Of note here...apparently the FF7 that you get does not upgrade to the PS5 version. Kind of a dick move but that's okay because I'm not planning to BUY anything until they put out all the parts anyway.

I might plug in a hard drive at some point for ps4 games too. We'll see. I got demon's souls and Spider-Man. Spidey is probably the big one everyone is playing. The backwards compatibility is what made day 1 easier for me. I can still play the ps4 games I haven't finished but with better performance potentially and a controller with better battery life I think? Seems like a win.

Played some Miles last night. Fun stuff. PS5 is definitely ugly as fuck. I'm genuinely surprised Jovanna let me put it in top of the TV entertainment center. It's too fucking wide to get inside (Kallax shelves). Need to get a longer hdmi and then I'm moving to the shelves I have on the side.

You ordered one directly from Sony or...? I'm confused. Those things are fucking expensive so we're strictly in "bring your own fucking controller when you visit" mode for now (not buying a 2nd one ).

Cool video. Later people showed where the NVMe slot is and it's super easy to get in there and uses actual standard parts as usual (though there are minimum specs).

This is about the response I expected. We'll see once we get it in our hands. USB-C and a much better battery (supposedly) are really all I needed to see. The battery life on the PS4 controller is garbage compared to others. Gotta say though I kinda wish they'd done what Microsoft did with letting you just use batteries. Sell it to us with an integrated battery that can be removed and replaced with regular/rechargeable batteries. Was probably never going to happen but would have been nice.

That is what it is. It looks weird because it is more XBOX controller shaped. I knew something seemed off. I don't HATE it but I do hope they make an all black one (or black/red ).

Good, sounds like it's not going to roll out slow as fuck like 360 games did but basically they're checking everything real quick and then making fixes or planning to make them when needed.
