I think if you're like me and just feeling nostalgic it'll mostly be fine other than the missing Pokemon. But I doubt you're going to be too up in arms over that. If you are really feeling just nostalgia, there's Pokemon let's go Pikachu too. Loved that.

That Farfetch'd fucked my Pokemon up so bad. Holy shit. I had to get that motherfucker to 1 HP before I finally caught his ass (chipping away tiny bits at a time with the hail that my snowbro started).

Played for a few hours. This sure is a Pokemon game. Lol. I never really use the other Pokemon except my starter at the beginning though so ya know. We'll see how it goes. Got a free Pikachu because I played Let's Go Pikachu and yeeted that other shitty rando electric Pokemon into a box.

Yeah it seems like they phoned it in for this one a little even if kids still also want to play it (regarding cutting features and Pokemon). Kids will play pretty much anything. Look at Fortnite the lootbox buying simulator. That's not what I'd want them to measure by. Good games are good games and kids will still play games that have good stuff in them (likely ignoring the added layers of complexity). It obviously is a pretty game though. Better than a handheld is easy with the power of a console so I was expecting a little more. Not awful or anything though.

I've never had any of the problems you just had with the editor. I genuinely have no idea what happened to mess this up. I cut the text out of the big fucked up spoiler tag, deleted the spoiler tag, made a new one, and pasted the text inside. Fixed. Were you on mobile? This kind of sounds like a problem of unrealistic expectations to an extent. I haven't started playing so I'll have more thoughts after a while.

I fixed the code in your post. No idea how people do this stuff. 6.5 seems harsh. I think a lot of your cons are things that aren't going to bother me since I'm not that hardcore into the series.

I can't even remember a time where I caught a way higher level than me Pokemon. I've always kind of liked grinding but also doing all the trainer battles has always pretty much ensured you'd be leveled high enough most of the time. Still seems like a stupid decision though. If you want to do it, why not? I don't even get what reasoning there'd be for that. It just seems dumb.

Maybe Ultra Sword will actually have the entire Pokedex. What bothers me the most is that they said they had to cut it because of all the animations and stuff but the animations still look exactly the same with the useless shitty what I'd basically call shaking effects. Why did they have to cut them?

You know why it bothers me? The animations don't look any better than they do on the 3DS. Where is all this animation work they're talking about doing? I watched the trailer and it's the same lame shit they've been doing for 20 years. Lol. That's what they're so worried about? They finally do a console game and THAT is what we get?

Posting the direct for anyone that didn't watch. Looks like Pokemon might be in the overworld now like in Let's Go? I hope so that would be such a massive QoL improvement. Pretty sure I'm getting sword because I want a pokemon with a sword and not a giant shield.
