23.) Persona 4: Golden I'm not TECHNICALLY done with this yet, but getting close. Hit a bad ending though so I'm putting it up now since it was still technically an ending. >_> A friend let me borrow the game. Played it on the PSTV I bought forever ago so it was nice to finally have a reason to use it. XD Pretty interesting overall. The contrast between the "social" side of the game and the dungeon side of it felt really stark though. No real flow between the two it was "Do a shit load of this. Now do a shit load of this." I've heard 5 handles that a little better though. Story is interesting and I'm enjoying going through it. Combat is relatively challenging and I find myself using status and elemental stuff more than I do in most RPGs which is nice. Looking forward to seeing the good ending and finding out what's actually going on and will probably continue taking an interest in the series based on what I've seen with this one. Was planning on going for the platinum but I'm not going to bother at this point. One of the mini-games that you have to do to max out all the social stuff is fucking stupid as fuck and almost made me stop playing the game honestly. The fishing one specifically. Looked up tons of things about it and tried to figure out how to do it but just can't. Literally all the advice is "you pretty much have to do this on the Vita" which means I'm completely out of fucking luck. Don't know if the response time through a PS3 and PS4 controller is just not good enough or what, but it can go right ahead and fuck itself. Wasted hours trying to do it and can't even get close so not going to bother with pushing for the trophies on it anymore.

There are rumors that there may be a remaster in the works for it. Apparently Square renewed the trademark for title in the UK or something like that. Would certainly like to see it happen. Always really liked that game. It was really different from a lot of things at the time and even the 2nd one wasn't too bad (never played the 3rd one though. Hell, didn't even know it existed. Gotta love that Sony handheld support. >_> ). Otherwise, you can get the original on PS3/PSP/Vita off their store I believe. Definitely worth the play imo.

EVERY time I've almost forgot about that, someone has to bring it up again.

It's okay. I'll touch it enough for both of you.

It's nice to start finally seeing some coherent (relatively speaking) plot for this game. So basically, it's a reimagined, video game version of 'The Postman' XD

22.) Horizon: Zero Dawn This game was pretty impressive overall. Playing through the DLC right now, but the main game was interesting pretty much the whole way through. Has a bit of the Ubsioft signature "Climb a tower to reveal things to find in the open world" shit but it's not overdone and I actually WANTED to find the stuff because the world was interesting enough for it. Combat is where the game really shines though. All of the machines are really well designed and function differently, and they're really intricate. There are so many pieces you can knock off of them to disable their abilities or stun them or whatever and it leaves you with a lot of choice in how you approach fights. Story was really interesting too. Trying to figure out what happened to the world that it ended up the way it did. After credits bit was also really interesting and makes me hope they'll continue it at some point. Felt like there were only a couple shortcomings in the game but they were only minor gripes. One being that basically every vendor is pretty much exactly the same so even as of the beginning of the game you can buy basically any weapon and gear you want (just gotta farm up the money/mats for it) and then don't need to change anything for the rest of the game and crafting materials are almost TOO prolific. I maxed out my inventory pretty early one and spent the rest of the game just selling excess stuff for money that I pretty much didn't need.

I didn't mind Iron Heart. Followed her for a little bit when she was heading the regular Iron Man comic and it was pretty decent. Interested in seeing this. Would be cool if they pull Pepper in on occasion too like they did with her in the comic. Really wish they could have got the Fox stuff and established Doctor Doom before they axed Tony though so we could have also had him trying to be Iron Man because I absolutely loved that story arc.

I suspect he may have a drug problem though. Happens to all the greats.

Have to say this is one I kind of wish I had got on PC now that I have mine working properly again. When there's a lot going on in combat, the PS4 chugs pretty hard. The visual effects when the enemies die are really cool and look amazing, but the PS4 does NOT like them. XD

You can if I remember correctly. If you're playing on console, I think it was down on the d-pad if I remember correctly. Only problem playing so many games at once is I get controls mixed up sometimes. I think you get the power right around that point. Easily the best one in the game (not that the others aren't good too) and I recommend upgrading it before most of the others (except maybe health and energy as needed). Especially if you aren't a fan of the shooting as it auto-targets enemies and after upgraded will one-shot almost any normal enemy. There's only a few enemies that it's not as useful against (a few can dodge it), but there are ways around that.

I'm loving this game. Haven't noticed too much issues with the shooting myself, but I don't honestly use it much at the point I'm at. Have you got the telekinesis thing yet? Once you can throw shit at enemies you almost don't need the gun anymore with the right upgrades and mods. Still lots of Overwatch and Anthem for me. Still slowly working my way through Persona 4: Golden (can only play when wife is asleep so I don't spoil it for her so I don't get a lot of time with it). Making solid progress on Horizon: Zero Dawn, and have also started Control. Absolutely loving the game. Combat gets intense, exploration feels really meaningful, and the story is interesting. Feels like a super serious version of Warehouse 13 with the mysterious "What the fuck is going on!?" tone of something like Lost or Legion. Main shortcoming I've seen so far is the map is kind of garbage. It's not the worst in game map I've ever seen, but it's pretty far down on the list. Looks nice, but isn't terribly functional. Hoping to finish at least one of these before next week when Greedfall comes out since that seems like it will be a much more involved game.

It was a little vague, but they clarified in the comments on the tweet pretty quickly.

It's not a "Get it free on this day or else" kind of thing. Just from that date forward, if you have Forsaken, the Year 2 DLC will be free (ie: It's basically part of the full purchase from that point on and not a separate add on). So if you bought Forsaken on Steam when it's available on Oct. 1st (which will still be discounted), you would still get the Year 2 DLC with it for free.

New patch 1.40 Anyone who has the game, if you haven't tried the cataclysm stuff yet, now is the time. All events in side it are up, all Javelin armor from the event is up, gear reward chests bought with the currency from doing it are all available this week so you can go for whichever type you want (new guns, melee weapons, and new/upgraded support gear), etc. This patch also increases the vault storage by 100 slots which was sorely needed. Also, the cataclysm is home to easily the best cosmetic in the game. Can give your Javelin grabbit ears.

Sounds like they showed a trailer at D23 for the Black Widow movie as well, and revealed a poster for it online. Looks like Task Master will be the villain for it. Not really sold on the mask design, but I'm interested in seeing the character regardless. Also looks like we'll see the Red Guardian (played by David Harbour).

Yep. I think the intention was to artificially pad the replay value so you need to play it multiple times to "see" everything, but the game is NOT good enough for that to be anything but fucking infuriating. So glad I looked into it before playing because going into it blind would have made me rage quit it pretty fucking fast.

One of my theories since the beginning is that they would flip them at some point (even if only temporarily), but yeah; a Luke on Degobah/Anakin on Mortis style force vision thing is what I'm honestly expecting. Edit: Thinking on it some more, another possibility that I thought of is possession. Is there any precedence in the old EU for a force ghost possessing another Force user (or person or anything in general)? Because another possibility is some Darth Sidius possession shit going down. >_>

Also, one of my favorite scenes :

If you haven't started/got too far yet, I HIGHLY recommend this one. Includes maps for each area, specific time goals to make sure you're still on track, and calls out trophies and stuff, but doesn't spoil important story points at all. It's the one I used and was pretty much perfect. https://www.trueachievements.com/walkthroughpage.aspx?pageid=5914

And that isn't even its final form. Lightning Returns is hardcore anime bullshit through and through and it doesn't try to hide it. Hell, the opening cinematic is basically an atypical anime duel between Lightning and Snow in the middle of a rave. XD I think you'll enjoy it from a story standpoint (still nothing I'd call great, but it keeps your attention well enough). Gameplay has a really strong (if artificially generated via arbitrary time limits) sense of urgency too, but it can be more frustrating than actually fun if you don't have a good handle on it. Combat is decent. Feels like a mix between X-2 and XIII and ends up being more interesting than I was expecting it to be overall.

As well as Ms. Marvel, and She-Hulk. All 3 of these could be really good if done right. ?

That idea reminds me (at least conceptually) of 'Wes Craven's New Nightmare'. XD

I'm curious if they're going to adapt, continue off of, or just flat out ignore the Matrix Online story. It was (at least originally) canon and continued the story straight off of the last movie and revolved heavily around whether Neo was actually dead or not (had major events involving Morpheus demanding the return of his body from the machines and the machines confirming they did not recycle his body but refusing to return it, etc. ). Shit got a little weird at points, but it was an interesting vehicle for the story.
