    Well, My Grandad passed away today. The only good thing I can say was that it wasn't Covid.

    Naturally I have Covid now. Doc said that because I was vaxxed the symptoms should be milder.

    They were not vaccinated, and now they are paying for it. My dad is doing okay as his O2 levels are in the safe zone.

    Aaaaaand my dad just tested positive.

    My Uncle waited too late to go to the Hospital, but we got my mom there via ambulance when her o2 levels started dropping. She is awake and stabalized. As long as there isn't a hard turn she should be ok. The problem is that she was close to the uncle who passed and we are worried what the added stress will do. My uncle's shitty GF called her before my dad could tell her.

    My mom is in the hospital with Covid. And I just got a call my Uncle died from covid last night. Just... fuck.

    We're still dealing with some rooms being closed due to confirmed cases. At a daycare. For children.

    Desi got her first shot yesterday. Soon we'll both be fully vaccinated.

    Got my 2nd yesterday too. Had some severe shoulder pain and fatigue, but that's mostly gone now.

    If it's anything like our old apartment they want to double the rent but can only do it a little at a time. Once they start hiking, it's time to find somewhere else.

    She is coming home later today.

    Desi just cleared me giving more details: her other issues were that her reproductive system was riddled with cysts and crushed and infected her appendix. It ALL had to come out.

    I talked to desi this morning. She's a little loopy from the meds and in some pain, but is doing ok. I told her all your well wishes and she sends her Thanks.

    Sorry, i was dead tired and crashed when I got home. The nurse was kind enough to let me stay way past visiting hours to see her being moved back into her room. She was asleep but breathing easily when i left. I couldn't stay overnight as her mom tool that one. Her mom has refused to outright say what is was and I didn't get a chance to talk to her before she went into surgery, but knowing desi and the other issues going on it was likely a Hysterectomy. No way Desi would pass up a chance to have one with no arbitrary rules stopping her.

    I am at the hospital right now. She is in surgery. I will let y'all know how it turns out. Edit: just got notified that she is out surgery and in the recovery room. It was successful.

    yeah so it wasn't covid. Desi had 2 different infections, a GI bleed, Strep, and other issues whose symptoms matched up with covid. Currently Desi is in the hospital recovering from all that shit.
