There is no real explanation for the strength other than "it's shounen manga and it makes funny moments/easy outs for some logistics" Chrome will grow on you, I promise!

Watched the first ep of this, then went and binged the manga. I've kept up with the anime so far, but I'm bored with the pacing. The manga has some pacing issues too, but once they find the footing of the story I think the anime will pick up
