't want to live in this place for more than 3 years anyway. Did they even explain the increase?

Been playing Hades and it's a good time. I generally don't do rogues, but the gameplay loop and the story/game progression got me hooked. Pokemon Sword still has my attention with the amount of stuff to do still as I've barely touched crown tundra dlc. And Hollow Knight because it's my fix, lol.

Sorry you have to deal with such ignorance, Anelle, holy shit. Like I can't fathom some folks rationality when it comes to Covid at this point. Today, I had my follow up appointment. Not gonna lie, the first week home was rough. I couldn't eat, sleep, move around comfortably, had no sense of time, and could barely see straight. But according to the doc, I am healing up well despite kinda pull the stitches earlier that week. I have to take hormones and iron/b12 supplements from now on and homebound for 7 weeks. I hope I have enough paid leave for that. Also, that surgery report is the stuff of nightmares and I really can't believe that I survived that condition for so long. Also, Galeigh's folks came by and dropped off a nice new years snack tray and sparkling grape juice. Love them! Hate not being able to have a nice glass of wine. But Jams and the oxycodone won't let me lol. Can't wait to be rid of the oxy; those side effects aren't worth it.

I'm okay with questions, Anelle. Anything super private can go through mgs. I didn't realize how close to danger I was until woke up. Hopefully, it won't happen again. Bummer that I didn't get gifting this year as I could really do it. But I'm spending a quiet one with Gal and watch the WW movie. No booze tho.
