GOOD NEWS SHADOWS HOUSE FANS

Finally had the brainspace to sit and marathon TWEWY and loved it! Made me really miss the game, but the animation on its own was a fun experience and I really like how they handled it. It very much served its purpose of setting up hype for TWEWY Neo.... I was already excited but now..... MEGA EXCITE.

As far as I can tell, Shadows House does not have an official english translation edition yet in any form, unless I've missed it (and I've searched a few times) so I've read fan scans. For the latest few chapters I used https://cubari.moe/read/gist/shadows_house/ because that's what the Shadows House subreddit recommends so fuck it Please go in knowing that the anime skipped quite a bit to get to the revelations shown so you're going to feel a bit impatient but once you catch up it's more of a complete experience story wise!! Big shit is going down with the latest chapters, so you'll get back to the thrill of new info! I'm a bit baffled by how they chose to end the anime! What a fucking wet fart that was! Coming from the manga and knowing they went for a different telling for the anime since a season 2 wasn't guaranteed I thought I saw where they were going but nah, they went for the WELP MAYBE THERE'S SEASON TWO HERE'S SOME WEIRD LOOSE ENDS AND SOME GLIMPSES OF STUFF THAT DOESN'T MEAN ANYTHING TO YOU BYE

Shadows House anime retooled the plot (with the author's help/blessing according to stuff i've read ) in case it was limited to just one season/wasn't successful. I must admit I'm not a huge fan of these changes but I get it, it's a tough market out there and covid wrecked things so much that trying to break into any longer running series is gonna be a gamble. There's apparently also been promises that a season 2 would go back on track with the manga plot but after watching ep 12 uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh that's gonna be clunky as fuck or just impossible. I think it's possible to tell the general story with these changes, but if y'all enjoyed the premise of this story then I'd highly recommend the manga! It really feels like Cloverworks has too much on their plate because they've had a LOT of stuff come out that clearly has hard work and love put into it but the overall production and story changes just completely fuck it over

Vivy YESSSSSSSSS those actions scenes HNNNNNNNG I love this show Shadows House I'm surprised they dragged these scenes out into a full episode like this. It really was not a strong episode, but if they get back on track this story does pick up. I honestly figured they'd cut down the moments from this ep since they dragged a bit in the manga but GOES TO SHOW WHAT I FUCKIN' KNOW Also I was SUPER annoyed at the translation for the ending theme. I dunno if this is the first time it's cropped up and I just haven't noticed before but I fucking HATE when they try to make translations fit an english rhyming scheme. I think that song's a bop and they done butchered it

Treated myself to Super Cub ep 1 while the kitten was napping! I'm looking forward to more, but i'll probably take it slow and, dare i say, enjoy the ride

I've fallen behind on stuff after having to go out of town so quickly but I'm getting back into the groove of things! I am utterly smitten with Vivy, I can't wait to see what happens next! Shadows House is getting into the groove, still enjoying the manga on that too! Had a new chapter drop

We finally got to see Demon Slayer Mugen Train It was soooo good! Been looking forward to this for a long while.

I can't even watch Mars Red because the Funimation site is breaking for it specifically and I don't care enough to seek it elsewhere. It really seems like one of those "arty" things that you either like or you don't. I've enjoyed what I've seen but not in an overly enthusiastic way, hopefully they fix their shit so I can keep going.

god this latest Vivy ep was soooooo good and yesssssssssss get more into Shadows House yesssssssssssssssssss if it continues on this track it should be really good, the manga is fantastic

Watched first ep of Mars Red this morning and enjoyed it, did a bit of googling to see direction and stuff and found out it's based on a stage reading play so that should make for something different at least i also made the mistake of looking at some other forum discussions about it and holy goddamn shit weeaboos are the fucking worst lmfao

I had Lee watch ep 1 of Vivy and he's interested in it but wants to let it build up a few first but I am excited he's on board

It has its own charm, I think I'm going to follow in Ma's footsteps and pace it out a bit, the shakey parts aren't kind on my brain either. I was still delighted the whole time, mind you, but yeah

Netflix chose to be cagey with their advertising for Gokushufudou, it's called something like an "animated comic" in japan but marketed to other countries as "anime" which had people's expectations up for like... movement lmao. It's just meant to breathe a little more life into the comic with limited motions and voice acting. I really hope it gets a full blown anime sometime because I would absolutely watch it

Just watched first 2 eps of Vivy and I am so down for this!! Loving it so far!

Shaman King God it has been a long long long long time since I read the manga so I've forgotten almost everything entirely and this first ep is like.... PAINFULLY early 2000s shonen lmfao. Gave me fuckin' whiplash. Still, even if I've forgotten details I remember just devouring the manga so I'm gonna stick with it

FRUITS BASKET ZOMBIE LAND SAGA SEASON 2 YAAAAAAAAAAS YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAASSSSSSSSSSSSSS pretty pumped for MHA season 5 but those others are my top two because i CRAVE MORE and with my hero i at least get a fix from the manga every week I'm very tentatively excited for Shaman King but it's one of those things where I'm not gonna let myself get too hyped until it's proved itself. Everything sounds like they're really gonna do it well this time around but still... i done been burned before I still might shit my pants over there being a The World Ends with You anime, honestly. It's been SO FUCKING LONG that I barely remember the full story so I'm waiting to pounce on that but the hype is real. I think my attention span plate will be pretty full with those so I'll wait for more reactions and stuff for other series.
