The fact that nothing opens until 10AM. My daughter's up at 6, it's raining, what the f&^% am I supposed to do with an energetic toddler for four hours before she starts to tear the house apart? And then by 11AM she needs to eat and take her nap, so there's no point going anywhere in the morning, and in the afternoon she's cranky. PARENTHOOD.

Golden Compass is a mixed bag for me. I both totally love its utter debunking of Christianity (and the Miltonic influences it plays with in doing that), but can't help feel kind of pandered to as an atheist >_> As a piece of writing, has some great bits, but ultimately was kind of forgettable (except for daemons and the armored bear. They were great.)
