  1. Holy fuck did they botch the ending. It legit caused me emotional damage and made the rest of the episode hard to sit through. I enjoyed most of what I watched, but there were a lot of choices that just plain didn't make any sense. The actors they got to play the characters were great, although the way Vicious was written was just off the entire time. They nailed the vibe, and the music was awesome. I might've given season 2 a shot because of how much I love the source material, but some time would've had to pass between me watching the first and second seasons so I could move on past what bugged me.
  2. I'm still enjoying it overall, but I think episode 8 is where it's starting to lose me a bit.
  3. Boy was I totally unprepared for that body horror shit in episode 4. I watched it before bed, thankfully it didn't give me nightmares. Also, I saw it pointed out somewhere (I think reddit) that the guy playing Jet also played Bushmaster in season 2 of Luke Cage. Blew my mind
  4. I'm two episodes into this and i'm liking it so far. My only real complaint is the guy they got to play Vicious. Not in the way he acts, but I always thought Vicious was more of a pretty boy, and this guy definitely isn't. The guy they got to play Jet sounds a lot like him at times, which is great. I'm liking John Cho as Spike so far, and I haven't seen enough of Faye to really form an opinion just yet. Watching this does make me really want to re-watch the anime, I think it's probably been over a decade since i've seen it beginning to end. I may wait until I finish this version first though.
  5. Yeah, I heard that too. Still sucks if it's true.
  6. The comments in the reddit thread were hating on it, but I don't think it looks that bad.
  7. I've heard that story isn't real from two different people, but haven't seen anything about it in any official capacity.
  8. “Nothing in the story says Ein has to be a Corgi,” How about EVERY SCENE HE'S IN?
  9. Dude, before stuff like Iron Man and Blade, comic book movies were GOD FUCKING AWFUL. Saying live action anime can NEVER be good is just ridiculous. I mean, just look at this shit The Fantastic Four movie was so bad, it was never actually released in any official capacity. Or shit, any of the original Batman movies that weren't by Tim Burton. There are plenty of terrible examples of comic book movies and look at them now, raking in billions of dollars to high critical acclaim.
  10. The same was said about comic book movies for years, and look how big that got.
  11. Spike, Jet, Faye, and Vicious have all been cast. I...don't hate it?
