Fire Kotick, fix all the bullshit at those companies (most of management) and that would at least be somewhat of a positive. I do not love what a huge portion of gaming Microsoft owns now after that though. On their way to becoming like Disney in the gaming space.

I played a few hours of that Avengers game and while the story is interesting, it's not really that unique and the gameplay is just SO bland that I think I'm just gonna bail and play something I have more fun with rather than trying to force my way through this to finish the story. I figured I have Game Pass so I might as well do it and I'm just kinda meh on it. I might just go play GotG instead since that's supposed to actually be fun.

Got these bad boys today. Unfortunately I can't pair them to my 8bitdo adapter in Android right now but they work fine in Windows so I dicked around with some N64 games on the PC for a bit. Controller definitely feels right.

Mixed feelings. Last ME game was underwhelming and Bioware seems to just suck more and more as time goes on.

Tbh Bethesda has been getting scummier and scummier and Microsoft less so. This is mostly good except they'll control id and they're super hostile to Vulkan.

The dumb part was they retired the EA Download Manager for Origin and are going back to EA "desktop" now.

You absolutely can fuck up a remake or remaster or re-anything where they touch it at all. It should be impossible but somehow it is.

I am hearing good things about Avengers single player. Another game with live service shit shoehorned into it but at least not completely ruining it. I will probably watch for a sale and run through it at some point.

Gameplay is fun but I can only play so much at a time. Burned out real bad played BL2 and just couldn't do it for a while.

I'm going to get borderlands 3 eventually when the complete collection is like 20 bucks and we can do that.

That doesn't mean anything though. Disney isn't making the game, Square is...and why would Disney not want Sony to give them extra money if that were the case anyway? No one is concerned about selling less copies because this has been going on for literally over a decade. Lol. Chances are that Sony paid Square a shitload of money just like Sony paid Bungie a shit load of money or like how Microsoft used to pay Activision boatloads of money for Call of Duty. This isn't new. Until I see otherwise, I assume the most likely culprit is a swimming pool full of money built behind the Square office because that has historically been the case in nearly every single instance. If this is because of Disney, that just means Disney has another swimming pool filled with money next to Scrooge McDuck's and Disney still OWNS the rights. No one has to do anything. When you say "well Sony owns the rights" you are inadvertantly shifting some of the blame away from everyone being the money grubbing shits they are. There was a choice, Sony decided to bribe SOMEONE, be it Disney/Marvel or Square. Sony owns nothing but movie rights and anything related to this is indeed just related to this. I don't know why you want to push this idea. It comes from literally nothing. All signs point to, Sony gave either Marvel or Square a huge bag of money for an exclusive character like Sony and Microsoft have been doing with DLC for like 15 years. It's dumb to push this complicated theory about someone owning the rights and this has to happen when there a much simpler answer pointing to the same stupid story we've been seeing forever now.

They own the rights to the movies. They negotiated this with Marvel because both companies are shitbags. To add on here, Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3 came out AFTER the PS4 Spider-Man game and has Spider-Man in it so there's clearly no exclusive license with Sony and Spider-Man videogames. They're allowed to make their own series but they don't have exclusive rights. No this, this is just the same bullshit Sony and Microsoft have been doing for years now. It's dumb and everyone hates it. I get really annoyed when I keep seeing people half way excusing it with things like "well they do OWN the character" which is definitely not the case at all.
